    Pengembangan Inventori Kecerdasan Emosional Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Jawa Timur

    Abstract: The understanding of national intelligence is important for students because in early adolescence, junior high school students are in a state of lability in emotional development. However, circumstances in the field show that many counselors have difficulty in helping students obtain proper information about such emotional intelligence due to the absence of adequate instruments. The purpose of this study is to develop an inventory of emotional intelligence. For this reason, the design is development research. The stages of its development, the preparation of the construct of characteristics to be measured, the preparation of the instrument grid, the preparation of statement items (items), the implementation of expert considerations, the analysis of expert consideration results, field trials, analysis of the results of field trials and revisions, the preparation of norms and guidelines for the use of instruments, and the preparation of reports. The population of this study was junior high school students in East Java Province with the research sample being 389 junior high school students taken using the multistage technique of cluster random sampling area. The study produced a set of emotional intelligence inventories of East Java Junior High School students with adequate validity and reliability as well as practical five-scale norms for counselors to use in uncovering the emotional intelligence of junior high school students in East Java. Based on these results, it is hoped that further research will be carried out with evidence of predictive validity and the development of guidelines for the use of emotional intelligence inventories for East Java Junior High School students. Abstrak: Pemahaman kecerdasan nasional penting bagi siswa karena pada usia remaja awal, siswa SMP berada pada kondisi labil dalam perkembangan emosi. Namun, keadaan dilapangan menunjukkan banyak konselor mengalami kesulitan dalam membantu siswa memperoleh informasi yang tepat tentang kecerdasan emosional tersebut karena tidak adanya instrumen yang memadai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan inventori kecerdasan emosional. Untuk itu rancangannya adalah penelitian pengembangan. Tahap-tahap pengembangannya, penyusunan konstruk karakteristik yang hendak diukur, penyusunan kisi-kisi instrumen, penyusunan butir pernyataan (item), pelaksanaan pertimbangan pakar, analisis hasil pertimbangan pakar, uji coba lapangan, analisis hasil uji coba lapangan dan revisi, penyusunan norma dan panduan penggunaan instrumen, dan penyusunan laporan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP di Provinsi Jawa Timur dengan sampel penelitian adalah 389 siswa SMP yang diambil dengan teknik multistages area cluster random sampling. Penelitian menghasilkan seperangkat inventori kecerdasan emosional siswa SMP Jawa Timur dengan validitas dan reliabilitas memadai serta norma skala lima yang praktis untuk digunakan konselor dalam mengungkap kecerdasan emosional siswa SMP di Jawa Timur. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut diharapkan dilakukan penelitian lanjutan dengan bukti validitas prediktif dan pengembangan panduan penggunaan inventori kecerdasan emosional siswa SMP Jawa Timur

    This study aims to determine the functioning of Wastewater Treatment Plant in overcoming sanitation problems in Lauleng. In addition, this study also aims to determine the level of community participation in the Wastewater Treatment Plant program in Lauleng, Bukit Harapan Village, Soreang District, Parepare City, using a descriptive approach. qualitative. The results of the study show that at the socialization meeting stage of decision making in the form of community participation, the community only participates in meetings without contributing ideas to the government, the community only accepts government decisions regarding the construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lauleng. the level of community participation at this stage is fairly low. At the stage of receiving the benefits of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, it has a positive impact on environmental problems in Lauleng. This can be felt by the community through a comparison of the situation before and after the construction of the communal Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lauleng. This stage shows the success of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in carrying out its function as a clean water management technology

    Dalam beberapa waktu belakangan ini, isu Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT) sering dibahas. Isu KDRT tidak hanya dialami beberapa masyarakat di Indonesia, namun di luar negeri pun permasalahan ini juga sering terjadi dan sudah banyak yang harus dilakukan. Beberapa korban KDRT sering merasa dirinya depresi hingga mengalami trauma, bahkan berdampak rendahnya cinta diri dan kepercayaan diri pada para penyintasnya. Sebagai konselor, bukan suatu hal baru untuk membahas permasalahan KDRT karena konselor adalah bagian dari pekerja sosial yang juga berhak ikut serta mereduksi trauma penyintasnya. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen dengan subyek penelitian penyintas trauma KDRT sebanyak 14 orang yang akan diberikan konseling CBT

