Test, Control and Monitor System (TCMS) operations plan
The purpose is to provide a clear understanding of the Test, Control and Monitor System (TCMS) operating environment and to describe the method of operations for TCMS. TCMS is a complex and sophisticated checkout system focused on support of the Space Station Freedom Program (SSFP) and related activities. An understanding of the TCMS operating environment is provided and operational responsibilities are defined. NASA and the Payload Ground Operations Contractor (PGOC) will use it as a guide to manage the operation of the TCMS computer systems and associated networks and workstations. All TCMS operational functions are examined. Other plans and detailed operating procedures relating to an individual operational function are referenced within this plan. This plan augments existing Technical Support Management Directives (TSMD's), Standard Practices, and other management documentation which will be followed where applicable

Scalable solid-state quantum processor using subradiant two-atom states
We propose a realization of a scalable, high-performance quantum processor
whose qubits are represented by the ground and subradiant states of effective
dimers formed by pairs of two-level systems coupled by resonant dipole-dipole
interaction. The dimers are implanted in low-temperature solid host material at
controllable nanoscale separations. The two-qubit entanglement either relies on
the coherent excitation exchange between the dimers or is mediated by external

A randomised, controlled, double blind, non-inferiority trial of ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca block vs. spinal morphine for analgesia after primary hip arthroplasty
We performed a single centre, double blind, randomised, controlled, non-inferiority study comparing ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca block with spinal morphine for the primary outcome of 24-h postoperative morphine consumption in patients undergoing primary total hip arthroplasty under spinal anaesthesia with levobupivacaine. One hundred and eight patients were randomly allocated to receive either ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca block with 2 mg.kgâ1 levobupivacaine (fascia iliaca group) or spinal morphine 100 ÎŒg plus a sham ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca block using saline (spinal morphine group). The pre-defined non-inferiority margin was a median difference between the groups of 10 mg in cumulative intravenous morphine use in the first 24 h postoperatively. Patients in the fascia iliaca group received 25 mg more intravenous morphine than patients in the spinal morphine group (95% CI 9.0â30.5 mg, p < 0.001). Ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca block was significantly worse than spinal morphine in the provision of analgesia in the first 24 h after total hip arthroplasty. No increase in side-effects was noted in the spinal morphine group but the study was not powered to investigate all secondary outcomes
Operator Formulation of q-Deformed Dual String Model

amplitude using an infinite set of q-harmonic oscillators. The formalism
attains the crossing symmetry and factorization and allows to express the

Chandra HETGS Multiphase Spectroscopy Of The Young Magnetic O Star Theta(1) Orionis C
We report on four Chandra grating observations of the oblique magnetic rotator theta(1) Ori C (O5.5 V), covering a wide range of viewing angles with respect to the star\u27s 1060 G dipole magnetic field. We employ line-width and centroid analyses to study the dynamics of the X-ray - emitting plasma in the circumstellar environment, as well as line-ratio diagnostics to constrain the spatial location, and global spectral modeling to constrain the temperature distribution and abundances of the very hot plasma. We investigate these diagnostics as a function of viewing angle and analyze them in conjunction with new MHD simulations of the magnetically channeled wind shock mechanism on theta(1) Ori C. This model fits all the data surprisingly well, predicting the temperature, luminosity, and occultation of the X-ray - emitting plasma with rotation phase
Development of a unified tensor calculus for the exceptional Lie algebras
The uniformity of the decomposition law, for a family F of Lie algebras which
includes the exceptional Lie algebras, of the tensor powers ad^n of their
adjoint representations ad is now well-known. This paper uses it to embark on
the development of a unified tensor calculus for the exceptional Lie algebras.
It deals explicitly with all the tensors that arise at the n=2 stage, obtaining
a large body of systematic information about their properties and identities
satisfied by them. Some results at the n=3 level are obtained, including a
simple derivation of the the dimension and Casimir eigenvalue data for all the
constituents of ad^3. This is vital input data for treating the set of all
tensors that enter the picture at the n=3 level, following a path already known
to be viable for a_1. The special way in which the Lie algebra d_4 conforms to
its place in the family F alongside the exceptional Lie algebras is described.Comment: 27 pages, LaTeX 2
7-Li(p,n) Nuclear Data Library for Incident Proton Energies to 150 MeV
We describe evaluation methods that make use of experimental data, and
nuclear model calculations, to develop an ENDF-formatted data library for the
reaction p + Li7 for incident protons with energies up to 150 MeV. The
important 7-Li(p,n_0) and 7-Li(p,n_1) reactions are evaluated from the
experimental data, with their angular distributions represented using Lengendre
polynomial expansions. The decay of the remaining reaction flux is estimated
from GNASH nuclear model calculations. The evaluated ENDF-data are described in
detail, and illustrated in numerous figures. We also illustrate the use of
these data in a representative application by a radiation transport simulation
