    The Relationship of School Characteristics, Society Participation, Schools Climate, and Management Capability with School Effectiveness in the State of Senior High School in Bali Province

    The research aims at finding out the picture of direct and indirect correlation among school characteristics, community participation, school climate, managerial ability and school effectiveness at Public Senior High Schools in Bali Province. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The data were collected using Likert-type questionnaires and analyzed with SEM-AMOS. In general, the research results indicated that there was a significant direct correlation between school characteristics and community participation, school characteristics and school climate, community participation and school climate, school characteristics and managerial ability, community participation and managerial ability, school climate and managerial ability, and managerial ability and school effectiveness; there was an insignificant direct correlation between school climate and school effectiveness, as well as school characteristics and managerial ability through school climate; there was a significant indirect correlation  between community participation and managerial ability through school climate; there was no significant direct correlation between school characteristics and school effectiveness; there was a significant indirect correlation between community participation and school effectiveness; there was no significant indirect correlation between school characteristics and school effectiveness through managerial ability

    Pendidikan aguron-guron dikembangkan atas dua sub model. Model pertama dikembangkan dengan ideologi sakala ‘realis\u27 dengan tujuan Parartha ‘kesejahtraan\u27, yaitu agawe suka nikang rat ‘menjadikan siswa berkarakter dan dapat bekerja untuk kebahagiaan bersama di dunia (baca desa pakraman)\u27. Sedangkan yang kedua adalah ideologi niskala ‘idealis\u27 dengan tujuan paramartha, yaitu matutur ikang atma ri jatinya ‘menjadikan siswa sadar akan jati dirinya, bahwa ia sesungguhnya adalah roh\u27 atau sinar Ilahi. Model pendidikan aguron-guron merupakan kearifan lokal yang menjungjung tinggi nilai-nilai keseimbangan dan harmonisasi. Oleh karena itu terus diperhatikan dan dikembangkan untuk memelihara karakter bangsa, membangun landasan teori pendidikan dan pembelajaran berbasis budaya. Penelitian ini merupakan tahun ke dua, yang bertujuan menghasilkan bahan ajar dan VCD sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran model pendidikan Hindu Bali tradisional aguron-guron serta menguji efektivitas bahan ajar dan media VCD model pendidikan Hindu Bali tradisional aguron-guron tersebut. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Pasraman Seruling Dewata Tabanan dan Pasraman Griya Kekeran Blahbatuh Gianyar. Metode pengumpulan data digunakan wawancara, studi kepustakaan, dokumentasi dan angket penilaian bahan ajar dan VCD. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif teknik prosentase dan kualitatif. Hasil uji ahli dan uji coba pengguna perorangan serta uji coba pengguna kelompok kecil terhadap produk yang dikembangkan berupa bahan ajar dan VCD mencakup materi Ilmu Silat Bali Kuno,Tapak Suci, Tattwa dan Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Agama Hindu menunjukkan sangat layak dan masuk dalam kategori tidak perlu direvis

Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dimana populasi yang digunakan sekaligus menjadi sampel pada penelitian ini, sehingga populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru agama Hindu di SD Negeri se-Kecamatan Kuta Selatan dengan jumlah 40 SD. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner model skala likert lima, dan analisis yang dilakukan dengan teknik analisis statistic deskriptif dan analisis jalur (part analisis)

    Kejahatan di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan setiap tahun. Pelaku kejahatan yang telah ditindak secara hukum ditempatkan di lembaga pemasyarakatan. Di lembaga pemasyarakatan narapidana diberikan pembinaan agar memiliki cukup bekal yang baik kedepannya, salah satunya adalah pembinaan rohani Hindu bagi narapidana Hindu. pembinaan rohani ini bertujuan untuk membentuk kepribadian yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pembinaan rohani Hindu terhadap mental spiritual, kecerdasan emosional, dan konsep diri narapidana di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas II A Kerobokan. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian didapatkan: (1) terdapat pengaruh signifikan pembinaan rohani Hindu terhadap mental spiritual (4,951Ë‚3,125); (2) terdapat pengaruh signifikan pembinaan rohani Hindu terhadap kecerdasan emosional (83,497Ë‚3,125); (3) terdapat pengaruh signifikan pembinaan rohani Hindu terhadap konsep diri (3,913Ë‚3,125); (4) terdapat pengaruh signifikan mental spiritual terhadap kecerdasan emosional (4,831Ë‚3,125); (5) terdapat pengaruh signifikan mental spiritual terhadap konsep diri (8,173Ë‚3,125); (6) terdapat pengaruh signifikan kecerdasan emosional terhadap konsep diri (3,739Ë‚3,125).Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: ada pengaruh pembinaan rohani Hindu terhadap mental spiritual, kecerdasan emosional, dan konsep diri narapidana di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas II A Kerobokan

