    Calculating the exhaust ejection system in the ventilation of the painting chamber

    Problem statement: The ventilation system plays a decisive role in the creation of the microclimate in various premises. It is known that the ejection ventilation system is well proven both for high-rise residential and office buildings, and for industrial premises. All paint coatings are corrosive and easily flammable substances. In addition, solvent vapors are explosive. It is therefore desirable to use ejection ventilation system in the design of the ventilation system of paint booths. The ejector is simple in design; it can work in a wide range of parameters of state of steam-air mixtures.Results: The calculation and design of a low-pressure ejector have been performed. An ejection ventilation system has been synthesized using the universal modeling package ChemCad that contains highly developed database to calculate thermophysical properties of various substances and their mixtures.Conclusions: The obtained results can be recommended in the layout of the ventilation gadget of paint booths both new and reconstructed. The Usage of the software allows carrying out multiple calculations, which are indispensable for the solution of optimization problems

    Aims:Β Our aim was to assess lipid peroxidation ― antioxidant protection in menopausal women and men in andropause and to compare these processes in different gender and age groups.Β Materials and methods:74Β women and 37Β men were examined. This study was a prospective, randomized cohort study. Women were divided into perimenopausal group (n=22, mean age 49.03Β±3.13), postmenopausal group (n=15, mean age 54.43Β±4.54) and control (n=37, mean age 34Β±1.2). Men were divided into a group of andropause (n=20, mean age 50.38Β±2.63) and control (n=17, mean age 35.21Β±4.75). Body mass index in the main and control groups was comparable. Questionnaires, clinical examination, assessment of the lipid peroxidation-antioxidant defense system, and the calculation of oxidative stress ratio were conducted to all participants of the study.Β Results:Β In women from the reproductive phase transition to its extinction increases content of compounds with conjugated double bonds by 22% (p0.05) in perimenopause and by 27% (p0.05) in postmenopause, increases content of the ketodienes and coupled trienes by 21% (p0.05) in perimenopause relative to the control group and reduced by 27% (p0.05) in postmenopausal women relative to the group of perimenopause. The antioxidant system in women observed the following changes: decrease in the Ξ±-tocopherol levels in postmenopausal women by 37% relative to control and by 22% (p0.05) to compare perimenopause; reduction of retinol level by 29% (p0.05) in the perimenopause and by 39% (p0.05) in postmenopause relative to control, increasing of the content of GSSG by 18% (p0.05) in postmenopause to compare control. When comparing groups of men statistically significant differences were not found. When comparing the groups according to gender, we revealed in men the increased content of compounds with conjugated double bonds by 38% (p0.05), the GSSG by 13% (p0.05), reduced content of the ketodienes and coupled trienes by 43% (p0,05), Ξ±-tocopherol by 24% (p0.05), SOD activity by 9% (p0.05).Coefficient oxidative stress in perimenopausal women wasΒ 2,5, in postmenopausal ― 3,48, in andropause ― 0,97.Conclusions:Β Expressed lipid peroxidation activity is more physiological in andropause than in menopause. Men in andropause have large functional reserves and adaptive capacity than menopausal women.ОбоснованиС.     The rare observation of Meckel`s diverticulum necrosis which the girl had with the suspicion of fallopian tube torsion

    Meckel`s diverticulum occurs clinically only while development of complications (peptic ulcer with probable hemorrhage and centesis – 43%; bowel obstruction on the background of the bowel obstruction and introsusception - 25,3%; diverticulitis - 14%, urachal fistula – 3,4%) and is relatively rare. Torsion of the appendages of the uterus takes the 5th place in the structure of urgent gynecological pathology and occurs in almost 3% of girls. We introduce our own observation, which presents difficulties in the preoperative diagnostics of these conditions. Girl of 15 years old was hospitalized complaining on pain in the lower abdomen, diarrhea up to 3 times per day. In the blood tests minor inflammatory changes were detected. While ultrasound the parovarian tubular formation up to 7 cm long with signs of infiltrative changes from the right side was revealed, which did not allow to exclude an isolated torsion of the fallopian tube. Diagnostic laparoscopy was performed, and it was detected that the uterus and appendages were without signs of inflammation and of normal sizes. At a distance of 30 sm from the ileocecal angle the phagedenic changed Meckel`s diverticula up to 7 sm long twisted at the base was detected. Laparoscopic removal of the diverticulum and appendectomy were performed. The postoperative period proceeded smoothly, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition on the 6th day. Conclusion: all girls with a clinical picture of the β€œacute abdomen” are advisable to perform diagnostic laparoscopy regardless of the results of laboratory diagnostics and ultrasound. In most cases it is possible to perform the curative stage of laparoscopy without conversion

    We present the status of the Gigaton Volume Detector in Lake Baikal (Baikal-GVD) designed for the detection of high energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin. The telescope consists of functionally independent clusters, sub-arrays of optical modules (OMs), which are connected to shore by individual electro-optical cables. During 2015 the GVD demonstration cluster, comprising 192 OMs, has been successfully operated in Lake Baikal. In 2016 this array was upgraded to baseline configuration of GVD cluster with 288 OMs arranged on eight vertical strings. Thus the instrumented water volume has been increased up to about 5.9 Mtons. The array was commissioned in early April 2016 and takes data since then. We describe the configuration and design of the 2016 array. Preliminary results obtained with data recorded in 2015 are also discussed

    The aim of the work was to investigate the changes in the values of synovial fluid electrolyte composition in patients with degenerative-and-dystrophic involvements of the joints, as well as to study the dynamics of the mean optical density of femoral and tibial epiphyseal bone structures. The samples of synovial fluid have been studied, as well as the x-rays of 37 patients with deforming arthrosis of the knee of idiopathic and posttraumatic etiology. The decrease of ionized calcium value and the increase of total calcium/inorganic phosphate ratio value have been found. The change in the mean optical density of epiphysis shadow has been demonstrated to be depended on the stage of the pathological process. The relationship of the values of bone structure mean optical density and the concentration of synovial fluid electrolytes evidences the involvement of subchondral zone mineral component in the development of joint pathology.     The article considers the complex and interrelated nature of human rights and the need to take this into account in international human rights activities. The main focus is on the practice of the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families that, on basis of the outcomes of the work by the Committee on economic cultural and social rights and in cooperation with the Committee on the Rights of the Child actively promotes the effectiveness of the least ratified main UN human rights treaty.
