Impact of Globalization on the Right to Health as an Instance of Human Rights

    Get PDF
Since the advent of globalization, the issue of human rights - especially right to health- and their violation through the process of globalization was discussed. These impotent rights are affected both in positive and negative way by the globalization. Present study scrutinizes these effects and concludes that globalization is functioning as a double edged-sword in this regards

PASSWORD-LESS TRUST BASED ACCESS AUTHORIZATION FOR REMOTE INTERNET-OF-THINGS (IOT) DEVICES

    Get PDF
The industry is moving away from password-based authorizations as they are often difficult to manage and are associated with various risks. Techniques herein solve an important issue with regard to remote Internet of Things (IoT) gateway access by utilizing a password-less trust-based authentication mechanism through which dynamic trust-based authorizations can be provided for devices utilizing a combination of a user trust score and a device risk profile in a unique manner. Such an approach will improve IoT security and will also help to solve an important security issue within the IoT/industrial world

HEAT TRANSFER ENHANCEMENT USING FINS WITH PERFORATION: A REVIEW

    Get PDF
Extended surfaces called as fins a passive technique is used for enhancing heat transfer between surface and surrounding fluid. They find applications not only in electronic equipments but also in important areas like electrical transformers, heat exchanger, chemical processing system etc. As proper heat dissipation results in saving of power and reduces chances of overheating problems, perforation are made on the fins. Perforated fin improves heat transfer rate compared to solid fin by varying the different parameter like shape of perforation, diameter of perforation and number of perforation. This paper focuses on studies which deal with heat transfer enhancement by using perforated fin

Trans-Rectal Optical Tomography Reconstruction Using 3-Dimensional Spatial Prior Extracted From Sparse 2-Dimensional Trans-Rectal Ultrasound Imagery

Accurate prostate segmentation in trans-rectal ultrasound (TRUS) imagery is an important step in different clinical applications, and it is particularly necessary for providing a 3-dimensional spatial prior to guide the image reconstruction of trans-rectal optical tomography for prostate cancer detection. Utilizing the US prior to guide near infrared tomography reconstruction could be performed by direct segmentation of the US image. Therefore, 2-dimensional segmentation of the axial TRUS images are performed extensively, however, 2-dimensional segmentation of the sagittal TRUS images are challenging, due to more complexities in contrast, morphological features and image artifacts, as well as significant inter-subject variations of the prostate shape and size. We develop a routine of segmenting 2-dimensional TRUS images obtained from canine prostate, based on the combination of a Snake's algorithm and selected manual segmentation. The segmentations obtained from a sparse set of axial and sagittal images are aligned to form the 3-dimensional contour of a prostate. The resulted prostate profile is implemented as the spatial prior to constrain image reconstruction of trans-rectal optical tomography. The trans-rectal optical tomography images reconstructed with the prostate profile prior are compared with those reconstructed without any spatial prior by monitoring oxygen saturation (StO2) and total hemoglobin concentration ([HbT]) in lesions of a canine prostate.Electrical Engineerin

Redox-Controlled Signaling in Normal Myeloid Cell Development and Leukemia

The word hematopoiesis is derived from the greek words, haima meaning blood and poiesis meaning to make. Hematopoiesis is a tightly regulated process which ensures production of appropriate amounts of different blood cell types. All blood cell types are derived from pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). The HSCs are capable of self renewal. Committed myeloid progenitor cells are derived from the HSCs. Committed myeloid progenitor cells are able to proliferate and differentiate into mature blood cells like, granulocytes (neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils), lymphocytes, erythrocytes, platelets, macrophages, natural killer cells, dendritic cells and mast cells. During embryogenesis HSCs develop in the aorta-gonadmesonephros (AGM) region. HSCs migrate to the fetal liver which is the main site of hematopoiesis until birth. After birth, the bone marrow takes over as the primary site of hematopoiesis

A Convective Study on Heat Transfer Enhancement from Vertical Plate

    Get PDF
Vertical plates are the useful geometry in many applications Many authors have investigated the natural convection heat transfer from wide vertical flat plate over the past so many years. Among the geometrical variations, rectangular plates are the most commonly encountered fin geometry because of their simple construction, cheap cost and effective cooling capability. In this paper, the experimental investigation of enhancing heat transfer from vertical rectangular and V fins under natural convection condition is performed. It was investigated that partition plates of different shapes attached on vertically heated plate would create suitable fluid motion and in turn they promote the heat transfer rate. The prime objectives of this paper is to measure heat transfer coefficient of vertical fins and V-fins under natural convection. For the same height of the partition plate, V-plates have higher average heat transfer coefficient Ha than vertical partition plate

This paper focues on Performance evaluation of conventional inverters driven PMSM drive using microcontroller. The purpose of this paper is to decrease the ripples in torque of Micro controllers based PMSM drive. The innovative method consists of conventional inverters, switched-mode power supply (SMPS), PMSM motor and Microcontroller. It is used to maximize fundamental component of torque also. The both the results of the suggested Micro controller are compared on the basis of torque and speed and improves that reduces the torque ripple and improve the dynamic response of the system in comparative analysis. This paper organizes introduction, mathematical model of the PMSM, proposed Microcontroller technique, hardware and simulation results and conclusion in different sections
