    Human Motion Retrieval Using Video or Drawn Sketch

    The importance of motion retrieval is increasing now a days. The majority of existing motion retrieval labor intensive, there has been a recent paradigm move in the animation industry with an increasing use of pre-recorded movement of animating exclusive figures. An essential need to use motion catch data is an efficient method for listing and accessing movements. I n this work, a novel sketching interface for interpreting the problem is provided. This simple strategy allows the user to determine the necessary movement by drawing several movement swings over a attracted personality, which needs less effort and extends the users expressiveness. To support the real-time interface, a specific development of the movements and the hand-drawn question is needed. Here we are implementing the Conjugate Gradient method for retrieving motion from hand drawn sketch and video. It is an optimization and prominent iterative method. It is fast and uses a small amount of storage

    The average potassium intake in the United States population ranges from 90 to 120 mEq/day. About 98% of the total body\u27s potassium is intracellular, and only 2% is present in the extracellular compartment. This distributional proportion is essential for cellular metabolic reactions and maintaining a gradient for resting membrane potential. A loss of this gradient results in hyper- or hypopolarization of the cell membrane, especially in cardiac muscles leading to life-threatening arrhythmias. Multiple mechanisms in human maintain homeostasis. Transient initial changes are due to transcellular shifts activating sodium-potassium ATPase pumps on the cell membrane. The kidneys essentially take part in excess potassium excretion, maintaining total body stores constant within normal range. Gastrointestinal secretion of potassium is insignificant in individuals with normal renal function, however plays an essential role in individuals with compromised renal function. So far, a classic feedback mechanism was thought to maintain potassium homeostasis; however, a recently recognized feedforward mechanism acting independently also helps preserve potassium homeostasis. Hence, potassium homeostasis is vital for humans to function at a normal level

    Exploring Plagiarism Awareness, Motivation, And Intentions Within The Ayurvedic Domain

    As plagiarism is a serious offense, it is critical for researchers to examine their work for plagiarism. Consequently, this study aims to shed light on the issue of plagiarism within the Ayurveda domain, providing valuable insights into the awareness, motivations, and purposes behind plagiarism. This is an empirical study based on the primary data collected from the field of Ayurved domain using a survey approach. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics for hypothesis testing to draw conclusions. Researchers collected data from 194 participants (38% male and 62% female) with an average age 31.19 years (± 0.80) and SD 11.11 years. They included 58.76% of students, 40.72% of teachers, and 0.52% of researchers having education qualifications as 37.63%, 40.72%, and 21.65% for undergraduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG), and Doctoral (Ph.D.) respectively. Formulated four research hypotheses, through their respective sub-hypotheses, are tested for independence using parametric χ2 test of independence at 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). Awareness about plagiarism depends upon educational qualification as well as professional-category of the personnel, It is found to be in increasing order with respect to educational qualification, more in teachers than students. The motivation behind the plagiarism check was also found to be dependent upon educational qualification and professional category. Mandatory-requirement factor increases with an academic qualification and is found to be higher in teachers than students. The researcher further observed that the selection of plagiarism detection software is independent of educational qualification and professional category. It found effectiveness as the primary factor for selection followed by price. By understanding these plagiarism aspects, it is possible to develop strategies to prevent plagiarism and promote ethical research practices in the field of Ayurveda, ultimately preserving the integrity of this traditional system of medicine. &nbsp

    Extraction, purification and characterization of hyaluronic acid from Rooster comb

    Hyaluronic acid, is extract by different procedures from various sources like pig, rabbit, oxes and human are available, but these processes have certain imitations like low yield, and also it requires the killing of these animals which is against the experimental ethics. In the present study, we have carried out the extraction of hyaluronic acid from cock’s comb which was further analyzed with qualitative test, viscosity, UV absorption, endotoxin detection assay. Also, the protein contamination of extracted hyaluronic acid was determined by using SDS-PAGE of hyaluronic acid was studied for checking the protein contaminants and it was noted that there were no bands observed in the well loaded with extracted hyaluronic acid sample indicating that the final extract of hyaluronic acid is not contaminated with the protein. The extraction and purification of hyaluronic acid by using the method reported here give pure hyaluronic acid. The viscosity of extracted hyaluronic acid was found to be 2.55 poise which is economical and can be used for industrial production of hyaluronic acid having clinical application

    Optimization of process variables for phyllanthin extraction from Phyllanthus amarus leaves by supercritical fluid using a Box-Behnken experimental design followed by HPLC identification

    The response surface methodology using the Box-Behnken design was established to describe supercritical carbon dioxide assisted extraction of phyllanthin from Phyllanthus amarus Schum and Thonn leaves prior to HPLC analysis. The effects of extraction pressure, temperature, modifier concentration and extraction time on the yield of phyllanthin were investigated. By solving the regression equation, the optimum conditions were as follows: extraction pressure 23.2 MPa, temperature 40 °C, methanol as modifier at a concentration 10 % and time 90 min. Under these conditions, the phyllanthin yield was 12.83 ± 0.28 mg g-1, which was in good agreement with the predicted values. Modifier concentration and extraction time showed a significant effect on the phyllanthin yield

    Assessment of physico-chemical properties of ground water from different villages of Shirala Taluka, Sangli District (India)

    The unregulated human activities and excessive use of fertilizer, the natural water resources are degraded exponentially. The present study focused on pH, TDS, fluoride and nitrate content in the drinking water of different villages of Shirala Taluka, Sangli District. The water samples were collected from hand pump and used for present investigation. The results obtained are compared with standard of WHO and BIS specifications. The range of physiochemical parameters were observed pH (6.6-9.2), Total Dissolved Solids (130-1960 mg/l), fluoride (0.8-1.9 mg/l) and nitrate (0.77-117.39 mg/l) during present investigation. The result revealed that most of water samples were exceeds limits of WHO (2006). Thus, water quality was found unsatisfactory for drinking purpose without any prior treatment

    Giant Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor Presenting as a Palpable Abdominal Mass: An Unusual Presentation

    Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST-) account for the majority of mesenchymal tumors arising within the gastrointestinal tract. GIST presenting as a palpable abdominal mass is extremely rare. We report four additional cases of a GIST presenting as an abdominal mass along with a pertinent review of the literature. Twenty five cases of GISTs presenting with an abdominal mass, including 4 cases discussed here, have been reported in the world literature since 2001. The mean duration of symptoms was 152.7 days. Twenty one of 25 (84%) patients received surgical resection. The mean tumor size was 17.2 cm, with an average mitotic index of 7.6 per 50 high power fields. Thirteen of 14 (92.9%) patients had a high-risk tumor. Five patients were disease-free at a mean followup of 11 months, 2 patients had stable disease and 2 patients had progressive disease, and one patient had a partial response. In conclusion, symptomatic patents have an increased incidence of high-risk tumors and metastases at presentation. Adjuvant therapy with imatinib improves disease-free survival in patients with large abdominal GIST tumors, but no change in overall survival was noted. Finally, GISTs should be considered in the differential diagnosis of an abdominal mass in an elderly patient