    Penentu aliran pelaburan portfolio asing di Malaysia: suatu kajian panel ARDL

    Pelaburan portfolio asing memainkan peranan penting sebagai pembekal dana kepada pembangunan ekonomi di sesebuah negara. Walau bagaimanapun, pergerakan modal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh pelbagai faktor yang boleh dikategorikan sebagai faktor penarik dan faktor penolak. Justeru, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara empirikal faktor penentu pelaburan portfolio asing (FPI) di Malaysia. Model penentu pelaburan portfolio adalah berdasarkan kepada pendekatan imbangan portfolio and teori pariti kadar bunga yang dilindungi (covered interest rates parity - CIRP). Antara faktor-faktor yang telah dianggar dalam model penentu pelaburan portfolio adalah kadar bunga asing dan domestik, kadar tukaran asing benar, pendapatan negara asing, pendapatan domestik, dan Indeks Komposit Kuala Lumpur (KLCI). Jangkamasa kajian bermula dari suku pertama tahun 1991 sehingga suku keempat tahun 2012, yang merangkumi pergerakan modal antarabangsa daripada sembilan buah negara pelabur utama. Model penentu pelaburan portfolio asing telah dianggar dengan menggunakan kaedah data panel Pooled Mean Group (PMG) dan Mean Group (MG) yang dicadangkan oleh Pesaran et al. (1999). Hasil kajian mendapati kadar tukaran asing benar, kadar bunga asing dan KLCI sangat mempengaruhi aliran pelaburan portfolio bersih di Malaysia. Oleh itu, dalam usaha untuk menarik FPI di Malaysia, kestabilan dalam kadar bunga domestik, kadar pertukaran asing dan pasaran saham perlulah diberikan perhatian oleh pihak berkuasa untuk meningkatkan daya saing negara dalam menarik pelaburan portfolio antarabangsa

    PREVALENCE OF ACADEMIC STRESS AMONG MEDICAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL STUDENTS

    Prevalence of academic stress among university students has been high across the world. Most studies on such topic have been conducted in limited population, particularly in the students of medical faculty and the publicly secular-based university. The present study was carried out on students at the department of medicine and department of pharmacy, the Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia. This study was aimed to describe the level of academic stress prevalence among the students as well as its difference based on demographics, including department, gender, and previous education backgrounds. This study involved 72 students as participants. The results indicated that the prevalence of academic stress reached 61% in the medical students and 48.4% in the pharmaceutical students. Meanwhile, there were no significant differences in the level of prevalence in terms of department, gender, and educational background (P > .05). Academic stress was experienced by the students of various departments, from the differing previous education background, i.e., the Public Senior High School (Sekolah Menengah Atas), Islamic Senior High School (Madrasah Aliyah), and Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren), both the males and females. A high prevalence of academic stress among students at the Islamic university should draw more attention and call for special intervention from the unit of guidance and counseling service.  Article visualizations

    Efektivitas Konseling Ringkas Berfokus Solusi untuk Meningkatkan Tanggung Jawab Belajar Siswa SMP

