Terrestrial bitumen analogue of orgueil organic material demonstrates high sensitivity to usual HF-HCl treatment

    Get PDF
The relationship between the chemical composition and the interlayer spacing (d002) of organic materials (OM's) is known for various terrestrial OM's. We improved this general trend by correlation with corresponding trend of natural solid bitumens (asphaltite-kerite-anthraxolite) up to graphite. Using the improved trend we identified bitumen analogs of carbonaceous chondrite OM's residued after HF-HCl treatment. Our laboratory experiment revealed that these analogs and, hence, structure and chemical composition of carbonaceous chondrite OM's are very sensitive to the HF-HCl treatment. So, usual extraction of OM from carbonaceous chondrites may change significantly structural and chemical composition of extracted OM

Discursive-Pragmatic Creativity in English-Language Chinese Mass Media

    Get PDF
The issue of linguistic creativity in Chinese mass media sources published in English is considered. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that the English-language discourse of the Chinese mass media is studied as an independent culturally conditioned speech activity phenomenon that actualizes the cultural values of China and the civilizational values of the East. It is substantiated that linguistic creativity is realized in English texts through various forms of manifestation of Chinese national communicative identity: proverbs, allegories, analogies, hints, allusions, rooted in Chinese history, philosophy and folk experience. The updated concepts of proverbs emphasize the values of constant evolutionary movement on the principle of “movement in the still” and the values of collectivism, which are significant both in the country itself and in the region and the world. The collectivism peculiar to China determined the accentuation of the anti-value concepts of hegemony, shame, slander and humiliation. It has been proved that linguistic creativity in the Chinese media in English is also expressed in wordplay and word creation, if this contributes to a more effective presentation of China's position to the English-speaking audience and does not violate the principle of appropriateness. It has been established that in the Chinese English-language mass media, linguistic creativity is of a discursive-pragmatic nature, allows copying samples of linguistic creativity from English-language media and is supplemented with new associations and meanings in their own cultural context

A new dimethacrylic monomer with biphenylbenzoate-type aromatic core was tested to the possibility to carry out its selective homopolymerization under conditions of thermoinitiated radical polymerization in DMF solution. The kinetics of thermo-induced radical homopolymerization of this monomer as well as some model compounds were studied by dilatometry. The preferring polymerization of O-methacryloyl double bond was proved by 1H NMR spectroscopy

On the peculiarities of experiencing the loss of a spouse by women of different age categories

    Get PDF
The process of experiencing the loss of a spouse is called one of the most difficult life shocks. Often this period is quite long and includes overcoming and processing feelings such as guilt, confusion, fear, and others. Also, grieving for a spouse can cause serious damage to mental and physical health. The mourning associated with the loss of a spouse is a process in which it is possible to identify features, that is, what distinguishes it from other similar emotional shocks (loss of a friend, close relative). The specificity of experiencing the loss of a spouse, in particular, is expressed in the fact that not only the individual characteristics of a woman, but also the social and age characteristics of her personality are of great importance

The Italian experiences of an American writer of the late nineteenth century, William Dean Howells (1837-1920) reflected in travelogues provide researchers of literature the opportunity to study the genesis of his work in the paradigm of the culture of the United States. Accompanying him throughout life, they were the aesthetic basis for literary work of Howells. The influence of Italian works of art and literature can be seen in the choice of the individual style of the writer. Of special interest is the influence of the process of the creative development of American writer on his attitude to changing environment in the capital and the provincial towns of Italy. The topicality of this work is associated with the peculiarities of artistic interpretations of the different cultural environment through the author's perception of reality. The mental concept of "another" life, the recognition of the specificity of the foreign country" often take place in the process of reading the literary works of different genres. In prose of W. D. Howells the perception of the city is connected with the author's point of view on the depicted object, so the leading method in the study was the biographical. This is the first time in the Russian literature of XXI century that the travelogues by W. D. Howells are analyzed, the main motives of the narration are identified, the archetypal images, expressed in literary form, are determined. Fiction affects the formation of the cultural image of the city, the perception of its environment, plunging into the epicenter of the described lives of citizens. The practical significance of the research of the cultural phenomenon of the city is to identify the specific features, forms and techniques creating its image, enclosed in the space-time continuum of the works of W. D. Howells

