    The Importance of Vegetable Processing Automatization Using the Example of Potato Abrasion Peeling

    Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is one of the most important agricultural crops suitable for human consumption. High amount of valueless by-product is produced during the processing of potato peeling. Depending on the type of the abrasive peeling machine the by-product can be 15-40% of the unpeeled raw material. The purpose of the recent paper is to show that the peel losses can be decreased with a modem automation. This research is illustrated by a vegetable processing manufacture still operating

    The human being pollutes the environment knowingly to improve in the quality for himself and for his domestic animals and cultivated plants. Use of modern fertiliser and its technology was part and parcel of the last one hundred years in the agricultural revolution. Quality problems of the environment constitute a violent contest to the individual interests, that’s why the environment scientists have attacked that for years, to use the fertilisers. The aim of this study was to answer for these disputed questions, studying the toxic effect of liquid fertiliser on wild bird reproduction. Birds were treated with blow-pipe per os, one part off eggs were injected through the air cap, another part were treated in bath tub. The birds were examined according to the following view points: time of the decease, production and fertility of the eggs. From eggs I conclude viability of embryos, malformations and I measured the body weight. Finally I can conclude that to use the fertiliser is not a very toxic agricultural method

    A szilva himlő vírus elleni rezisztencia kialakításának lehetősége csonthéjas növényekben = Developing new strategies for plum pox virus resistance in stone fruit trees

    Elkészítettünk egy konstrukciót, mely tartalmazta a karfiol mozaik vírus 35S promóterét, a NOS terminációs szignált, és e két szabályozó régió között a hasznos gént, vagyis a szilva himlő vírus köpenyfehérje génjét és a 3’ nem kódoló régióját inverted repeat formában nem transzlálható módon, köztük pedig egy intron szekvenciát. A kanamicin mentes konstrukcióval való dohány transzformálás után 477 vonalat neveltünk fel, melyből 15 pozitív eredményt adott PCR-rel. Később a 15 egyedből csupán egy tartotta meg transzgénikus tulajdonságát. Transzgénikus növényekkel oltási kísérleteket végeztünk. Az eredmények szerint a transzgénikus rezisztens rész sem alanyként, sem nemesként nem tudta biztosítani a rezisztenciát a nem rezisztens részeknek. Fontos kérdés, hogy ha egy rezisztens növényt más vírus felülfertőz, a növény elveszti-e rezisztenciáját. Az eredmények szerint egy rezisztens növényt, ha más vírus felülfertőz, akkor sem fogja elveszteni az adott vírusra a rezisztenciáját. A szilva transzformációs kísérletekben levélnyelet és sziklevelet transzformáltunk három különböző konstrukcióval, 433 hajtást neveltünk fel. Az első vizsgálatokban 81 volt PCR pozitív. Nagy részüknél a második vizsgálat negatív eredményt adott. Azonosítottunk egy a CP génben deléciós izolátumot, mely nem minden antiszérummal volt kimutatható megfelelő hatékonysággal. A rekombináns izolátumokat vizsgálva azonosítottunk egy második rekombinációs pontot is a P3 génben. | A new gene construct was designed containing the Cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter and NOS termination signal. Between these regions, the construct contained the PPV CP gene in inverted repeat form with an intron spacer sequence. Nearly 500 plants were grown up from transformation with these kanamycin marker free construct. Only 15 were positive by PCR for the transgene, but at the end only one stored the transgenic behaviour, which was resistant against PPV as well. Grafting experiment was done, concluding that the transgenic resistant part could not protect the non transgenic section. We demonstrated that the plant will not lose the transgenic mediated resistance if another virus infection is present using grafting experiments. In plum transformation experiment using petiole and cotyledon 433 shoot were produced. Out of more than 400 plants 81 were transgenic by PCR in he first PCR experiments. The second round most of them were PCR negative. A PPV isolate was identified containing a large deletion in he coat protein gene. This isolate was not detectable every antisera efficiently. Studying recombinant PPV isolates a second recombination point was identified int he P3 gene of the virus

