The heaven chicken : the knowledge of the figureiras of Taubate

Artistas populares, que moldam o barro na forma de singelas figuras que, depois de pintadas, compõem o presépio natalino são detentoras de um saber artístico que é transmitido através das gerações há, pelo menos, cem anos. Para entender o contexto no qual essa arte popular se desenvolve foi necessário conhecer a evolução histórica da atividade ceramista na região do Vale do Paraíba Paulista. As pesquisas arqueológicas sobre a região indicam a presença de grupos humanos desde o século XIII. Esses grupos já produziam cerâmica e, possivelmente, são a matriz da atividade ceramista na região, que evoluiu da cerâmica utilitária até a cerâmica decorativa, passando pela cerâmica devocional, que é a base da arte figureira. Com o apoio do método biográfico buscamos, por meio das memórias destas artistas, construir uma história que revele os seus processos de ensino-aprendizagem e expresse as relações de troca de experiências e saberes entre as gerações. Ao explorarmos as lembranças dos processos de aprendizado, pudemos perceber que as Figureiras aprendem dentro das suas relações de proximidade, sejam as familiares, de vizinhança ou de compadrio. Essa experiência de educação não-formal ocorre entre uma artista mais velha e uma criança pertencente ao seu círculo familiar. São diversas as etapas para que o aprendiz possa atingir o status de mestre e para tal ela deve conhecer e dominar todas as fases da confecção da peça de barro, que vai desde a coleta do barro (mesmo que hoje em dia isso já não seja feito), até a pintura das peças, segundo parâmetros tradicionais, com o seu toque pessoal, que implica em uma evolução na apresentação das peçasAbstract: This Essay seeks to understand the processes of transgenerationa transmission of knowledge inside the community of Figureiras of Taubaté. These popular artists, work with the clay shaping it in simple forms that, with colorful paints, make the christmas praesepio and they hold an artistic knowledge that is thought through generations, at least, for a hundred years. To get the context in with this kind of popular art develops was necessary to know the historic evolution of the ceramic artscraft in the Paraíba river Valley. The archeological researches that were done in the region show the human presence since the XIII century. Those groups used to produce ceramic artefacts and, possibily, they are the matrix of the ceramic poduction in the region, that evolved fro the utilitary ceramic to the decorative ceramic, transiting by the devotional ceramic which is the ground for the figureira art. With the aid of the biografic method we look, by the memories of those artists, to build a narrative that reveals the process of learning of this group and that express the exchanges of knowledge betwen tha generations. When we explore their learning process memories we can understand that the Figureiras of Taubaté learn inside the proximity relations, they might be within the families, within the neighbors or by the godfathership. This experience in the non-formal education occurs with afetuos relations betwenn the generations and naturally happens betwen an older artist and a child that belong to the family bonds. Regulation of Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor Stability at the Mouse Neuromuscular Junction.

The effectiveness of synaptic transmission at most mammalian synapses depends largely on the maintenance of a high density of postsynaptic receptors. In a mature synapse, this density is highly dynamic and can be regulated by several factors including synaptic activity, post-translational modifications of receptors, and scaffold proteins. In my thesis work, I focused on the regulation of AChR clustering, which is the hallmark of a neuromuscular junction, a well characterized cholinergic synapse between the motor neuron and the skeletal muscle. Among several pathways, I first focused on the role of alpha-syntrophin (syn), a member of the dystrophin glycoprotein complex (DGC), in the development and modulation of nAChR dynamics of the mouse NMJ. Using syn knock-out mice, I showed that syn is not required for synapse formation, but it is essential for synapse maturation. Particularly, I demonstrated that during the maturation of synapses, the integrity of the postsynaptic apparatus is altered, the turnover rate of AChRs increases significantly, and the number/density of AChRs is impaired. The synaptic alterations observed in this mouse mutant were explained by the loss of tyrosine phosphorylated alpha-dystrobrevin (dbn). Interestingly, when GFP-dbn1 was electroporated into sternomastoid muscles of syn mutant, most of synaptic abnormalities were partially restored. In the second part of my thesis work, I investigated the role of serine/threonine kinases, particularly PKC and PKA on the regulation of nAChR trafficking. We found that PKC accelerates nAChR removal and inhibits recycling at the NMJ, while PKA has the opposite effect. Finally, I begin to address the role of the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway in the adult NMJ, and we show that beta-catenin interacts with the DGC in mature synapses, via rapsyn. LGBTT’S por um outro ponto de vista: a representação da sexualidade e identidade de genêro no animê japonês Sakura Card Captors

Este trabalho tem como foco a análise do animê japonês Sakura Card Captors, que aborda, sutilmente as afetividades no início da adolescência em meio a formação cultural nipônica e a posisbilidade de alterar o ponto de vista sobre a temática LGBTT. Buscamos apresentar o modo como o qual a sociedade ocidental trata a temática LGBTT e como o conteúdo do material do animê foi modificado para exibição nos países ocidentais, principalmente em relação a sua distribuição para o mercado infantil. Inflorescência terminal da bananeira em dois Atlas Linguísticos brasileiros: um estudo comparativo