    The aim of this research was to increase the learning responsibility of junior high school student that still low through solution focused brief counseling. This research used a quasi-experimental design with a single-subject design. The subject of this research are 6 students of Sumenep junior high school class VIII that selected based networking responsibility of learning\u27s scale. The research instrumen is used in this research are (1) responsibility of learning\u27s scale, observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and (2) material treatment techniques of solution focused brief counseling to increase the learning responsibility of junior high school student. The results of the analysis of non-parametric statistical test data using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Based on the analysis results obtained Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) 0.027 less than 0.05 so it can be concluded that H0 rejected and H1 accepted. Therefore can be interpreted that solution focused brief counseling increase the learning responsibility of junior high school student.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab belajar siswa SMP yang masih rendah melalui pendekatan konseling ringkas berfokus solusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain subjek tunggal (single subject). Subjek penelitian sejumlah 6 orang siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Sumenep yang dipilih berdasarkan penjaringan skala tanggung jawab belajar. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi (1) skala tanggung jawab belajar, pedoman observasi serta pedoman wawancara dan (2) bahan perlakuan teknik konseling ringkas berfokus solusi untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab belajar siswa SMP. Hasil analisis data uji statistik non parametik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0,027 lebih kecil dari 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat diartikan bahwa konseling ringkas berfokus solusi efektif meningkatkan tanggung jawab belajar siswa SMP

Target of this research is to know do there is difference of restructuring cognitive technique and problem based coping to reduce academic stress student. Statistical analysis the used is wilcoxon signed ranks test advised of that restructuring cognitive technique and problem based coping both of the same effective to reduce academic stress student. But after analysed to use mann-whitney u-test obtained by result of that there is difference of restructuring cognitive technique and problem based coping in reduce academic stress student. Abstrak: Di masa remaja, tidak sedikit remaja merasa banyak dihadapkan oleh tuntutan dan perubahan cepat yang menyebabkan mereka mengalami stres akademik. Teknik penanganan untuk mengatasi dan mereduksi stres akademik yang dipilih adalah teknik restrukturisasi kognitif dan problem based coping. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif dan problem based coping untuk menurunkan stres akademik siswa. Analisis statistik nonparametrik yang digunakan adalah wilcoxon signed ranks test menunjukkan bahwa teknik restrukturisasi kognitif dan problem based coping sama-sama efektif untuk menurunkan stres akademik siswa. Namun setelah dianalisis menggunakan mann-whitney u-test diperoleh hasil bahwa ada perbedaan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif dan problem based coping dalam menurunkan stres akademik siswa

    THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MIND-MAPPING STRATEGY TO IMPROVE CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS IN STUDENT CAREER DECISION MAKING.  The disruptive era in industrial revolution 4.0 is vital for students. In this era, students need creative thinking skills, especially in making career decisions. The Mind Mapping strategy is the right choice to train students' creative thinking skills. This creative thinking skills training is intended for students of Malang State High School Laboratory, class XII MIPA, IPS, IBB, and ICP. The expected goal is to increase the creative thinking skills of Malang State University High School Laboratory students in their career decision making. Based on the results of the study showed that creative thinking skills in career decision making before and after being trained with mind-mapping strategies, there was a significant increase. The Wilcoxon test results were Z = 4,644 with a significance of 0,000. That is, there are significant differences in creative thinking skills in student career decision making before and after being trained with mind-mapping strategies

    Development and validation of Indonesian peace of mind scale: The Rasch analysis

    Every society dreams of true peace. To achieve true peace, humans need to start with inner peace. The importance of peace becomes one of the bases for developing a measure of peace for designing peace-building programs. This research answered the need for these measuring tools by developing and validating a peace measuring instrument called the Indonesian peace of mind scale (IPoMS). This instrument consists of seven items in two aspects: the internal state of peacefulness and harmony. This study used Rasch analysis to test the construct validity of IPoMS. The construct validity test involved 202 vocational high school students in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data analysis using Win step software provides information about the quality of respondents and instruments, items that are easy and difficult for respondents to agree on, fit order items, and unidimensionality. The results of the application of Rasch analysis showed that IPoMS is good, precise, and have item conformity with the model. IPoMS is a reliable and valid measuring tool to measure students’ level of peace accurately. This research discussed the implications and recommendations for further research for the implementation of guidance and counseling containing the value of peace as a follow-up to the performance of IPoMS
