The Use of Code Switching in Twitter (a Case Study in English Education Department)

This study explores some important issues, namely the occurrences of code switching types, languages used, and the reasons why the respondents switch their language in communicating in Twitter. The study involved the students of English Education Department who had already signed up as Twitter users as the respondents. In this study, the data were the tweets used by the respondents and the responses of the questionnaires. To identify code switching types in the tweets, Poplack's framework (1980) was applied. Moreover, the theories proposed by Hoffman (1991) and Saville-Troike (1986) were used as the basis of interpretation to investigate the reasons why the respondents switch their language in Twitter. The data (selected tweets and questionnaires) were analyzed by several steps, namely identifying the occurrences of code switching from the tweets, classifying the code switching in the form of tables, quantifying the frequency and the percentage of code switching, and analyzing and discussing the data obtained. The results show that there are three types of code switching, seven language combinations and six reasons of the use of code switching in Twitter. In terms of the type, intra-sentential switching tends to be the most frequent type of code switching (56.67%). In relation to language combinations used in the tweets, Indonesian-English is likely to be the most frequent language combination (73.33%). Moreover, in relation to the reason, real lexical need may be considered as the main reason to switch the language in Twitter (60%)

The research aims to specify the effect of the expansion of e-commerce on the ticket booking business. The method used in this research was descriptive analysis, which was a method that presents a complete picture of the phenomena that occur in the case raised. Besides that, this study identifies the extent of the impact resulting from the development of e-commerce on the ticket booking business, as well as the benefits to be gained from the results of the ticket booking. The results of this study prove that booking tickets online is very efficient and makes it easy in the transaction process. Based on the analysis conducted, the impact of the development of e-commerce on the online ticket booking business has a major effect on the development of e-commerce. Analisis Diagnosis Pasien Kanker Payudara Menggunakan Regresi Logistik dan Support Vector Machine (SVM) Berdasarkan Hasil Mamografi Fourina Ayu Novianti dan Santi Wulan Purnami

Kanker payudara merupakan jenis kanker yang sering ditemukan oleh kebanyakan wanita. Di Indonesia Kanker payudara menempati urutan pertama pada pasien rawat inap di seluruh rumah sakit. Diagnosis dini pada payudara merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meminimumkan kanker Malignant (ganas) yaitu dengan cara melakukan pemeriksaan mamografi. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengklasifikasian diagnosis keadaan pasien kanker payudara benign (jinak) dan Malignant (ganas) berdasarkan hasil mamografi dan melakukan analisis faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kanker payudara menggunakan metode regresi logistik dan support vector machine (SVM). Pengklasifikasian menggunakan regresi logistik biner menghasilkan ketepatan klasifikasi sebesar 88,72% dimana terdapat dua faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kanker payudara Malignant yaitu intermediate findings dan BIRADS. Sedangkan dengan menggunakan seleksi variabel L1-Norm SVM, semua variabel prediktor yang digunakan berpengaruh terhadap kanker payudara Malignant dengan kontribusi terbesar adalah intermediate findings, kemudian BIRADS, suspicious for Malignancy, letak abnormal, dan usia dengan ketepatan klasifikasi sebesar 94,34%

Hubungan Tingkat Pendidikan Guru dengan Komunikasi Efektif dalam Pembelajaran Tk Se Kecamatan Marpoyan Damai Kota Pekanbaru

This study aims 1) To determine the level of teacher education in kindergarten Se District of Marpoyan Peace Pekanbaru. 2) To determine the effective communication in learning in kindergarten Se District of Marpoyan Peace Pekanbaru. 3) To determine the level of teacher education relationship with effective communication in learning in kindergarten Se District of Marpoyan Peace Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is the correlation method. The population of this study was 284 teachers in kindergarten Se District of Marpoyan Peace Pekanbaru City came from 39 TK. The sampling is random sampling Sample is taking members of the sample taken randomly without regard to strata that exist in this population. Based on the formula, the sample in this study were as many as 74 teachers. The data collection techniques used are questionnaire (questionnaire). Data were analyzed by using quantitative research and data analysis techniques using techniques konferensial. The study hypothesis was sifnifikan There is a positive relationship between level of education and teachers with effective communication in learning in kindergarten Se District of Marpoyan Peace Pekanbaru. Based on the research results, we can conclude there is no significant correlation with the level of teacher education in learning effective communication in kindergarten Se District of Marpoyan Peace Pekanbaru City Riau province with a contribution amounting to 0.3522 relationship. That is, the education of teachers with the ability to communicate have a low correlation in the delivery of learning in kindergarten

Analisis Pelaksanaan Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Paud Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau Tahun Akademik 2014/2015

. The aim of this research is to know the implementation of Field Experience Program (PPL) of early childhood education study program faculty of teacher training and education Riau university academic year 2014/2015. The subject of this research is the students of early childhood education study program faculty of teacher training and education Riau university academic year 2014/2015consisting of 42 Students. In accordance with qualitative research approach then in this research data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is qualitative analysis according to Miles and Huberman (Sugiono, 2011) has 3 stages namely 1) data reduction, 2) presentation of data, 3) draw conclusions and verification. In this study, researchers seek an extension of participation and keajegan to gain confidence and establish intimacy with the speakers. Researchers also use triangulation method by digging information using different methods, namely matching the data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of field experience program (PPL) students study program of teachers PAUD FKIP University of Riau in doing done gradually starting from observation, teaching exercises, to making reports PPL results. Implementation of PPL is guided by teachers pamong, lecturers PPL supervisor and head of the school where the PPL. Overall the implementation of PPL runs smoothly although there are some activities both at the observation stage, teaching exercises and at the reporting stage that is not in accordance with the guidance of PPL FKIP University of Riau implementation related to PPL students, teachers, lecturers and PPL from PPL schools
