Teorie a praxe prvních novočeských překladů
This bachelor work focuses on literary movements influencing Czech translation theories in the time of the Czech National Revival. The central point of focus is then the movement of the Czech Pre-romanticism translation theories and literary aesthetics as the result of the characteristic developmental situation related to the linguistic and aesthetic phenomena connected with the needs of the Czech language, culture and national self-awareness. Czech Pre-romantic translation theories are the result of a complicated situation of the turn of 18th and 19th century when the Classicistic translation theories and aesthetics did not completely vanish from the Czech approaches to translation and literature and thus started to interfere with newer theories. Katedra anglistiky a amerikanistikyDokončená práce s úspěšnou obhajobo
Assessment of possible options of direct railway connection between Brno and Boskovice
Cílem práce je stanovení možných variant řešení přímého spojení Brno - Boskovice, které vychází z analýzy současného stavu v oblasti dopravní nabídky a faktorů, které jsou podstatné pro budoucí možné rozšíření této nabídky, a to včetně strategických dokumentů orgánů státní správy i samosprávy v oblasti dopravního plánování. Pro zhodnocení variant je proveden výpočet technologických a provozních parametrů a jsou posouzeny možnosti jejich praktického využití v rámci současného systému dopravy. The aim of this work is to define possible options of direct railway connection Brno Boskovice on the basis of the analysis of the current offer of traffic connections and factors that are essential for the future possible enhancement of that offer including strategic documents issued by bodies of the public administration and local government, which concern the area of transport planning. The comparison of variants consists of the calculation of technological and operating parameters followed by the assessment of possible implementation of individual variant into the current transport system.Katedra technologie a řízení dopravyStudent úspěšně obhájil diplomovou práci a zodpověděl dotazy zkušební komise položené v rozpravě

Experimental investigation of coarse particle conveying in pipes
The advanced knowledge of particle-water mixture flow behaviour is important for safe, reliable, and economical design and operation of the freight pipelines. The effect of the mixture velocity and concentration on the coarse particle – water mixtures flow behaviour was experimentally investigated on an experimental pipe loop of inner diameter D = 100 mm with horizontal, vertical, and inclined pipe sections. Narrow particle size distribution basalt pebbles were used as model of coarse-grained solid particles. The radiometric method was used to measure particle concentration distribution in pipe cross-section. Mixture flow behaviour and particles motion along the pipe invert were studied in a pipe viewing section. The study revealed that the coarse particlewater mixtures in the horizontal and inclined pipe sections were significantly stratified. The particles moved principally in a layer close to the pipe invert. However, for higher and moderate flow velocities the particles moved also in the central part of the pipe cross-section, and particle saltation was found to be dominant mode of particle conveying

Low-Melting Phosphate Glass Coatings for Structural Parts Composed of Depleted Uranium
The applications of depleted uranium in mechanical engineering are limited by its high susceptibility to corrosion. Among various methods of corrosion protection, painting is usually considered a fast and cost-efficient method; however, organic polymer paints are sensitive to ionizing radiation, which is a limiting factor, e.g., for the fabrication of shielding containers or structural parts. The solution presented in this work is the creation of a glassy inorganic layer on top of the depleted uranium surface. Zinc lead phosphate low-melting glass was investigated for this purpose. Glass frit was obtained as an amorphous solid, as confirmed by differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction. The frit was easily ground in liquid media down to sizes suitable for spraying onto the surface of depleted uranium. When the glass powder is sprayed onto the surface of a substrate and fired at 440 °C, a partially crystallized continuous film with a complex morphology is formed, which significantly inhibits corrosion. The coating material shows resistance against high doses of γ-irradiation
