Influencia de la redación de la prescripción médica en la administración de medicamentos en horarios diferentes al prescripto

OBJETIVO: Analisar a influência da redação da prescrição médica na administração de medicamentos em horários diferentes do prescrito ocorridas em unidades de clínica médica de cinco hospitais brasileiros. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de estudo descritivo que utilizou dados secundários obtidos de uma pesquisa multicêntrica realizada em 2005. A amostra foi composta por 1084 doses de medicamentos administradas em horários diferentes do prescrito. RESULTADOS: Do total analisado, 96,2% apresentavam siglas e/ou abreviaturas; 7,8% apresentavam o registro do horário de administração incompleto e 4,8% destes registros estavam rasurados. Ainda, faltou o horário e/ou a freqüência de administração em 1,9% das prescrições. CONCLUSÃO: Com a implantação do sistema computadorizado de prescrições, associada à prática da educação permanente será possível minimizar a administração de medicamentos em horários diferentes do prescrito.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the influence of the writing of medical orders on the administration of medications in medical units from five brazilian hospitals. METHODS: This descriptive study used a secondary analysis of data from a multicenter study conducted in 2005. the sample consisted of 1,084 medication orders that had been administered at the wrong schedule time. RESULTS: The great majority of medical orders (96.2%) had acronyms and/or abbreviations, 7.8% of them had incomplete schedules for administration of the medication, and 4.8% had been marked out. in addition, there was no schedule for the administration of the medication in 1.9% of the medical orders. CONCLUSIÓN: Con la implantación del sistema computarizado de prescripciones, asociada a la práctica de la educación permanente será posible minimizar la administración de medicamentos en horarios diferentes al prescripto

E-commerce and web presence: user experience analysis in online shopping applications

El presente trabajo está enfocado en el análisis de la experiencia de usuario de las tres aplicaciones de compra online genérica más descargadas en España; Amazon Shopping, AliExpress Shopping y Miravia. Este análisis comparativo versa sobre dos aspectos principales de la experiencia de usuario: la interfaz de usuario y la usabilidad; con el objetivo de determinar el grado de eficacia, eficiencia y satisfacción que disponen y transmiten al usuario. La metodología empleada ha sido la evaluación y observación de usuarios reales en base a unas tareas preestablecidas. Una vez finalizadas las pruebas se han volcado en el texto los datos y la información obtenida de forma tabulada, con diagramas de flujo y con imágenes de la interfaz de las tres aplicaciones. A partir de ahí comienza el análisis cualitativo y la comparativa entre aplicaciones para llegar a los objetivos establecidos al inicio. La conclusión principal que se arroja en el texto es que las tres poseen un alto grado de eficiencia, eficacia y satisfacción en términos de interfaz de usuario y usabilidad. Sin embargo, el análisis cualitativo revela puntos a mejorar y buenas prácticas que podrían haberse pasado por alto en un análisis puramente cuantitativo o al no comparar diferentes aplicaciones. Aunque la usabilidad es similar entre las tres aplicaciones, se detectaron diferencias en la interfaz de usuario que pueden afectar la experiencia de uso según el tipo de usuario. En el presente texto se destaca también que Amazon Shopping presenta las mayores diferencias al comparar su interfaz con la de sus competidoras Miravia y AliExpress, las cuales son más similares, lo que puede indicar una posible reutilización de información y evaluaciones de usabilidad previas entre estas dos últimas.The following paper is focused on the analysis of the user experience of the three most downloaded generic online shopping applications in Spain; Amazon Shopping, AliExpress Shopping and Miravia. This comparative analysis deals with two main aspects of the user experience: usability and the user interface; with the aim of establishing the degree of effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction that they provide and transmit to the user. The methodology used was the evaluation and observation of real users based on pre established tasks. Once the tests had been completed, the data and information obtained were included in the text in tabular form, with flow charts and images of the interface of the three applications. From there, the qualitative analysis and the comparison between applications begins in order to reach the objectives established at the beginning. The main conclusion drawn in the text is that all three online shopping applications have a high degree of efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction in terms of user interface and usability. However, the qualitative analysis reveals points for improvement and good practices that might have been overlooked in a purely quantitative analysis or by not comparing different applications. Although usability is similar among the three applications, differences were detected in the user interface that may affect the user experience depending on the type of user. This text also highlights that Amazon Shopping presents the biggest differences when looking at its interface and comparing it to its competitors Miravia and AliExpress, which are more similar, which may indicate a possible reuse of information and previous usability evaluations between the latter two.Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresa

Prenatal diagnosis of congenital diaphragmatic hernia not amenable to prenatal or neonatal repair: Brachmann-de Lange syndrome

Brachmann-de Lange syndrome (BDLS) is a variable multiple congenital anomaly syndrome that occasionally includes congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). CDH per se is commonly diagnosed antenatally and has been corrected with increasing success in utero and by neonatal repair with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). In utero repair requires normal karyotype as well as the absence of other lethal anomalies. Postnatal repair in combination with ECMO has resulted in improved neonatal outcome and has been recommended in all cases not having in utero repair. We describe a fetus diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia at 18 weeks of gestation in a woman whose only other pregnancy has been a 16 week abortus diagnosed with Fryns syndrome (FS). FS is a lethal, variable congenital anomaly syndrome that includes CDH, which is thought to contribute to the lethality of the syndrome. In utero repair was considered, but rejected because of the position of the liver and suspected FS. The Patients elected to carry the pregnancy to term. Postnatal repair with ECMO was considered; however, the infant died at several hours of age because of severe pulmonary hypoplasia, being considered ineligible for ECMO. The diagnosis of BDLS was made at autopsy and suggests that the first case may, in fact, have been BDLS. In spite of recent success in the repair of CDH both in et ex utero, CDH in association with BDLS is likely lethal, and women with fetuses diagnosed antenatally with CDH and BDLS should be counseled as such. © 1993 Wiley-Liss, Inc.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/38260/1/1320470717_ftp.pd
