Diffracted transition radiation of a relativistic electron in the artificial periodic multilayer medium
A theory of coherent X-ray radiation of a relativistic electron crossing the artificial periodic medium in the Laue scattering geometry is constructed. The expressions describing the spectral and angular characteristics of radiation in the direction of Bragg scattering are obtained and investigated. By analogy with the radiation emission in a crystalline medium this radiation is considered as the result of coherent summation of the contributions of two radiation mechanisms: parametric (PXR) and diffracted transition (DTR). It is shown that the yield of DTR from layered target can be more than one order higher than the yield in single crystal radiator, under similar conditions. The manifestations of the Borrmann effect for DTR in the artificial multilayer environment are demonstrated for a Laue scattering geometryyesBelgorod State Universit
Coherent X-radiation along the velocity of a relativistic electron in a bounded periodic multilayer medium
In the present work a theory of the coherent X-radiation generated by the relativistic electron crossing an artificial periodic layered structure in Laue scattering geometry is built The expressions are derived for spectral-angular distribution of the radiation in direction of the particle velocity. The comparative analysis of the spectral-angular density of the radiation is carried out for an artificial periodic structure and a single crystal in similar conditions. It is shown, that the spectral peak of the parametric X-radiation in the artificial periodic layered structure in the forward direction (FPXR) will be considerably wider than the one in a single crystal target which can make its experimental detection and investigation appreciably easieryesBelgorod State Universit

Construction of energy-efficient buildings becomes a top priority for many countries. Yet certain obstacles in achieving internal environment comfort standards remain in regions with extreme continental climate. In addition to engineering and economic challenges, there exist design process issues since design data should closely correspond with resulting performance of the building. This paper focuses on accurate energy demand estimation during design stage. Two types of buildings designed for Ural-Siberian region of Russia and for Kazakhstan are examined: detached and medium-rise apartment buildings. Most influential factors are taken into consideration and general recommendations on improving energy efficiency using effective combination of structural and engineering solutions are given. Adaptation of design procedure in terms of extreme continental climate made by means of simplified but precise Passive House planning tool is demonstrated.Π‘ΡΡΠΎΠΈΡΠ΅Π»ΡΡΡΠ²ΠΎ ΡΠ½Π΅ΡΠ³ΠΎΡΡΡΠ΅ΠΊΡΠΈΠ²Π½ΡΡ

Development of an Information Modeling System of Coal-Dust Fuel Injection into Tuyeres of a Blast Furnace
Abstract: The article considers a mathematical model of the combustion zone of a blast furnace working with the use of the injection of coal-dust fuel. In this model, two subsystems were identified: (1) subsystem of heating the particles of coal dust and volatiles released in the combustion zone; (2) subsystem of heat exchange and combustion processes in the tuyere. A two-dimensional velocity field of gas in the combustion zone was investigated. The combustion processes are considered as a set of simultaneously developing phenomena of coke burning in a layer, single pieces of coke and particles of coal dust. The model includes the following equations: total gas mass balance, gas component mass balance, gas heat balance, movement of coal dust particles, and heat balance of coal dust particles. The model calculates maximum burning temperature in the combustion zone, the distance from the cut of the tuyere to the focus of combustion, the length of the oxygen combustion zone, gas temperature, the content of gas phase components, and the degree of carbon burnout of pulverized coal at the outlet of the tuyere combustion zone. An information-modeling system has been developed. It allows for the investigation of the influence of combined blast characteristics, the properties of coke and coal-dust fuel, the geometric dimensions of tuyeres, and other factors on the temperature fields and concentrations of components of the gas phase in the combustion zone. The model also helps to select a rational mode of pulverized coal that will ensure completeness of its combustion in the tuyere combustion zone. The main functions of the program are as follows: representation of results of calculation in form of tables and diagrams, storage of options of basic data in a database, and export of results of calculation to Microsoft Excel. Conclusions were made on the reduction of the combustion temperature in the combustion zone and the approach of the focus of combustion to the tuyere when pulverized coal was injected. The authors also have established the need to use coals with certain quality characteristics and place where coal dust was introduced into the blast stream. Β© 2019, Allerton Press, Inc
