    On the Path Integral Loop Representation of (2+1) Lattice Non-Abelian Theory

    A gauge invariant Hamiltonian representation for SU(2) in terms of a spin network basis is introduced. The vectors of the spin network basis are independent and the electric part of the Hamiltonian is diagonal in this representation. The corresponding path integral for SU(2) lattice gauge theory is expressed as a sum over colored surfaces, i.e. only involving the jpj_p attached to the lattice plaquettes. This surfaces may be interpreted as the world sheets of the spin networks In 2+1 dimensions, this can be accomplished by working in a lattice dual to a tetrahedral lattice constructed on a face centered cubic Bravais lattice. On such a lattice, the integral of gauge variables over boundaries or singular lines -- which now always bound three coloured surfaces -- only contributes when four singular lines intersect at one vertex and can be explicitly computed producing a 6-j or Racah symbol. We performed a strong coupling expansion for the free energy. The convergence of the series expansions is quite different from the series expansions which were performed in ordinary cubic lattices. In the case of ordinary cubic lattices the strong coupling expansions up to the considered truncation number of plaquettes have the great majority of their coefficients positive, while in our case we have almost equal number of contributions with both signs. Finally, it is discused the connection in the naive coupling limit between this action and that of the B-F topological field theory and also with the pure gravity action.Comment: 16 pages, REVTEX, 8 Encapsulated Postscript figures using psfig, minor changes in text and reference

    Interregional migration efficiency in adjusting regional labour markets in Chile

    The objective of the article is to re-review the interregional migration process in Chile according to Aroca & Hewings (2002), using up-dated data of 1992 and 2002 from CENSO of population and housing in a probability model probit. Additionally, analyse the efficiency of the interregional migration process in terms of equalising regional salaries and unemployment rates. The results show that signal labour markets are less important for explaining the probability to migrate related to others regional characteristics and the migration process is inefficient to adjust regional markets.     Continuum spin foam model for 3d gravity

    An example illustrating a continuum spin foam framework is presented. This covariant framework induces the kinematics of canonical loop quantization, and its dynamics is generated by a {\em renormalized} sum over colored polyhedra. Physically the example corresponds to 3d gravity with cosmological constant. Starting from a kinematical structure that accommodates local degrees of freedom and does not involve the choice of any background structure (e. g. triangulation), the dynamics reduces the field theory to have only global degrees of freedom. The result is {\em projectively} equivalent to the Turaev-Viro model.Comment: 12 pages, 3 figure

    Learning fuzzy measures for aggregation in fuzzy rule-based models

    Comunicación presentada al 15th International Conference on Modeling Decisions for Artificial Intelligence, MDAI 2018 (15 - 18 october 2018).Fuzzy measures are used to express background knowledge of the information sources. In fuzzy rule-based models, the rule confidence gives an important information about the final classes and their relevance. This work proposes to use fuzzy measures and integrals to combine rules confidences when making a decision. A Sugeno $$\lambda $$ -measure and a distorted probability have been used in this process. A clinical decision support system (CDSS) has been built by applying this approach to a medical dataset. Then we use our system to estimate the risk of developing diabetic retinopathy.     Synthesis of Fe-Au nanoparticles through phase separation using the gas aggregation technique

    During the last veers different type of magnetic materials have been obtained either alloys or nanopor-ritlcs with severall metalllics shells. These particle exhibt better magnetic properties, are biocompatible and have optical properties due to their shell noble metal layer, this is possible, to synthesize heterostructured nanoparticles with care/shell structure by using sputtering targets consisting of alloys of different materials. In the case of such materials have different surface energies and atomic sizes, there are diffusion processes which lead to the formation of structured nanoparticles with a shell and core having different composition. In this work we will show the results obtained about Fe-Au nanoparticles grown by I he gas aggregation technique, using magnetron sputering sources. Colloids prepared from sputtered deposits of heterostructed nanoparticles exhibit less aggregation when compared to suspensions obtained from pure magnetic materials. Spectrophotometry measurement show the presence of gold at the surface of the nanoparticles. Magnetic properties of such particle are analyzed by VSM.     Treatment of multiple adjacent RT 1 gingival recessions with the modified coronally advanced tunnel (MCAT) technique and a collagen matrix or palatal connective tissue graft: 9-year results of a split-mouth randomized clinical trial.

    OBJECTIVES To evaluate t he long-term outcomes following treatment of RT 1 multiple adjacent gingival recessions (MAGR) using the modified coronally advanced tunnel (MCAT) with either a collagen matrix CM or a connective tissue graft (CTG). MATERIAL AND METHODS Sixteen of the original 22 subjects included in a randomized, controlled split-mouth clinical trial were available for the 9-year follow-up (114 sites). Recessions were randomly treated by means of MCAT + CM (test) or MCAT + CTG (control). Complete root coverage (CRC), mean root coverage (MRC), gingival recession depth (GRD), probing pocket depth (PD), keratinized tissue width (KTW), and thickness (KGT) were compared with baseline values and with the 12-month results. RESULTS After 9 years, CRC was observed in 2 patients, one in each group. At 9 years, MRC was 23.0 ± 44.5% in the test and 39.7 ± 35.1% in the control group (p = 0.179). The MRC reduction compared to 12 months was - 50.1 ± 47.0% and - 48.3 ± 37.7%, respectively. The upper jaw obtained 31.92 ± 43.0% of MRC for the test and 51.1 ± 27.8% for the control group (p = 0.111) compared to the lower jaw with 8.3 ± 46.9% and 20.7 ± 40.3%. KTW and KGT increased for both CM and CTG together from 2.0 ± 0.7 to 3.1 ± 1.0 mm (< 0.0001). There were no statistically significant changes in PD. CONCLUSION The present results indicate that (a) treatment of MAGR using MCAT in conjunction with either CM or CTG is likely to show a relapse over a period of 9 years, and (b) the outcomes obtained in maxillary areas seem to be more stable compared to the mandibular ones. CLINICAL RELEVANCE The mean root coverage at 12 months could not be fully maintained over 9 years. On a long-term basis, the results seem to be less stable in the mandible as compared to maxillary areas
