Idealized Compression Ratio for a Screw Briquetting Press

This paper deals with issues in determining the ideal compression ratio for a screw briquetting press. First, the principles of operation and a basic description of the main parts of a screw briquetting press are introduced. The next section describes the pressing space by means of 3D software. The pressing space was created using a Boolean subtract function. The final section of the paper measures the partial volumes of the pressing chamber in CATIA V5 by function of measuring. The measured values are substituted into the formula for the compression ratio, and the resulting evaluations are presented in the diagram in the conclusion of this paper

Proposal of conformity assessment and inspection procedure of a cyllinder flange

Obsahem bakalářské práce je postup tvorby kontrolního plánu pro posouzení shody součásti válcová příruba se specifikací. Součástí práce je výběr z norem vztahujících se k rozebírané problematice a k výkresové dokumentaci součásti. Válcová příruba je zde rozebrána z hlediska funkce a jednoznačnosti kótování na výkrese součásti s ohledem na následnou kontrolu součásti. Případné nedostatky v jednoznačnosti jsou blíže rozebrány a jsou navržena řešení těchto problémů. K práci jsou přiloženy kontrolní plány pro kontrolu součásti přímo ve výrobním procesu a pro kontrolu součásti při vzorkování, které byly vytvořeny s pomocí CAQ softwaru. Výsledky práce byly použity při zlepšování procesu výroby uvedené součásti.This bachelor thesis contains the control plan creation procedure for conformity assessment of a cylinder flange. The thesis includes a selection from standards related to the above-mentioned problems and the drawing documentation of the part. The cylinder flange is analysed in terms of function and unambiguous specification of geometry on the drawing of the part with regard to further part inspection. Any deficiencies in clarity are dealt with in more detail and solutions to these problems are proposed. Control plans for inspection of the part directly in the manufacturing process and for inspection of the part during sampling were created using CAQ software and are attached to the work. The results of the work have been used to improve the process of manufacturing of the part.

Ambient Intelligence

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou inteligentního prostředí. Popisuje jeho základní charakteristiku a požadavky pro jeho realizaci. Pojednává o současném stavu ve vývoji tohoto konceptu a představuje aktuální projekty. Dále se úžeji zaměřuje na téma inteligentních budov. V souvislosti s tím se věnuje tzv. vzorům chování osob v těchto budovách. Pro měření základních vzorů chování lidí jsou diskutovány různé metody a přístupy. Poté se práce zaměřuje na vlastní návrh systému pro počítání osob v kamerovém záznamu, který představuje jeden ze způsobů měření vzorů chování. Na závěr jsou diskutovány možnosti uplatnění takto měřených dat.Diploma thesis deals with Ambient intelligence issue. Represents its basic characteristic and demands for its realization. Describes actual stadium in this concept development and shows some present projects. Next focuses on Intelligent buildings issue. In connection with this addresses to so-called human behaviour patterns. Various methods of human behaviour patterns measurement are discussed there. Thesis then focuses on people counting system design, which is based on camera record. Such system represents way of human behaviour patterns measurement. Lastly, the using of this way obtained data is discussed.

Explosion Cladding of Lead on Steel

This work deals with explosion cladding of lead on steel. The welded materials and the Semtex S type explosive are characterised. The preparation of the welded materials and the proposed welding assembly are described. The welding parameters, the welding conditions and the fabrication of the weld overlays are discussed. The quality of the fabricated bimetals was studied by optical and electron microscopy and by mechanical tests

Nájemní smlouva Tématem diplomové práce je nájemní smlouva. Téma bylo zvoleno s ohledem na svou aktuálnost a také vzhledem k tomu, že nájemní smlouva patří k nejčastějším právním úkonům. Hlavním cílem této práce je rozbor institutu nájemní smlouvy s poukazem na sporné otázky této úpravy, včetně odkazů na judikaturu soudů a poznatků některých autorů. Práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola mapuje historický vývoj právní úpravy nájemní smlouvy, zejména v římském právu, dále úpravy obsažené ve Všeobecném občanském zákoníku z roku 1811 a úpravy zahrnuté v československých občanských zákonících z let 1950 a 1964. Druhá kapitola je základem práce samé. V osmi subkapitolách rozebírá obecnou úpravu nájemní smlouvy. První podkapitola je věnována právním pramenům tohoto institutu, druhá objasňuje pojem nájemní smlouvy. V další podkapitole jsou vymezeny subjekty nájemního vztahu. Následnému rozboru vzniku nájmu a podrobnému výčtu práv a povinností subjektů nájmu včetně jejich rozboru je věnována čtvrtá, resp. pátá podkapitola. Charakteristika nájemného je obsažena v šesté podkapitole. Institut podnájmu je objasněn v sedmé podkapitole. Poslední část je zcela zaměřena na jednotlivé způsoby skončení nájmu. Třetí kapitola pojednává o zvláštních úpravách nájmu v ObčZ a je rozdělena do čtyř podkapitol....Lease contract The theme of this thesis is lease contract. The author has chosen this subject because it is very current and lease contract is also one of the most frequently used legal act. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the institute of lease contract and to highlight some problematic points of this legal regulation. The work is supplemented by judicial decisions of Czech courts and opinions of some authors. This work consists of three chapters. The Chapter one describes historical development of legislation of lease contract, especially in Roman law, legislation contained in General Civil Code of 1811 and the legislation included in the Czechoslovak Civil Code of 1950 and of 1964. The Chapter two is the main part of this work. It is subdivided into eight parts in which are discussed the general provisions of lease contract. First subchapter examines relevant Czech legislation, the second subpart is focused on concept of lease contract. The parties of lease contract are described in the third part. The characteristic of creation of lease contract contains the fourth subchapter and the fifth subpart contains a detailed list of rights and obligations of the lessor and the lessee and their subsequent analysis. Study of implementation of SPC statistical method for control of technological operations

