Soft Color Enhancement of the Production of J/psi's by Neutrinos
We calculate the production of J/psi mesons by neutrino-nucleon collisions in
fixed target experiments. Soft color, often referred to as color evaporation
effects, enhance production cross sections due to the contribution of color
octet states. Though still small, J/\psi production may be observable in

On Forward J/\psi Production at Fermilab Tevatron
The D0 Collaboration has recently reported the measurement of J/\psi
production at low angle. We show here that the inclusion of color octet

Signal and Backgrounds for Leptoquarks at the LHC II: Vector Leptoquarks
We perform a detailed analyses of the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC)
capability to discover first generation vector leptoquarks through their pair
production. We study the leptoquark signals and backgrounds that give rise to
final states containing a pair e+e- and jets. Our results show that the LHC
will be able to discover vector leptoquarks with masses up to 1.3-2.1 TeV
depending on their couplings to fermions and gluons.Comment: 18 pages, 3 figures, REVTe
Identifying the Higgs Boson in Electron--Photon Collisions
We analyze the production and detection of the Higgs boson in the next
generation of linear colliders operating in the mode. In
particular, we study the production mechanism , where one photon is generated via the laser
backscattering mechanism, while the other is radiated via the usual
bremsstrahlung process. We show that this is the most important mechanism for
Higgs boson production in a GeV collider for
M_H\raisebox{-.4ex}{\rlap{\sim}} \raisebox{.4ex}{>}140 GeV. We also study
the signals and backgrounds for detection of the Higgs in the different decay
channels, , , and , and suggest kinematical cuts to

Testing Color Evaporation in Photon-Photon Production of J/Psi at CERN LEP II
The DELPHI Collaboration has recently reported the measurement of J/Psi
production in photon-photon collisions at LEP II. These newly available data
provide an additional proof of the importance of colored c bar{c} pairs for the
production of charmonium because these data can only be explained by
considering resolved photon processes. We show here that the inclusion of color
octet contributions to the J/Psi production in the framework of the color
evaporation model is able to reproduce this data. In particular, the
transverse-momentum distribution of the J/Psi mesons is well described by this

p p -> j j e+/- mu+/- nu nu and j j e+/- mu-/+ nu nu at O(\alpha_{em}^6) and O(\alpha_{em}^4 \alpha_s^2) for the Study of the Quartic Electroweak Gauge Boson Vertex at LHC
We analyze the potential of the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) to study the
structure of quartic vector-boson interactions through the pair production of
electroweak gauge bosons via weak boson fusion q q -> q q W W. In order to
study these couplings we have performed a partonic level calculation of all
processes p p -> j j e+/- mu+/- nu nu and pp -> j j e+/- mu-/+ nu nu at the LHC
using the exact matrix elements at O(\alpha_{em}^6) and O(\alpha_{em}^4
\alpha_s^2) as well as a full simulation of the t tbar plus 0 to 2 jets
backgrounds. A complete calculation of the scattering amplitudes is necessary
not only for a correct description of the process but also to preserve all
correlations between the final state particles which can be used to enhance the
signal. Our analyses indicate that the LHC can improve by more than one order
of magnitude the bounds arising at present from indirect measurements.Comment: 26 pages, 8 figures, revised version with some typos corrected, and

Unitarity constraints on ALP interactions
We derive partial-wave unitarity constraints on gauge-invariant interactions
of an Axion-Like Particle (ALP) up to dimension-6 from all allowed
scattering processes in the limit of large center-of-mass energy. We find that
the strongest bounds stem from scattering amplitudes with one external ALP and
only apply to the coupling to a pair of gauge bosons. Couplings to
and gauge bosons and to fermions are more loosely
