Proactive Personality and Organizational Change: Factors Affecting Retention
In today’s borderless world where change is the only constant, organizations need to work on building a workforce, which can not only survive but also thrive in such a volatile environment. Proactive individuals actively create environmental change. The purpose of the present study was to empirically test the mechanism by which proactive personality is related to intent to remain with the organization through three important factors—managerial communication, affective commitment to change and job satisfaction. The results supported the mediating effect of all the three factors. Implications for organizations and future research are discussed
First record of Cavernulina orientalis (Thomson & Simpson, 1909) (Octocorallia: Pennatulacea: Veretillidae) from the Bay coast of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
Benthic fauna from in and around Visakhapatnam has been studied by: Radhakrishna (1964); Sudarsan (1983);
Adiseshasai (1992) and Vijayakumaran (2003). Previous records have mentioned the collection of specimens of the sea
pen genus Cavernularia Valenciennes, 1850 from these waters (Radhakrishna 1964) but species of the closely related (or
perhaps synonymous) genus Cavernulina Kuekenthal & Broch, 1911 have not been identified until now.
Pennatulaceans are quite common in benthic communities from a depth of a few metres to more than 6200 and
thirty-four genera in fourteen families of living pennatulaceans are currently recognised (Williams 2011)
Occurrence of ascidian Molgula sp. from the coastal waters of Visakhapatnam, India
Ascidians referred to as ‘sea squirts’ constitute
a major component of biofouling community in
coastal waters. Knowledge of diversity of ascidians
in the waters around India is very less. Perusal of
literature by Renganathan (1990), Venkat et al.
(1995), Meenakshi and Senthamarai (2004, 2006)
and Meenakshi (2005) indicate that there are about
300 species of ascidians belonging to 10 families
and 38 genera reported so far from Indian waters
comprising both colonial and solitary forms.
Bhavanarayana and Ganapati (1971) studied the
ascidian species among pelagic tunicates from the
inshore waters of Visakhapatnam
Mantis shrimp larvae from the inshore waters of Visakhapatnam, India
Mantis shrimp larvae were collected by a shore seine net operated at Nagamayapalem, Visakhapatnam, India at a depth of
10–12 m during the early hours of 20 March 2008. Larvae were classified into one group and were identified to a single
species of the genus Harpiosquilla. Although mantis shrimp larvae have been found in these waters, there have been no
studies that identify them to the species level

Clathrina clara (Calcarea: Clathrinida: Clathrinidae) as foulers on onshore farmed oysters (Pinctada fucata)
A calcareous sponge species was observed as a fouler in the onshore oyster culture tanks at Visakhapatnam Regional Centre of
Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI). The sponge was collected and preserved for further studies. The
material was deposited in the CMFRI museum. The species was identified as Clathrina clara (family Clathrinidae, order
Clathrinida, subclass Calcinea, class Calcarea). The species is being recorded for the first time from Indian waters
Pilonidal Sinus - A Case Report
Pilonidal sinus is an acquired condition with significant morbidity and patient discomfort. The incidence of the disease is calculated to be 26 per 100,000 people. It has a male predominance with a ratio of 3:1. There are several methods to treat pilonidal sinus, but the recurrence rate is more. This apparently minor condition can present the surgeon with major challenges. Many of the standard surgical procedures are associated with a significant risk both of delayed healing and of recurrent disease. Location of the disease is in the natal cleft with midline positioning of the lesion associated with moisture and abundant hair poses greater threat to effective management. According to Ayurveda it can be correlated to Salyaja Nadi Vrana. Even though the disease is Kricchrasadhya, it is managed through Patana (surgery) followed by Shodhana and Ropana treatment. We report a 38 year old male patient presented with pus discharge from cleft of the buttock. Excision was done followed by diathermy and wound is treated with Jathyadi Taila dressing. Disease healed well with no recurrence in the 4months follow up period
Topological indices of Sierpiński Gasket and Sierpiński Gasket Rhombus graphs
Sierpiński graphs S(n, k) were defined originally in 1997 by Sandi Klavžar and Uroš Milutinović. In this paper atom bond connectivity index, fourth atom bond connectivity indices, geometric arithmetic index, fifth geometric arithmetic indices, augmented Zagreb index and sankruti index of Sierpiński Gasket graphs and Sierpiński Gasket Rhombus graphs are determined. The first author is supported by University Grants Commission, Government of India, for the financial support under the Basic Science Research Fellowship.UGC vide No.F.25 − 1/2014 − 15(BSR)/7 − 349/2012(BSR), January 2015.The Second author is partially supported by the University Grants Commission for financial assistance under No.F.510/12/DRS-II/2018(SAP-I).Publisher's Versio
The Eccentric-distance Sum of Some Graphs
Let be a simple connected graph. Theeccentric-distance sum of is defined as\xi^{ds}(G) =\ds\sum_{\{u,v\}\subseteq V(G)} [e(u)+e(v)] d(u,v), where %\dsis the eccentricity of the vertex in and is thedistance between and . In this paper, we establish formulaeto calculate the eccentric-distance sum for some graphs, namelywheel, star, broom, lollipop, double star, friendship, multi-stargraph and the join of and
