A análise paramétrica foi realizada utilizando planejamento fatorial e foram obtidas as influências das variáveis estudadas na umidade da partícula a 2,Omda entrada do secadorAbstract: Pneumatic conveying of solid partic1es has been frequently used in chemical industries. The increase in the use in this unit operation requires the knowledge of the dynamic of the gas-solid flow in tubes. The mathematical models of vertical pneumatic conveying found in the literature mostly consider the flow stcady and one dimensional. However, experimental evidence suggest that radial profiles of the basic variables of the flow exists. In this work a model is proposed for vertical pneumatic conveying considering axial and radial profiles for gas and solid velocities, porosity and pressure. The results obtained from this two-dimensional model were compared with the ones from the one dimensional model. The conservation equation for energy and mass of water were written to extend the model to a pneumatic dryer. The results show the axial and radial variations of gas and solid temperatures, gas humidity and particle moisture content along the dryer. A parametric analysis of the simulation was realized involving process and geometric variables using fatorial planning. The results of the parametric analysis show the influence of each variable in the moisture content of the particles at 2,Omat the entrance of the dryerDoutoradoEngenharia de ProcessosDoutor em Engenharia Químic

Comparative Study of Innovation Ecosystems Inducing Success of Startups in The World (Cutting 2000-2017)

Global Innovation Ecosystems are the result of creating drive-driven locations driven by their local entrepreneurial and innovative characteristics. This article aims to bring to light important information from three of the largest successful start-up ecosystems in the world. As a goal, this article aims to draw a comparison between the Startup-inducing global innovation ecosystems. The adopted methodology had a descriptive classification and a qualitative method. The study was made through a chronological cut - 2000 to 2017 - disseminating information about Silicon Valley ecosystems - USA; Tel Aviv - Israel and Beijing China. As a result, it was found that even some actions and activities seen in these ecosystems can be performed, but it is necessary to take into consideration the local characteristics and their abilities for the ecosystem to succeed

Abstract Purpose – This study aims to analyze the correlation between the investments in the Brazilian Space Agency (BSA) and the patenting process. Design/methodology/approach – The methodology used was a statistical analysis through correlation and linear regression between the secondary data of investments made by the federal government, retrieved from the Transparency Portal, in the BSA and the patenting process, taking into consideration the number of invention, utility model and certificate of addition of invention. Findings – After a brief presentation of the emergence of innovation and patent applications with the investments of governments in space agencies, this study presents the analysis of information in different times of investment that showed positive correlation between the two variables adopted. Originality/value – One can point to the value of this study as strategic investments in space agencies to boost the filing of patents in a nation in the most diverse areas

The prospective scenarios technique conducts strategic planning as a futuristic signpost for the management goals of Industry 4.0 in its technological advances, directed towards the development of productive digitalization and creation of value connected to Intellectual Capital as an aggregator of economic value in the organizational process. The objective of this research is to propose a hybrid modality of bibliometrics and the prospective scenario technique for Industry 4.0 associated with Intellectual Capital. In the methodological stages of this study, the insertion of the Bibliometric Laws of Lotka, Bradford, and Zipf and its informative potential stand out, aiming to assist in the decision-making process of strategic planners

From the first Industrial Revolution to Industry 4.0, technological advances have had a great influence on the increase in industrial productivity, highlighting characteristics such as the incorporation of information and productivity gains through the connection between University, Industry and Government, to measure the indices of scientific production and dissemination of knowledge, helping to develop the innovative potential of a nation, a quantitative and statistical technique called bibliometrics is used. In this context, this research proposes to identify the pillars of technological advancement and the indicators of scientific production in Industry 4.0. In order to verify the panorama of the exploration of the theme and to reach the objective of the research, quantitative and descriptive analysis was carried out with bibliometric procedures in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, from which 259 and 280 scientific articles were extracted respectively. The analysed data allowed the identification of pillars of technological advancement of Industry 4.0 and provided indicators of the quantity of articles published between 2013 and 2019, of countries with greater and less research prominence, and of quantitative distribution of publications by University. The results proved to be promising for the development of new research on this theme