Trata o presente artigo da diversidade lexical a partir de dados do Atlas Geossociolinguístico  Quilombola do Nordeste do Pará (AGQUINPA) e do Atlas Linguístico do Brasil (ALiB). Trata-se de um estudo comparativo que tomou como base as respostas mapeadas nos dois atlas referidos para a questão 44 do Questionário Semântico-lexical do ALiB. O ALiB registrou respostas obtidas nas capitais brasileiras e considerou dois níveis de ensino: fundamental e superior. Já o AGQUINPA registrou a diversidade lexical em seis comunidades quilombolas localizadas no Nordeste Paraense e considerou apenas o ensino fundamental. Os resultados apresentados nos dois atlas mostram número alto de variantes para a referida questão a depender da região e apresentam diferenças e semelhanças entre a variedade usada nas capitais brasileiras e nas comunidades quilombolas paraenses.

Does early weaning influence weight gain and body composition in adult mice?

OBJETIVO: Avaliar o efeito do desmame precoce sobre o ganho de peso e a composição corporal de camundongos adultos jovens. MÉTODOS: Camundongos Swiss Webster, machos, foram desmamados precocemente (14º dia de vida) ou amamentados até o 21º dia de vida (grupo controle). Após o desmame, os animais foram alimentados com ração elaborada para roedores em crescimento até o 63º dia de vida, quando então foram sacrificados. RESULTADOS: O peso corporal dos animais do grupo desmamado de forma precoce foi significantemente maior no 28º, 35º e no 63º dias de vida em relação ao grupo controle (p<0,05). Porém, o consumo de ração não diferiu entre os grupos. A concentração sérica de proteínas totais, albumina e ferro, bem como a concentração hepática, muscular e cerebral de proteínas, ácido desoxirribonucléico e a relação proteína/ácido ribonucléico, não diferiram significantemente entre os grupos. O grupo desmamado precocemente apresentou maior quantidade absoluta de massa magra, lipídeos, proteínas e cinzas, em comparação ao grupo controle (p<0,05). A quantidade relativa de umidade, lipídeos, massa magra, proteínas e cinzas não diferiu entre os grupos. CONCLUSÃO: O desmame precoce, associado à ingestão de ração elaborada para roedores em crescimento, resultou em aumento do ganho de peso, porém não afetou a composição corporal de camundongos adultos.OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to assess the effect of early weaning on weight gain and body composition of young adult mice. METHODS: Swiss Webster male mice were weaned early, on the 14th day of life, or breastfed until the 21st day of life (control group). After weaning, the animals were fed a chow specifically made for growing rodents up to the 63rd day of life, when they were sacrificed. RESULTS: The body weight of the animals from the early-weaned group was significantly greater on the 28th, 35th, 63rd days of life compared to those from the control group (p<0.05). Nevertheless, no significant difference in the food intake between the groups was observed. The concentration of serum total proteins, albumin and iron, as well as the concentration of protein, DNA and the protein/RNA ratio in the liver, muscle and brain, did not differ between the groups..The early-weaned group showed an increased absolute quantity of lean mass, lipids, protein and ash compared with the control group (p<0.05). The relative quantity of water, lipids, lean mass, protein and ash did not differ between the groups. RELIGIÃO E CRENÇAS NO ATLAS GEOSSOCIOLINGUÍSTICO QUILOMBOLA DO NORDESTE DO PARÁ

ESte trabalho busca descrever e discutir a variação lexical a partir de dados do campo semântico religião e crenças que integra o Atlas Geossociolinguístico Quilombola do Nordeste do Pará (AGQUINPA). Esse atlas descreve e mapeia a variedade linguística do português afro-brasileiro falado nas comunidades remanescentes de quilombos da Mesorregião Nordeste do Pará. O campo semântico escolhido para análise é composto por questões que expressam a dimensão religiosa e as crenças dos informantes entrevistados na pesquisa. Neste estudo apresentaremos e discutiremos os resultados das seguintes cartas: L104 – diabo e L106 – feitiço. O AGQUINPA adotou como ponto de partida para a obtenção dos dados, os pressupostos da Geografia Linguística, método da Dialetologia que instrumentaliza o tratamento e a descrição de dados linguísticos no âmbito sócio-espacial, considerando as dimensões diatópica, diassexual e diageracional. Os resultados apontam diferentes graus de concorrência entre as variantes identificadas, bem como evidenciam a presença de uso de apelidos para referência a formas consideradas tabu. ABSTRACT: this paper describe and discuss the lexical variation based on data from the semantic field religion and beliefs of the Quilombola Geo-sociolinguistic Atlas of Northeastern Pará. This atlas describes and maps the linguistic variety of Afro-Brazilian Portuguese spoken in the remaining quilombo communities in the Northeast Mesoregion of Pará. The semantic field chosen for analysis is composed of questions that express the religious dimension and the beliefs of the interviewed informants in research. In this study we will present and discuss the results of the following maps: L104 - devil and L106 - spell. The atlas adopted as a starting point for obtaining the data, the assumptions of Linguistic Geography, a method of Dialectology that instrumentalizes the treatment and description of linguistic data in the socio-spatial scope, considering the diatopic, diassexual and diagerational dimensions. The results indicate different degrees of competition between the identified variants, as well as showing the use of nicknames to refer to forms considered taboo. KEYWORDS: Religion. Beliefs. A perspectiva freireana na formação continuada de professores de física

