Farm Building Ventilation
This circular is a reply to an ever increasing number of inquiries about the ventilation of farm buildings received by the Extension Division. The plans show how satisfactory homemade ventilating systems can be installed. Complete commercial systems may also be secured today that give good satisfaction
A Servicable Farm Barn
There is a great demand for a plan of a general barn suitable for a South Dakota farm of from a quarter to a half section of land. Not only are old buildings being replaced but a very great number of larger tracts are being divided into separate farms and entire sets of new buildings are being erected. These facts, more than any others, probably account for the large number of requests received by the Extension Division for such a plan. The plan presented in this circular, we believe will best meet this need
Septic Tank for Sewage Disposal on the Farm
The purpose of this little circular is to show the plan for constructing an efficient, and inexpensive septic tank for the disposal of sewage from the farm home. If properly installed this tank will need no attention whatever except the removal of the greater part of the sludge every three or four years. If a larger plan of the tank is desired, it may be obtained in blueprint form for five cents (to cover the cost of the blue print paper) by addressing the Extension Division of the South Dakota State College, Brookings, S. Dak
A Suggested Farm Entrance Sign for Advertising Purposes
With the great increase in the ·number of farmers who are adopting names for their farmsteads there is an accompanying desire for the erection of appropriate sign boards, entrance signs or other devices of advertising value. The accompanying sketch and working plan are intended to show what may be done with ordinary building materials in erecting a sign that has good lines. Farmers who contemplate the putting up of two posts and a straight cross board may find in this suggestion something worthwhile. If the sign is worth erecting at all, why not put up one that is attractive? Many farms quite appropriately make a neat display of the name on the barns. The advantage of this is that the name is legible for a considerable distance. One disadvantage is that the sign wears ragged if not kept repainted with first-class paint. Neither is the barn a suitable place for listing the lines in which the farm specializes. Signs on shingle roofs are especially likely to become advertisements of not the best sort
Pengaruh Technology Acceptance Model Terhadap Pengambilan Keputusan Pembelian Pada Online Shop Grifabell
These days, technology are growing very fast, The use of technology has been widelyused in various sector. For example, in the fashion sector, also using technology asa medium to promote and to market the product. And with the increasing numberof Internet users, are expected to influence people's behavior to make a purchasefrom conventional purchases to e-commerce.To realize a transaction or customerparticipation, it takes trust of each customer. In this study, the population is fromthe respondents who have ever made a purchase of shoes from Grifabell throughsocial media instagram. Data collection techniques used is through a survey using aquestionnaire, and questionnaires collected from a sample of 120 respondents whichhas been distributed through an Google Drive's online questionnaire to Grifabell'scustomers throughout Indonesia. Before the data were analyzed, the authors testedthe validity and reliability of 30 samples using SPSS software. The research method used is multiple regression analysis and simple regression, Ftest, T test and determination coefficient. From these results, it can be concludedthat the indicators of variable technology acceptance model: the perceived qualityof e-shopping and attitude have a positive effect on the variable of trust, andthe indicators from confidence's variables is experience, the quality of work, andintelligence which have a positive effect on the purchase decision variables
Hog Houses for South Dakota
Good housing is essential to successful hog raising. While several sows may do fairly well with their litters around an old strawstack or shack under favorable weather conditions, it will pay in the long run to figure on good housing and care, if the business is to show the best profit. The writer has attempted to put as much helpful material in as little space as possible for anyone planning to build a hoghouse. If changes are made in the plan the details and suggestions should still be of service. It is hard to make changes of any consequence in a plan, however, without running in to some difficulty later on in the proceess of building. If such changs are made it is often better not to try to follow the plan from that point on except as to details. While one object in getting out the bulletin is to save the necessity of blue prints, blue print plans of any of the houses can be supplied at a cost of 10 cents to cover the cost of printing them
Single particle dynamics in liquid metals
Title from PDF of title page (University of Missouri--Columbia, viewed on Feb 17, 2010).The entire thesis text is included in the research.pdf file; the official abstract appears in the short.pdf file; a non-technical public abstract appears in the public.pdf file.Dissertation advisor: Wouter Montfrooij.Vita.Ph. D. University of Missouri--Columbia 2009.Our understanding of the liquid (or molten) state of metals has progressed far within the past decades. Thanks to the advances in both x-ray and neutron scattering sources, it is now possible to measure the dynamics on a microscopic scale with very good statistical accuracy. The dynamics given by a single particle in a liquid metal owe to self-diffusion and cage diffusion. Presented are quasielastic neutron scattering studies of various liquid metals at low momentum transfers. The first part of this thesis is devoted to the investigation of a new (and unpredicted) contribution to the hydrodynamics of liquid metals. We present a literature review of published experiments to verify the presence of this new mode in liquid metals, followed by a possible explanation for its presence in terms of collision-induced magnetism. Next, we present a neutron scattering study at low momentum transfers using liquid gallium to verify the existence of this new contribution. The contribution turns out to be non-magnetic in origin, so another set of neutron scattering experiments is carried out, determining that the contribution should be attributed to multiple scattering processes in liquid gallium (though these same experiments suggest that this contribution is not a multiple scattering effect in liquid lead and mercury). In the last chapters of the thesis we investigate the potential effects of quantum mechanical diffraction effects on the collision between two ions. To carry out the investigation, we solved the collision between two almost classical particles using the partial wave method. We calculate the importance of this diffraction mechanism in liquid metals and present their influence on the neutron scattering cross-section when measuring the collision between two ions, given by an oscillation in the scattering cross-section.Includes bibliographical reference
FTIR Spectrum Interpretation of Lubricants with Treatment of Variation Mileage
Infrared spectroscopy is a widely used technique for the analysis of lubricating oil, lubricating analyzed in this study on Motorcycle. Taking advantage of FTIR spectroscopy (Fourier Transform Infra Red) in the process of identifying the molecular structure of a compound. Samples lubricants used are mineral and Lubricants Synthetic Lubricants. The goal is to see is there a shift in the spectrum of functional groups and intensity of absorption. In the analysis of changes in or degradation of the lubricant in the FTIR spectrum, lubricants mineral or synthetic, assessed based on several parameters lubricants namely, Oxidation (carbon) (1700 cm-1), Nitration (1630 cm-1), Soot (2000 cm-1), Sulfation (1150 cm-1) and water (3400 cm-1). The results showed that based on the analysis of the spectrum for some parameter, synthetic lubricants have the advantage compared to mineral lubricants. Synthetic lubricants have better viscosity stability compared to mineral lubricants, this is because synthetic lubricants generally have better chemical properties / its chemical structure uniform than mineral lubricants. The use of synthetic lubricants have an impact on fuel consumption savings, this is because its viscosity is most stable. Keywords: FTIR spectroscopy; synthetic lubricants; mineral lubricants; viscosit
