    3D-Self-Assemblage and Self-Organization on Natural Colloidal Microinclusions in Mineral Sediments

    The results of micro- and nanoscale research of fractal structure sediments from mineral water re-ceived by the drop method are given. Qualitative analysis of the underlying physical phenomena, allowed us to establish the conditions of their 3D-fractalization that consider the size of colloidal nanoparticles, its location and height from the drop center : rmin Rmax hmax and rmax Rmin hmin. It is shown that the main contribution to 3D fractalization is due to surface tension forces and the Coulomb force interaction.     Access to and utilisation of GP services among Burmese migrants in London: a cross-sectional descriptive study

    ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: An estimated 10,000 Burmese migrants are currently living in London. No studies have been conducted on their access to health services. Furthermore, most studies on migrants in the United Kingdom (UK) have been conducted at the point of service provision, carrying the risk of selection bias. Our cross-sectional study explored access to and utilisation of General Practice (GP) services by Burmese migrants residing in London. METHODS: We used a mixed-method approach: a quantitative survey using self-administered questionnaires was complemented by qualitative in-depth interviews for developing the questionnaire and triangulating the findings of the survey. Overall, 137 questionnaires were received (a response rate of 57%) and 11 in-depth interviews conducted. The main outcome variables of the study included GP registration, barriers towards registration, GP consultations, barriers towards consultations, and knowledge on entitlements to health care. Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics, association tests, and a multivariate analysis using logistic regression. The qualitative information was analysed using content analysis. RESULTS: The respondents were young, of roughly equal gender (51.5% female), well educated, and had a fair level of knowledge on health services in the UK. Although the GP registration rate was relatively high (80%, 109 out of 136), GP service utilisation during the last episode of illness, at 56.8% (54 out of 95), was low. The statistical analysis showed that age being younger than 35 years, lacking prior overseas experience, having an unstable immigration status, having a shorter duration of stay, and resorting to self-medication were the main barriers hindering Burmese migrants from accessing primary health care services. These findings were corroborated by the in-depth interviews. CONCLUSIONS: Our study found that having formal access to primary health care was not sufficient to ensure GP registration and health care utilisation. Some respondents faced difficulties in registering with GP practices. Many of those who have registered prefer to forego GP services in favour of self-medication, partly due to long waiting times and language barriers.     COVID-19 lockdowns in early 2020 reduced human mobility, providing an opportunity to disentangle its effects on animals from those of landscape modifications. Using GPS data, we compared movements and road avoidance of 2300 terrestrial mammals (43 species) during the lockdowns to the same period in 2019. Individual responses were variable with no change in average movements or road avoidance behavior, likely due to variable lockdown conditions. However, under strict lockdowns 10-day 95th percentile displacements increased by 73%, suggesting increased landscape permeability. Animals' 1-hour 95th percentile displacements declined by 12% and animals were 36% closer to roads in areas of high human footprint, indicating reduced avoidance during lockdowns. Overall, lockdowns rapidly altered some spatial behaviors, highlighting variable but substantial impacts of human mobility on wildlife worldwide.acceptedVersio

A subset of the spatial coordinate datasets is available at Zenodo (35). Certain datasets of spatial coordinates will be available only through requests made to the authors due to conservation and Indigenous sovereignty concerns (see table S1 for more information on data use restrictions and contact information for data requests). These sensitive data will be made available upon request to qualified researchers for research purposes, provided that the data use will not threaten the study populations, such as by distribution or publication of the coordinates or detailed maps. Some datasets, such as those overseen by government agencies, have additional legal restrictions on data sharing, and researchers may need to formally apply for data access.     AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF HUMAN FACTOR IN MYANMAR AVIATION MAINTENANCE

    Human being is intrinsically unreliable due the limitation performance of human physical design, thus occurring unintentional errors in aviation maintenance. Human factor is one of the safety barriers, that studying the interrelation of aviation crews’ behaviors, machines, environment and the production process, which is used in order to prevent accidents or incidents of aircraft. This study is aim to identify the qualification of human factor and to express limitations of human factor in Myanmar Aviation Maintenance in order to be a safety barrier for Myanmar Aviation. A quantitative case study research design, descriptive method and survey with structured questionnaires are used to collect survey data from randomly selected 120 respondents. As per survey results ; Duties, responsibilities and good knowledge level is the strength of Myanmar Aviation Maintenance whilst the overall facilities implementation as per existing regulations is in medium range, also the limitations factors ,based on SHEL (Software, Hardware, Environment, Liveware), are still existing in Myanmar Aviation Maintenance. And monitoring and management programs for human factor are still not in perspicuous and still need to implement in practice more for protection of unintentional errors in aviation maintenance

    Gold nano particles for nanowire growth formed by thin film thermal annealing process

    Nanotechnology has received a lot of interest lately that will directly or indirectly benefit our daily lives. With the use of nanotechnology, researchers and scientists are now able to fabricate materials at a molecular scale. A great deal of effort has been made to fabricate one-dimensional nanostructured materials for their unique dimension and physical properties. In microelectronics, researchers are attracted to the potentials that silicon nanowires and nanowire arrays can provide [1]. The use of nanotechnology enables scientists and researchers to build more powerful and lightweight devices. Nanowires can be synthesized from self-assembled nanoparticles, droplets or clusters of thin film metal film. Therefore, research for metal nano templates for developing semiconductor nanowires is intensely conducted to be able to do mass production of semiconductor nanowires for future integration researches and technology revolution in microelectronic industries. In this project, creating gold nano templates formed by thin film thermal annealing process is researched. The size and uniformity of gold nanoparticles are critical as the size of nanoparticles will determine the size of nanowires grown. The transport, optical and thermoelectric properties of nanowires varies as the size of these varies. Density of gold nanoparticles is also important as it is more cost effective to have highly dense nanowires. Some parameters of gold nano templates forming process can be varied to control the size of gold nanoparticles and they are thermal annealing method, crystal orientation, gold deposition layer thickness, annealing temperature and annealing time. In this project two different thermal annealing processes is used-Furnace and Rapid Thermal Process (RTP). Different crystal orientation – 100 and 111; different thickness – 1nm, 3nm, 5nm, 10nm and 15nm and different annealing temperature – 400°C, 600°C, 800°C and 1000°C are used in the experiments.Bachelor of Engineerin
