Towards an analysis of shear suspension flows using radial basis functions
In this paper, radial basis functions are utilised for numerical prediction of the bulk properties of
particulate suspensions under simple shear conditions. The
suspending fluid is Newtonian and the suspended particles are rigid. Results obtained are compared well with those based on finite elements in the literature

Lynn Parker recently retired from Food Research and Action Center, FRAC, after thirty years of dedicated service to improving the nutrition of the nationās children. Developing effective practice learning for tomorrow's social workers
This paper considers some of the changes in social work education in the UK, particularly focusing on practice learning in England. The changes and developments are briefly identified and examined in the context of what we know about practice learning. The paper presents some findings from a small scale qualitative study of key stakeholders involved in practice learning and education in social work and their perceptions of these anticipated changes, which are revisited at implementation. The implications for practice learning are discussed

Human Trafficking Awareness Week to Culminate in NEEDTOBREATHE Concert on April 28
It is estimated that two million children are forced, sold, or abducted into sexual slavery every year. As part of Human Trafficking Awareness week at Gardner-Webb University, recording artists NEEDTOBREATHE will be in concert April 28 at 8 p.m. in Paul Porter Arena with musician Ben Rector scheduled to open the show. Half of the concert ticket proceeds will benefit Project Rescue, an international ministry that rescues women and children from human trafficking and sexual slavery.https://digitalcommons.gardner-webb.edu/gardner-webb-newscenter-archive/2886/thumbnail.jp

Taking stock of neighbourhood planning in England 2011-2016
Neighbourhood planning (NP) as enabled by the 2011 Localism Act in England has precipitated a considerable literature discussing its potential, limitations and likely shortcomings referenced against government rhetoric and the reporting of initial experiences of the process. This paper provides an overview of the current literature on neighbourhood planning and sets out how it has been received and practised across England drawing on empirical evidence.
