The topicality of using the sensory analysis of berries in enological practice at planning of agrotechnical complex at vineyard to receive the certain style and quality of production was grounded. For study of the influence of agrotechnical methods on sensory characteristics of technical sorts of grape Zagrey and Fragrant, selected by NSC “IVaW named after V.E. Tairov” (Ukraine), there was elaborated the algorithm of research, including field experiment and laboratory sensory analysis. The method of organoleptic analysis of berries, consisted of 20 parameters for assessment of visual, tactile and gustatory properties of pulp, peel and seeds, was approbated. Mathematical processing of experimental data was carried out by the methods of one- and two-factor analysis of variance and analysis of main components in the environment of package of applied programs MS Excell 2010, Statistica Statsoft ver. 7. 0 (Tulsa, USA).The sensory descriptors, characterizing the quality of studied sorts of grape, were determined. It was established, that agrotechnical methods of planting grape bushes influenced the sensory characteristics of berries of studied sorts

The study was aimed to determine the platinum-resistance biomarkers in patients with ovarian cancer. The expression of ABCA1 is higher in platinum-resistant cases of ovarian cancer. The most pronounced relationship exists between the values of survivin expression, local activity of nitric oxide, the expression of glutathione dependent enzymes, the content of catecholamines in erythrocytes, and the expression of ABCA1 transporte

Aim. To assess the state of membranes in nasal epithelial cells obtained from the patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) with the help of the fluorescent probe 2-(2ʹ-ОН-phenyl)-5-phenyl-1,3-oxazole. Methods. The state of membrane phospholipid bilayer in suspensions of nasal epithelial cells isolated from ten patients with CRSwNP was evaluated using the fluorescent probe 2-(2ʹ-ОН-phenyl)-5-phenyl-1,3-oxazole that reacts on the physico-chemical properties of its microenvironment. Changes in fluorescence spectra were determined using a Thermo Scientific Lumina fluorescence spectrometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific) 1 hour after the addition of the probe to nasal epithelial cell suspensions. Results. CRSwNP was found to be associated with a higher rate of nasal epithelial cell membrane hydration in the region of phospholipid glycerol moiety, carbonyl groups and aliphatic chains of fatty acids attached to the carbonyl groups. Conclusion. Our findings suggest that CRSwNP is accompanied by the elevated hydration rate of the most polar region, namely polar heads of phospholipids of nasal epithelial cell membranes

Quantum magnetic oscillations in the absence of closed electron trajectories

Quantum magnetic oscillations in crystals are typically understood in terms of Bohr-Sommerfeld quantisation, the frequency of oscillation is given by the area of a closed electron trajectory. However, since the 1970s, oscillations have been observed with frequencies that do not correspond to closed electron trajectories and this effect has remained not fully understood. Previous theory has focused on explaining the effect using various kinetic mechanisms, however, frequencies without a closed electron orbit have been observed in equilibrium and so a kinetic mechanism cannot be the entire story. In this work we develop a theory which explains these frequencies in equilibrium and can thus be used to understand measurements of both Shubnikov-de Haas and de Haas-van Alphen oscillations. We show, analytically, that these frequencies arise due to multi-electron correlations. We then extend our theory to explain a recent experiment on artificial crystals in GaAs two-dimensional electron gases, which revealed for the first time magnetic oscillations having frequencies that are half of those previously observed. We show that the half-frequencies arise in equilibrium from single-particle dynamics with account of impurities. Our analytic results are reinforced by exact numerics, which we also use clarify prior works on the kinetic regime.Comment: 15 pages, 10 figure

Coulomb Charging Effects in an Open Quantum Dot

Low-temperature transport properties of a lateral quantum dot formed by overlaying finger gates in a clean one-dimensional channel are investigated. Continuous and periodic oscillations superimposed upon ballistic conductance steps are observed, when the conductance G of the dot changes within a wide range 0<G<6e^2/h. Calculations of the electrostatics confirm that the measured periodic conductance oscillations correspond to successive change of the total charge of the dot by ee. By modelling the transport it is shown that the progression of the Coulomb oscillations into the region G>2e^2/h may be due to suppression of inter-1D-subband scattering. Fully transmitted subbands contribute to coherent background of conductance, while sequential tunneling via weakly transmitted subbands leads to Coulomb charging of the dot.Comment: 12 pages, RevTeX, 15 eps figures included, submitted to Phys. This paper deals with the determination of analytical calculation error of magnetic field of high-voltage cable lines in two-point bonded cable shields caused by non-uniformity of the current distribution in the shields. The relative error is determined by comparing numerical calculation of magnetic field obtained in the COMSOL Multiphysics software with the analytical one. It is shown that the maximum value of relative error does not exceed 8 %. The obtained error values are verified by testing the numerical calculation and confirmed by results of experiment. In paper proves the correctness of the analytical calculation of magnetic field of cable lines at the points of its normalization, which is carried out without taking into account the non-uniform current distribution in the cable shields.