Neste artigo analisam-se elementos da perspectiva freireana, sistematizada por meio dos três momentos pedagógicos (3MP), na produção de professores de Física da rede estadual de São Paulo. Tais produções, referentes às temáticas dos 3º e 4º bimestres das três séries do Ensino Médio, foram desenvolvidas em um curso de formação continuada oferecido pela Universidade Federal do ABC em parceria com a Diretoria de Ensino da Região de Santo André. Na pesquisa foram consideradas as propostas de aulas elaboradas pelos professores ao longo dos encontros e suas considerações acerca dos3MP, expressas através de um questionário e de apresentações orais. A Análise Textual Discursiva foi utilizada para estudo do material coletado. Os resultados permitiram identificar alguns indícios de uma releitura da proposta curricular, a partir da vivência com a dinâmica dos 3MP, que podem influenciar as práticas de ensino dos participantes

MAGNETISMO E MATERIAIS MAGNÉTICOS NO ENSINO MÉDIO BASEADO NOS TRÊS MOMENTOS PEDAGÓGICOS

Magnetism and the properties of magnetic materials, as shown to students, is a hidden subject in high school. The lack of time and propaedeutic content reduced the possibility of the teacher becoming an in-depth subject in the classroom. On the other hand, the phenomenon of magnetism is present in the student's daily life and promotes a huge impact due to facing the attraction effects of magnetic objects by magnets.&nbsp; Since the aim of bringing this potential subject and driving the student to question and be interested in physics, it is elaborated a class sequence based on the Freirean methodology known as Three Pedagogical Moments and supported by a magnetic induced simulator and two magnetic experiments whose emphasis is on problematizing the phenomenon. This product was applied to six classes of the third grade of high school belonging to two schools, one private and the other public, located in the city of São Paulo. The application presented good results identified by the qualitative evaluation.O magnetismo e as propriedades dos materiais magnéticos, do modo como é colocado para os alunos, é um assunto marginal no ensino médio. O pouco tempo dado ao assunto e a falta de um uso propedêutico reduz, consideravelmente, a possibilidade do professor aprofundá-lo em sala de aula. Por outro lado, o fenômeno do magnetismo está presente no cotidiano do aluno e provoca um interesse enorme por apresentar um efeito de atração de objetos magnéticos por ímãs. Com o objetivo de trazer esse potencial assunto e poder levar o aluno a questionar e interessar-se por física, é elaborado uma sequência de aula baseada na metodologia freireana dos Três Momentos Pedagógicos e auxiliada por um simulador e dois experimentos cujo destaque está em problematizar o fenômeno do magnetismo. Esse produto foi aplicado em seis turmas da 3a série do Ensino Médio pertencentes a dois colégios, um privado e outro público, da cidade de São Paulo. Testosterone represses ubiquitin ligases atrogin-1 and Murf-1 expression in an androgen-sensitive rat skeletal muscle in vivo

First published November 19, 2009; doi:10.1152/japplphysiol.00490.2009.-Skeletal muscle atrophy induced by denervation and metabolic diseases has been associated with increased ubiquitin ligase expression. in the present study, we evaluate the influence of androgens on muscle ubiquitin ligases atrogin-1/MAFbx/FBXO32 and Murf-1/Trim63 expression and its correlation with maintenance of muscle mass by using the testosterone-dependent fast-twitch levator ani muscle (LA) from normal or castrated adult male Wistar rats. Gene expression was determined by qRT-PCR and/or immunoblotting. Castration induced progressive loss of LA mass (30% of control, 90 days) and an exponential decrease of LA cytoplasm-to-nucleus ratio (nuclear domain; 22% of control after 60 days). Testosterone deprivation induced a 31-fold increase in LA atrogin-1 mRNA and an 18-fold increase in Murf-1 mRNA detected after 2 and 7 days of castration, respectively. Acute (24 h) testosterone administration fully repressed atrogin-1 and Murf-1 mRNA expression to control levels. Atrogin-1 protein was also increased by castration up to 170% after 30 days. Testosterone administration for 7 days restored atrogin-1 protein to control levels. in addition to the well known stimulus of protein synthesis, our results show that testosterone maintains muscle mass by repressing ubiquitin ligases, indicating that inhibition of ubiquitin-proteasome catabolic system is critical for trophic action of androgens in skeletal muscle.
