En la antigua Roma, el vino adquirió una importancia fundamental con implicaciones religiosas y sociales. Existía una gran variedad de vinos y todo un protocolo a la hora de elegirlos y consumirlos. Frente al libre consumo de vino por los hombres, las mujeres lo tenían prohibido, pues eran más proclives a desinhibirse bajo la influencia del alcohol. Pese a ello, las mujeres participaban en las bacanales bebiendo sin control, lo que constituía un atentado contra los “mores maiorum”, siendo prohibidas por el senado romano en el 186 a.C.In ancient Rome, wine adquired a great importance with religious and social implications. Although men could drink wine freely, women had it forbidden because they tended to loose their inhibitions under the influence of alcohol. Knowledge Management Practices and Innovation Outcomes: The Moderating Role of Risk-Taking and Proactiveness

This study, by the application of a linear regression by ordinary least squares (OLS), aimed to explore the relationships between knowledge management practices (KMP) and innovation outcomes (product, process, organizational, and commercial), and how they can be moderated by two dimensions of the entrepreneurial orientation (proactiveness and risk taking). This empirical study used survey data from a sample of 288 Spanish family small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The results revealed a positive effect of all the KMPs studied for at least one of the innovation variables studied. Regarding the moderating effect of proactiveness and risk taking on the KMP-innovation outcomes relationship, proactiveness negatively moderated the relationship between knowledge creation and product/process innovation. Moreover, a positive moderating effect was found for the case of knowledge application and process innovation. With regard to risk taking, the evidence found was mixed, and confirmed for some KMPs and all the innovation measures, with the exception of process innovation. The only positive moderating effect found was for knowledge storage and product innovation, whereas, contrary to expected, a negative moderating effect was found for knowledge creation, transfer, and application practices and commercial, product, and organizational innovations, respectively

Un paso más allá en la planificación docente universitaria: el plan de acción tutorial

The EHEA has touted a global change of university paradigm based on learning and self-academic work of the student, establishing the Tutorial action plan among its central elements. This article is based on the study made with a students’ group, that it has used for analyze needs and aspirations about the tutorships: just like to know uses, results and the vision of the current tutorial process. We add the opinion of a teachers’ group on their work in this field. The teacher needs accurate guidance and tools to perform their new role. The goal is to find a practical, a working guide to action tutorial regenerated, reinvigorated, dusted off, and taken out of old bureaucracy and that is regarded with desire of genuine usefulness.El EEES ha pregonado un cambio global de paradigma universitario basado en el aprendizaje y en el trabajo autónomo del discente, situando entre sus elementos centrales la acción tutorial. El presente trabajo se basa en el estudio realizado con un grupo de alumnos con el que se han analizado necesidades y aspiraciones de cara a las tutorías, su uso, resultados y la visión de la actual acción tutorial. Se añade la mirada de un grupo de profesores sobre su labor en este campo. El profesor precisa guías de orientación y herramientas para realizar su nueva función. El objetivo es encontrar una salida práctica, una guía de trabajo a una acción tutorial regenerada, revalorizada, desempolvada y sacada del baúl de la burocracia y que es mirada con deseo de verdadera utilidad

Communication of public health risk to society: strategic proposed guide

The strategic aim of communication in cases of Public Health crisis is to approximate, as far as possible, the perception of risk by the society and the situation of real risk, in order to reduce the anxiety about the crisis by evidence based information, according to the seriousness of the Public Health alert. The citizen’s perception of risk is a legitimate reality that we must accept and learn to manage better. We present a case study of the Public Health Alert System (PHAS), which aims to ensure the control of Public Health alerts in the Aragon region outside normal working hours. Therefore, along with the activities carried out in the normal working hours, the alerts are attended to 24 hours a day for the entire year. The PHAS is designed to meet all the urgent situations (confirmed or suspected) that may affect the collective health of the population

Estrategias para el éxito de los repositorios institucionales de contenido educativo en las bibliotecas digitales universitarias

Objetivos. Identificar y proponer estrategias para el éxito en la creación de repositorios de contenidos digitales educativos (objetos de aprendizaje y otros materiales didácticos y de apoyo a la docencia) en las universidades, adaptándose a sus especiales características y necesidades en cuanto a la gestión, preservación y ciclo de vida, que los distinguen de los materiales de investigación y exigen un enfoque diferenciado. -- Metodología. Análisis de las principales barreras y retos que se han identificado para la implementación y adopción de repositorios de contenidos educativos en la bibliografía especializada y en los experiencias previas a nivel internacional. Selección de las barreras más comunes e identificación de las estrategias implantadas con buenos resultados en otros repositorios. -- Resultados. Se han seleccionado y propuesto un conjunto de nueve estrategias de éxito, que hacen especial hincapié en las barreras socio-culturales asociadas al intercambio y la reutilización de materiales educativos, pues son las más comunes y difíciles de afrontar. Se entiende por éxito que los repositorios sean adoptados por sus usuarios potenciales: docentes, alumnos y autores de contenido educativo, contribuyendo y reutilizando materiales, y repercutiendo en la mejora de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje. En la mayor parte de las universidades españolas, la atención dedicada a los contenidos educativos en los repositorios institucionales es aún insuficiente o no se adecua a sus especiales características y hábitos de producción y uso. Es necesario un cambio de perspectiva donde las bibliotecas universitarias deben tomar un papel activo de concienciación y promoción de la importancia de este acervo intelectual en formato digital.Objectives. To propose strategies for successful storage of digital educational materials for use at universities. These strategies must be adapted to the characteristics and needs of these materials with regard to their management and preservation and also with regard to their lifespan. These features distinguish teaching materials from research materials and call for a different approach to their management. -- Methodology. An analysis of the main barriers and challenges for the implementation and adoption of storage systems for educational materials, based on the specialist bibliography and on prior experiences at international level. The most common barriers and the strategies successfully implemented in other storage systems are discussed. -- Results. We propose a set of successful new strategies that place special emphasis on overcoming the sociocultural barriers associated with the interchange and the reuse of educational materials. Success is defined as the use of the storage systems by their potential users - teachers, students and writers of educational resources - in order to contribute and reuse materials and to bring about improvements in teaching and learning. At most Spanish universities the attention devoted to educational materials in institutional storage systems is deficient or unsuited to their specific characteristics and their patterns of production and use. We call for a change of perspective in university libraries and urge them to play an active part in heightening awareness of the importance of this intellectual heritage in digital format.Objectius. Identificar i proposar estratègies per a l'èxit en la creació de dipòsits de continguts digitals educatius (objectes d'aprenentatge i d'altres materials didàctics i de suport a la docència) a les universitats, adaptant-se a les seves característiques especials i necessitats quant a la gestió, preservació i cicle de vida, que els distingeixen dels materials de recerca i exigeixen un enfocament diferenciat.
