    The objective of this study is to determine the factors which could determine the partners UMKM join in a program of technical assistance to Bank Indonesia. The object of this Study is that this Study takes the object of the UMKM in the whole city and regency in the Province of North Sulawesi recorded in the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia North Sulawesi Province. The population in this study is 50 (fifty) SMES assisted Bank Indonesia. As for the sampling method in this research used population studies or the census study where all members of the population sampled. Thus the sample in this study is 32 (thirty two) SMES assisted Bank Indonesia.     Self-rated health, work characteristics and health related behaviours among nurses in Greece: a cross sectional study

    BACKGROUND: Previous studies on self-rated health among nurses have indicated an association of low job satisfaction and stress in relation to poor self-rated health. The relationship between self rated health and the specific work characteristics and health related behaviours of nurses to our knowledge have not been adequately studied. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the health profile of nurses working in hospitals in North West Greece and to examine the associations between self rated health (SRH) and health related behaviours and work characteristics in this group of hospital employees. METHODS: A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to a random sample of 443 nurses working in all the hospitals in North West Greece. Regression analysis was used to examine the relationship of health related behaviours and work characteristics with self rated health among the nurses. RESULTS: A total of 353 responded to the questionnaire (response rate 80%) of which 311 (88%) were female and 42 (12%) male. The mean age (standard deviation) of the respondents was 36 years (5.6) and their mean years of working as nurses were 13.5 years (5.9). Almost half of the nurses' smoked, and about one third were overweight or obese. About 58% (206) of the nurses reported having poor health while 42% (147) reported having good health. Self-rated health was independently associated with gender, effort to avoid fatty foods and physical activity, according to multiple logistic regression analysis. CONCLUSION: The population studied presented a relatively poor health profile, and a high proportion of poor SRH. Though female gender and effort to avoid fatty foods were associated with poor SRH, and exercise and white meat consumption with good SRH, specific work characteristics were not associated with SRH

    Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kewenangan penyidik Polri dalam tindak pidana pencucian uang dan bagaimana kendala-kendala dalam penyidikan tindak pidana pencucian uang. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian yuridis normatif, maka dapat disimpulkan: 1. Kewenangan penyidikan terhadap TPPU tidak diatur secara khusus dan tegas dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 2010, namun mengacu pada Undang-undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1981 tentang Hukum Acara Pidana Pasal 1, Pasal 6, dan Pasal 7 yang berwenang melakukan penyidikan TPPU adalah penyidik Polri. Penyidik Polri dapat melakukan penyidikan semua tindak pidana. Hal ini ditegaskan kembali dengan Pasal 1 angka 8,9, dan Pasal 14 ayat (1) huruf g Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2002 tentang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia. Adapun dalam Pasal 74 Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 2010 tentang Pencegahan dan Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Pencucian Uang memberikan kewenangan penyidikan pada penyidik tindak pidana asal. Jadi apabila penyidik tindak pidana asal menemukan indikasi TPPU, maka penyidik tindak pidana asal dapat menyampaikan kepada penyidik Polri untuk menindaklanjutinya. 2. Kendala yang dihadapi kepolisian dalam penegakan hukum terhadap Tindak Pidana Pencucian Uang masih terdapat kendala diantaranya terdapat kendala-kendala yaitu Tumpang Tindihnya Kewenangan Penyidikan Tindak Pidana Pencucian Uang, Transaksi Keuangan Dilakukan Menggunakan Uang Tunai, Ketentuan Tentang Rahasia Bank, Kurangnya Pemahaman Tindak Pidana Pencucian Uang Oleh Masyarakat Yang Diatur Dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 2010, Kurangnya Sarana, Prasarana dan Anggaran Untuk Keperluan Penyidik Dalam Pemeriksaan Tindak Pidana Pencucian Uang. Dan hal-hal lain yang menjadi kendala, khususnya untuk memperoleh alat bukti yang akan diajukan pada jaksa untuk selanjutnya diungkapkan di persidangan yaitu kompleksitas perkara sering memerlukan pengetahuan yang komprehensif, tindak pidana TPPU pada umumnya melibatkan sekelompok orang yang saling menikmati keuntungan dari tindak pidana tersebut, waktu terjadinya tindak pidana TPPU umumnya baru terungkap setelah tenggang waktu yang cukup lama, kemajuan dibidang teknologi informasi memungkinkan TPPU terjadi melampaui batas kedaulatan suatu Negara

    Gender and Increased Access to Schooling in Cameroon: A Marginal Benefit Incidence Analysis

    Of great importance to policy makers is to know if females and poor households benefit more or less than the males or rich households from an expansion in access to public education. This is marginal benefit incidence of public spending which is rarely determined. In this paper, we determine the extent to which an expansion in public education is effective in reducing gender gaps in enrollments and thus, poverty in Cameroon. Government subsidies directed towards higher education are poorly targeted and the poorest income groups receive less than the richest income groups and indeed favor those who are better off. Similarly, gender disparity in access to public schools is higher at the tertiary level and lowest at primary level. Further, contrary to earlier studies which found that primary education expansion mostly benefits the poor, the present paper found that increased subsidy to primary and secondary education is captured by the middle income groups and as such cannot be good as a program that can be directed (explicitly) at fighting poverty. The difference may come from the fact that their enrollment estimates lump together private and public schools enrollments. It is difficult to think of a policy at which private operators will want to expand on their schooling projects
