Comparison of Randomized Solutions for Constrained Vehicle Routing Problem
In this short paper, we study the capacity-constrained vehicle routing
problem (CVRP) and its solution by randomized Monte Carlo methods. For solving
CVRP we use some pseudorandom number generators commonly used in practice. We
use linear, multiple-recursive, inversive, and explicit inversive congruential
generators and obtain random numbers from each to provide a route for CVRP.
Then we compare the performance of pseudorandom number generators with respect
to the total time the random route takes. We also constructed an open-source
library github.com/iedmrc/binary-cws-mcs on solving CVRP by Monte-Carlo based
heuristic methods.Comment: 6 pages, 2nd International Conference on Electrical, Communication

Olive Oil Products and Mihrishah Valide Sultan’s Vaqf Olive Groves on Lesbos in the Middle of the 19th Century
Determination of some biological characteristics and population parameters of the blotched picarel (Spicara flexuosa Rafinesque, 1810) distributed in the Eastern Black Sea (Rize - Hopa)
This study was carried out in order to determine some biological characteristics of the
fish species of Spicara flexuosa, which is distributed on the Eastern Black Sea coast, and to
contribute to the management of the picarel in all the seas of our country. Between October
2015 and September 2016, 599 fish samples were obtained and examined in the laboratory.
It was determined that the examined individuals were distributed between the ages of I-VII
which 31.22% of the population was male and 68.78% was female. The minimummaximum total length values of the samples were between 8.7 and 21.8 cm; and the weight
values ranged from 7.1 to 129.94 g. It has been determined that the mean total length of
males is statistically different from that of females (P<0.05). Von Bertalanffy growth
equilibrium was calculated as “L∞=22.71 cm TL, K=0.243 year-1, t0=-2.306 year-1;
W∞=118.27 g” for females, “L∞=38.34 cm TL, K=0.063 year -1, t0 = -6.381 year-1; W∞=755.37
g” for males, and “L∞=33.42 cm TL, K=0.080 year -1, t0=-5.381 year-1; W∞=401.24 g” for all
individuals. The length-weight relation of all individuals was found as W= 0.0118*L2.9727
(R2
=0.9487). When the ratio of gonadosomatic index (GSI) data and gonadal maturity
stages were examined over the year, it was determined that the reproduction of the picarel
in the Black Sea occurred between June and Septembe
Strawberry Cultivation Techniques
Among the berries, strawberries are the most commercially produced and consumed and their production and consumption are increasing in the world due to their enthusiastic aroma, taste, and biochemical properties. Strawberry is belonging to the genus Fragaria, from the family Rosaceae. It is indicated that the homeland of the strawberry is South America (Chile). It is well-known that people living in Asia, Europe, and America commonly use the wild F. vesca. In other regions such as Japan, North China and Manchuria, Europe-Siberia, and America there are different ecogeographic zones where alternative species are clustered. Despite its origins in the Pacific Northwest region of North America, F. ananassa is now grown all over the world. Strawberry is one of the most widespread berry species grown in almost every country including high altitudes of tropical regions, and subtropical and temperate areas. In this chapter, we aimed to offer new perspectives on the future of strawberry cultivation techniques by analyzing recent academic studies on strawberry production
Vascular resection and reconstruction in pancreatic tumors
Objective: We aimed to to present our patients who underwent pancreaticoduodectomy with vascular resection and reconstruction for borderline pancreatic tumor.
Materials and methods: The retrospective study included six patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy with portal vein resection due to locally advanced disease over a 2- year period. Demographic characteristics, symptoms, imaging findings, exploration findings of surgery, types of resections, perioperative complications, postoperative hospital stay were recorded.
Results: The patients were cosisted of 2 females and 4 males. Tumor location was in the head of the pancreas in 4 (66.7%) patients and in the body in 2 (33.3%) patients. Vasculary reconstruction was achieved by end-to-end anastomosis in 2 (33.3%) and primary closure in 4 (66.7%) cases. The hospital stay of the patients was 11 to 35 days. Intraoperative and postoperative blood product transfusion was not required in 3 of the cases. One patient was reoperated on the second postoperative day due to bleeding in the gastroduodenal anostomosis line and the bleeding was controlled. None of the patients developed pancreatic fistula.