The changes in the fatty acid composition of the lipid in the brain tissues and geese liver and their embryos from 22-th embryonic day until 14-th day of postnatal period have been investigated. The fatty acid composition of tissues was quantified by methods of gas-liquid chromatography. The index of fatty acids unsaturation was calculated as equivalent concentration of unsaturated fatty acids relative to double bonds. Experience has shown that in the brain of geese high content of unsaturated fatty acids and level of their unsaturation occurs in 22-day-old embryos. From the 22nd to 28th day of embryogenesis the total content of unsaturated fatty acids in the brain tissues of embryos has decreased by 37.3 %, and the level of unsaturation of fatty acids — by 44.4 %. The transition to postnatal development (from the 28th day of embryogenesis to 1 st day of postnatal period) was characterized by a stable content of unsaturated fatty acids in the brain. However, the degree of unsaturation of fatty acids has decreased by 8.0 %. The content of unsaturated fatty acids in the liver of 22-days embryos compared with the brain tissues was higher by 13.9 %, while the level of unsaturation fatty acids in the liver, as compared with the brain was lower by 17.8 %. From the 22nd day of embryogenesis to the 1st day of postnatal development gradual increase in the content of unsaturated fatty acids in the liver was traced, while the level of their unsaturation in this period remained unchanged. A high content of unsaturated fatty acids was found in the liver of 1 day-old goslings, which is 15.8 % higher than the corresponding figure 22 day-old embryos. The first week of postnatal development was characterized by decrease in the content of unsaturated fatty acids in the liver by 25.0 %, and their level of unsaturation — by 21.62 %. The study results showed that one of the mechanisms of prooxidant- antioxidant balance support within the transition from of embryogenesis to postnatal development is to reduce the unsaturation of lipid fatty acids. This mechanism is realized in the brain of geese from hatching eggs of different quality. The support prooxidant-antioxidant balance in the liver by means of reducing the unsaturation of fatty acids is less effective and is mostly defined by fatty acid composition of lipids of geese hatching eggs

The relevance of the problem under study is based on the society’s demand for training students - future professional training teachers ready to solve in a creative manner a wide range of professional and pedagogical tasks, as well as to develop professionally-oriented creative work in the process of training; it is also caused by the insufficient extent of the prior research within the vocational training theory of scientific and methodological mechanisms required for implementing this process. The purpose of the article is to develop a conceptual structural model of professionally-oriented learning and creative activity of the vocational pedagogical university students. Leading method for studying this problem is modelling which allows to consider this problem as the process of goaloriented and deliberate acquiring by future professionals the creative approaches to implementation of professional activity. The article presents a structural model of learning and creative activity of vocational pedagogical university students, justifies the necessity to single out in the structure of the students’ learning and creative activity three interconnected components (creative, professional-pedagogical and personal-acmeological), proves the productivity of activating the learning and creative activity of the vocational pedagogical university students by organizing it as quasi-professional process of searching and solving professional tasks which are subjectively and objectively new, on the basis of using synectics including association methods of activating creative thinking integrated into the its structure. The article can be useful for teachers within the vocational and pedagogical education system, as well as for professionals who develop creative abilities of students based on the heuristic creativity methods. © 2016 Krayukhina et al

Adaptive approach formation using machine vision technology to determine the parameters of enrichment products deposition

    Get PDF
In this paper, an adaptive approach has been developed for automatic initialization of the thickening curve using machine vision technology, which makes it possible to determine with high accuracy the material parameters necessary for the design of thickening and clarification apparatuses. Software has been developed that made it possible to search for the coordinates of the condensation critical point in automatic mode. Studies on two samples of materials (tailings of apatite-containing ores and gold-bearing concentrate) were carried out and made it possible to statistically prove the reproducibility of the results obtained using the parametric criteria of Fisher and Bartlett. It has been established that the deposition curves are approximated with high accuracy by the Weibull model, which, together with the piecewise linear approximation, makes it possible to formalize the method for determining the critical point coordinates. The empirical coefficients of the Weibull model for two samples are found, and the final liquefaction and settling rates of the studied materials are determined