Diplomová práce uvádí postup při zavádění nové metodiky provádění statistické regulace procesu pro obrábění součásti ve zvoleném podniku. Nová metodika je sestavena na základě teoretických poznatků uvedených v první části práce. Výstupem je porovnání výsledků procesu před zavedením a po zavedení nové metodiky zmíněné statistické metody a zhodnocení vlivu této nové metodiky na daný proces. Porovnání je provedeno pomocí testů hypotéz o shodnosti daných statistických veličin a zhodnocením ukazatelů výkonnosti a způsobilosti procesu popisujících jednotlivé soubory dat. Získané poznatky budou využity pro zavádění statistické regulace procesu i na další procesy v rámci výrobního portfolia daného podniku.The master’s thesis contains a procedure of implementation of statistical process control for a machining process in a chosen company. The method is based upon knowledge of this topic which are mentioned in the first part of the thesis. The output is a comparison of general process performance before and after implementation of the above-mentioned statistical method and evaluation of the influence of this new method at the process. The comparison is done using hypothesis testing of specific statistical variables and analysis of process performance and capability of both data sets. The acquired knowledge and experience will be used for implementation of statistical process control for other processes in the company’s production portfolio.

Determinants of Property Insurance Demand in Slovak Republic: Challenges and Obstacles

In the Slovak Republic, non-life insurance consumption is significantlylower compared to Western European countries. The paper tests various personal, demographic and economic factors and their impact on the individual property insurance demand in the Slovak Republic. Using survey data, we identified the following as statistically significant determinants of property insurance demand: gender, age, marital status, propensity to save, level of income, being a head of household. Our results can help insurers to better understand their potential consumers and to improve their acquisition and segmentation techniques. Our findings are important, especially, in times after launching a new tax on non-life insurance premiums, as individuals in Slovakia are very sensitive to the premium and often fail to buy adequate coverage in property insurance

Design Process of Energy Effective Shredding Machines for Biomass Treatment

The shredding process has not been sufficiently investigated for the design of better, energy and material saving shredding machines. In connection with present-day concern about the environment, ecology, energy saving, recycling, and finding new sources of energy, we need to look at the design of shredding machinery, the efficiency of the machines that we using, and ways of improving them to save electric energy for their operation. This paper deals with sizing and designing shredding machines from the point of view of energy consumption and optimization for specific types of processed material

Advanced Rendering in OpenSceneGraph Library

Tato bakalářská práce má za úkol předvést knihovnu OpenSceneGraph a její použití v kombinaci se shadery psanými v OpenGL Shading Language. Práce se nejdříve věnuje právě základům jazyka GLSL. Následující kapitola představí základy práce s knihovnou OpenSceneGraph. Další kapitoly se pak věnují postupně jednotlivým shaderům. Prvně je to vertex displacement mapping, po něm následuje cartooning a posledním shaderem je vodní hladina.This bachelor's thesis presents OpenSceneGraph library and its use with shaders written in OpenGL Shading Language. First of all it presents the basics of GLSL. Next chapter introduces the basics of OpenSceneGraph library. Following chapters are about different shaders. INJECTION MOLDING AND STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS IN METAL TO PLASTIC CONVERSION OF BOLTED FLANGE JOINT BY CAE

Many metal parts in various applications are being replaced by plastic parts. There are several reasons for that depending on actual application - minimize part cost, enhance corrosion resistance, integrating more components into one part etc. Most important steps of metal to plastic conversion are material selection and design of plastic part. Plastic part has to withstand the same load as metal part. To fulfill this requirement fiber reinforced engineering plastics are often used. Also it is convenient to substitute heavy wall sections with ribbed structure to increase load-carrying ability of part and decrease cycle time, eliminate voids, sink marks etc. Mechanical properties of such part could be highly affected by fiber orientation. Results of fiber orientation from injection molding filling analysis can be used in stress analysis for better prediction of part response to mechanical load. Such coupled analysis is performed here in this case study on bolted flange joint