Conclusions: In cases of pancreatic cancer with vascular invasion, vascular resection- reconstruction is inevitable to provide a negative surgical margin. Vascular resection and reconstruction can be performed safely similar to standard pancreatic surgery
Isolated subclinical right ventricle systolic dysfunction in patients after liver transplantation
Although hemodynamic alterations in end-stage liver disease (ESLD) and its association with porto-pulmonary hypertension have been well-established, the long-term effects of ESLD on RV systolic function in patients without porto-pulmonary hypertension remain disregarded. Here we aimed to assess the long-term effect of ESLD on RV function and its relationship with the use of NSBBs and clinical, laboratory and imaging parameters in end-stage liver disease. The use of NSBBs is still controversial due to concerns about reduced cardiac contractility and the possibility of increased mortality. Thirty-four liver transplant recipients were included. Demographic characteristics, laboratory and baseline echocardiography measures were obtained. Patients were recalled for transthoracic echocardiographic evaluation after transplantation. Right ventricle dysfunction was identified by having at least one value below the reference levels of RV S', or TAPSE. Isolated subclinical RV dysfunction was observed at 20.6% of the sample population. The present study demonstrates hemodynamic circulation in cirrhosis and increased preload and afterload might have long-term effects on RV function, even the lack of porto-pulmonary hypertension. These findings underline the significance of cardiac function follow-up in cirrhotic patients after transplantation. In this study, patients treated with propranolol seemed to have better RV function and less gastrointestinal bleeding. We speculated that preoperative propranolol treatment might help preserve RV function by providing RAS suppression, improving endothelial function and hyperdynamic circulation seen in ESLD. This potential protective relationship between the use of propranolol and RV function might improve mortality or graft-failure during OLT and after liver transplantation in patients with cirrhosis
Changes in electrocardiographic p wave parameters after cryoballoon ablation and their association with atrial fibrillation recurrence
Background: Changes in P wave parameters after circumferential pulmonary vein isolation (CPVI) have been previously identified. In this study, we aimed to determine the changes in P wave parameters surface electrocardiogram (ECG) after cryoballoon ablation (CBA) for atrial fibrillation (AF) and evaluate their relationship with AF recurrence. Methods: Sixty-one patients (mean age 53 ± 11 years, 50.8% male) with paroxysmal AF who underwent CBA were enrolled. A surface ECG was obtained from all patients immediately before the procedure, and repeated 12 hours after the procedure. P wave amplitude (Pamp), P wave duration (Pwd), and P wave dispersion (Pdis) values in preprocedural and postprocedural ECGs were measured and compared. Recurrence rates of AF in 3, 6, and 9 months following ablation were recorded for all patients. Changes in P wave parameters were compared between patients with and without AF recurrence. Results: Compared to preprocedural measurements, Pamp (from 0.58 ± 0.18 mV at baseline to 0.48 ± 0.17 mV, P 0.05). Conclusion: Pamp, Pwd, and Pdis parameters exhibited significant decrease after CBA compared to preprocedural measurements. Decreased Pamp was shown to be a predictor for good clinical outcomes following CBA
Aorta abdominalis ve dallari: Otopsi olgularında morfometri ve varyasyonları]
Aim: Knowing the morphology of abdominal aorta (AA) and its branches are important as regards to diagnosis and surgical treatment. The aims of this study were to a) make morphometric measurements of AA and its branches, b) to investigate sites of the origins of the branches and their relationships and variations, and c) to compare the results with literature.Method: Ninety-five AA which had been removed in autopsies were measured with caliper morphometrically to determine diameters of branches and distances between branches. Possible variation of the vessels were investigated and photographed.Result: It was found that diameters of celiac trunk (CT), superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) were 6.43±1.59 mm, 7.38±1.67 mm and 3.61±0.72 mm respectively. The distances between CT and aortic bifurcation (AB), CT and SMA, SMA and IMA, IMA and AB were 107.21±11.46 mm, 14.34±2.67 mm, 57.76±8.04 mm, 35.20±7.41 mm respectively. Numerous variations were observed during the study. These variations involved inferior phrenic artery (single trunk arising from CT, 4.2%), renal artery-RA (duplicated right RA 9.5%, duplicated left RA 4.2%, bilaterally duplicated 3.1%, %16.8 total multiple RA), gonadal arteries-GA (single GA, 1%), lumbar arteries-LA (3 pairs of LA 11.5%, 3rd or 4th LA arising as single trunk 3.1%) and median sacral artery (agenesis 2.1%). Conclusion: Knowledge of morphology of AA and its branches is important in regards to the diagnosis, surgical treatment and endovascular interventions of these vessels. We think our study will contribute to the medical education and clinical medicine in our country