    In addition to fuel consumption and efficiency the expectations in driving comfort of heavy duty vehicles were substantially increased in the last years. The driveline has an essential role in drivability performance of the vehicle. Since it determines the driving efficiency as well, simple, but robust devices were quite widespread in production, but these can usually make driving more difficult to the driver. This means there is a hard trade-off between efficiency and driving comfort. Application of control logics can help to find the balance between simplification of hardware components and their operation. Enhancing the drivability without any inefficient additional assembly leads to higher level of safety since it makes driver´s job easier, and so it can further increase the efficiency of transportation

    Natural deletion is not unique in the coat protein (CP) of recombinant Plum pox virus (PPV) isolates in Hungary

    Three Plum pox virus (PPV) isolates (Soskut1, Godollo2, Szigetcsep1), collected from apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) trees in Hungary in 2008, were characterized in this study by sequence analysis of the RT-PCR amplified 3’ part of the viral genome spanning the 3’ part of the NIb gene the complete CP gene and the 3’UTR [3’NIb–CP–3’UTR] and also by restriction analysis of the PCR products derived from the 3’ part of the P3, the complete 6K1 and the 5’ end of the CI genes [3’P3–6K1–5’CI]. Phylogenetic analysis of the 3’NIb–5’CP region showed that one isolate (Godollo2) could be classified as a member of the PPV-Rec group, while the other two (Soskut1 and Szigetcsep1) belonged to PPV-D isolates. In the case of the recombinant Godollo2 isolate a 33-nucleotide (nt) in frame natural deletion was detected in the 5’ part of the CP gene during the sequence analysis of the cDNA fragment corresponding to the 3’NIb–CP–3’UTR region. Currently we have reported on another Hungarian PPV-Rec isolate (PPV-B1298) collected from plum that also had a shorter CP gene bearing a much larger 135-nt in frame natural deletion at a similar position to that of the Godollo2. The PPV-D type Soskut1 isolate showed an atypical restriction pattern in the 3’P3–6K1–5’CI region using EcoRI and DdeI endonucleases, respectively. Nucleotide sequence analysis of this region indicated that its unusual pattern is as a result of a point mutation affecting the EcoRI restriction site.Keywords: Plum pox virus, PPV, natural CP deletion mutant, EcoRI restriction sit

    Empirical White Noise Processes and the Subjective Probabilistic Approaches

    The paper discusses the identification of the empirical white noise processes generated by deterministic numerical algorithms.The introduced fuzzy-random complementary approach can identify the inner hidden correlational patterns of the empirical white noise process if the process has a real hidden structure of this kind. We have shown how the characteristics of auto-correlated white noise processes change as the order of autocorrelation increases. Although in this paper we rely on random number generators to get approximate white noise processes, in our upcoming research we are planning to turn the focus on physical white noise processes in order to validate our hypothesis

    Investigation of the Effects of Foliar Fertilizers on Industrial Tomatoes

    Our field experiment was made in 2019 in the study garden of the Faculty of Horticulture and Rural Development. The soil of the experiment was slightly calcareous and alkaline sand with a medium humus content. Three different foliar fertilizer treatments were applied on industrial tomato test plant. Ripening accelerating compounds increased tomato yield. Potassium chloride and Sweet treatments increased yield as well. Water soluble dry matter content was also increased slightly after KCI and Ethrel treatments

    A WHO legfrissebb adatai szerint a kolorektális tumorok (CRC) világméretű előfordulási gyakorisága évente meghaladja az 1,4 milliót, Európában a harmadik leggyakrabban előforduló daganattípus, mely minden harmadik, rákkal összefüggő halálesetért felelős. A CRC-ben szenvedő betegek több mint felénél májmetasztázisok (CRLM) alakulnak ki és minden negyedik páciensnél a szinkron májmetasztázisok már a CRC diagnosztizálásának idején jelen vannak, míg körülbelül a betegek 40-50 százalékánál a primer daganat kuratív reszekcióját követően metakrón alakul ki a betegség lefolyása során. Epidemiológiai adatok szerint a kuratív májreszekció után a betegek 50-75 százalékában új vagy recidív májmetasztázis alakul ki, azonban ezen metasztázisoknak csak egyötöde reszekálható
