China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a blessing for Pakistan and China. China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) appears as a major ‘Prosperity Tool’ which can help Pakistan to overcome its economic problems. CPEC has been researched up till now in various trade and commerce fields but its most important linkage with education was hard to find. This study was aimed to identify the role of university teachers in developing awareness and providing guidance and counseling to their students regarding career opportunities existing in the projects of CPEC. All the teachers of public and private universities of city Lahore were the population of the study. A sample of 150 teachers was selected randomly from different departments of two public and two private universities of city Lahore. A self-developed and validated instrument was used to identify the role of teachers. Reliability index (Chronbach Alpha) of the instrument was α= .82. Results showed that teachers were playing their role to make students aware of the CPEC projects. They were also providing counseling informally to their students at higher education level regarding the career opportunities existing in the CPEC projects. There was no significant difference found in the role of teachers in providing career counseling to their students at higher education level about CPEC projects with respect to their gender, residential area, type of university, designation and years of working experience. It was recommended that universities should arrange seminars, workshops, conferences, panel discussions and brainstorming sessions for the sensitization of their faculty members so that they could create awareness among their students regarding CPEC and take measures for their career counseling

Favoritism is the action of giving preference to one group or individual over others regardless of having same privileges. It is a common practice at most of the institutes of education. This study is an effort to impart insight by measuring the effect of teachers’ favouritism on academic sabotage of future teacher of Elementary Education in Pakistan. This causal comparative study was based on a survey method. A sample of 450 students of session 2015-2017 was selected from the teacher education department of Elementary Education of Pakistan by using simple random sampling technique. Scale developed by Aydogan (2008) used to measure the Favouritism. This scale was consisted of 28 items under four factors: nature of preference, violation of rules, students’ assessment, and terms of communication. Education sabotage was measured through the scale of nine (9) items developed by Harris and Ogbonna in 2006. The items of both scales were revised to fit in the educational context of Pakistan. Descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, & Regression Analysis) were applied to analyze the data. Results depicted that according to future teachers’ perceptions teachers’ favouritism was at high level. In addition, there was insignificant difference in the perceptions of future teachers regarding teachers’ favouritism with respect to gender. However, a significant difference was found in the perceptions of students regarding teachers’ favouritism on the basis of their marital status. Moreover, there was a positive moderate relationship was determined between favouritism and academic sabotage. It is concluded that the teachers’ favouritism had significant effect on academic sabotage. It is suggested that policy makers may develop a transparent system for avoidance of favoritism in order to make educational institutes more effective and productive. Peristaltic flow analysis of thermal engineering nano model with effective thermal conductivity of different shape nanomaterials assessing variable fluid properties

    No full text
The current study is connected to a recent investigation regarding temperature-dependent viscous flow for various-shaped nanoparticles in a flexible tube. For velocity/pressure gradient/temperature, precise solutions have been determined. Cylindrical coordinates have been used to simulate the main flow problem, and the lubrication approximation method has been used to reduce the flow equations to ordinary differential equations (ODEs). For easier understanding, results are graphically discussed. Additionally, it can be seen that platelet-shaped particles have a smaller velocity field than brick- and cylinder-shaped particles. Further it is analyzed that if we add the specific brick-shaped nanoparticles to the fluid, the thermal conductivity of the fluid improves