    Profile of total knee replacement patients and short term outcome in the sanglah public hospital 2018: a case reports

    Total knee replacement (TKR) is considered to be among the most successful type of orthopedic surgery, with 15-year-survival-rate of implant exceeding 95%; furthermore, the improvement in quality of life is very significant. This study aims to describe the demographics, length of hospitalization and short-term outcome observed in patients undergoing TKR at Sanglah Hospital in 2018. All patients undergoing TKR at Sanglah Hospital in 2018 have been prospectively entered into our database. A total of 59 patients were recorded on 2018 for this study and 1 revision TKR patient and 2 patients with incomplete data were excluded. At baseline, 78.6% patients were female, 72.3% were Balinese and 84.1% were housewives. The mean age of patients was 63 years old. Authors also record that 44 (78.6%) patients are Overweight patients (BMI 25.00-29.99 kg/m2), 11 (19.6%) patients are at Obese Class I (30.00-34.99 kg/ m2) range, and only 1 (1.8%) patients have normal weight (18.50-24.99 kg/m2). As many as 51.8% patients had right TKR and 49.2% left TKR. The modus of patient’s length of stay is 7 days with 27 (48.2%) patients started to walk on the 4th day. VAS was recorded at level 4/10 on 92.9% patient. Drain was removed after 3 days on 42 (75%) patients. 15 patients (26.8%) had PRC transfusion due to anemia after operation

    The Effect of the TBLA Method on Strengthening Teacher’s QoP as a Contribution to Student Character Development

    Abstract— This study aims to determine the influence of Transcript Based Lesson Analysis (TBLA) methods on the priority level of the Quality of Pedagogical (QoP) elements in student character development. This type of research is experimental research with a post-test control group design research design. This research sample was elementary school students in Cluster XI of Buleleng Subdistrict who were selected using random sampling techniques. Research data collection instruments are using rubrics. The data analysis method used is bivariate statistical analysis whose data source is obtained from transcript-based lesson analysis. The results showed that 1) the priority level of the teacher's QoP element of 80% was obtained in Pedagogy Content Knowledge; 2) the priority level of the student character behavior element of 72% is obtained in the nationalist and mutual cooperation categories; 3) Methods and insights contribute to the character development of students by 89%.   Keywords—TBLA, QoP, student characte

    Comparison between the results of proximal femur nail anti-rotation and cemented bipolar hemiarthroplasty in treatment of intertrochanteric fractures in Sanglah Hospital in 2016

    Background: Hemiarthroplasty is now being considered as a primary treatment for comminuted unstable type of IT fracture in elderly on the grounds that it allows early mobilization and full weight bearing. Recently popular modality is fourth generation of intramedullary nails like the Proximal Femoral Nails. The goal of treatment is restoring mobility safely and efficiently, while minimizing the risk of medical complications and technical failure.Methods: A Forty patients, having Intertrochanteric fractures treated with PFNA or cemented BH at our institution between April 2016 and April 2017. The primary outcomes measures were postoperative complication and hip function. The secondary outcome measures were intraoperative blood loss, transfusion rate, surgical time, postoperative haemoglobin and hospital stay.Results: Seventeen patients in PFNA group and 23 patients in BH group were included for analysis. There were no significant differences between the two group regarding to the Harris Hip Score at 6 months follow up. Significant differences were found between PFNA and BH group in comparison of intraoperative blood loss (p < 0.001), length of stay (p = 0.006), surgical time (p < 0.001), postoperative transfusion (p < 0.001), and decrease of hemoglobin (p=0.001).Conclusions: These findings indicate that PFNA has obvious advantages over the BH in treatment of intertrochanteric fractures in case of surgical trauma and postoperative complication

    Strengthening Character Education Through Contextual Teaching and Learning Oriented Lesson Study

    Abstract— The purpose of this study is to find out the strengthening of character education through the application of contextual teaching and learning oriented lesson study in elementary school students in Buleleng Regency. The response in this study was determined randomly, with the total of 50 people consisting of 25 students of State Elementary School 1 Panji and 25 students of Elementary Laboratorium Undiksha. This research includes descriptive analytical. Data collection is done using observation methods and questionnaires. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics. Based on the calculation of the average value of strengthening student character education through contextual teaching and learning oriented lesson study obtained religious values of 76% (very often), nationalist values by 78% (very often), independent values by 74% (often), integrity values of 70% (often), and mutual cooperation values by 85% (very often). The results suggest that linking material to daily activities can help students gain better character education.
