APLIKASI SISTEM BERBASIS SMS GATEWAY MENGGUNAKAN GAMMU, PHP DAN MYSQL (STUDI KASUS : KANTOR DINAS PERHUBUNGAN KOMUNIKASI DAN INFORMATIKA BANJARMASIN)

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan sebuah sistem aplikasi pengingat yang berbasis SMS Gateway yang akan membantu meningkatkan efektifitas dalam penyampaian dan penerimaan informasi seluruh pegawai pada Dinas Perhubungan Komunikasi dan Informatika Kota Banjarmasin.Pada Penelitian ini dipergunakan jenis penelitian dasar dan penelitian terapan. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu sumber data primer dan skunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan Interview, Observasi dan Dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya  aplikasi sistem pengingat berbasis SMS Gateway diharapkan dapat lebih bermanfaat dan membantu dalam hal penyampaian dan penerimaan informasi

Graduates is one of the important components within an educational institution in addition to students, faculty and stakeholders. Graduates is an educational product used  by  public. So it can be said that the Graduates is one of the parameters  to determine the success or failure of educational instituusi.To find the career increment and Graduate’s life, Business Administration Program Study State Polytechnics of Banjarmasin have a unit. Some way to gathering information about  graduates  with the phone and  fill in  form directly by graduates. Based on existing mechanisms, still have some weaknesses, they are not all of graduates are willing to be contacted by the officers, and not all graduates can fill in a form.The  purpose of this application is facilitate  the  collect  of  information  on  the graduates website for the application form so that most of graduates can access it more easily. Evaluating the face and content validity of a Teaching and Learning Guiding Principles Instrument (TLGPI): a perspective study of Malaysian teacher educators

Teaching and Learning Guiding Principles (TLGP) describes an organization’s beliefs and philosophy pertaining to quality assurance and performance improvement which guides the ‘what’, ‘why’ and ‘how’ of its activities. It is also a statement on the scholarship of teaching and learning and a reference guide to good practice specifically for teacher education institutions. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the face and content validity of a Teaching and Learning Guiding Principles Instrument (TLGPI). An expert panel of nine academicians in the field of teacher education reviewed and rated the TLGPI for the relevance and representativeness of each item based on a dichotomous rating of favourable or unfavourable. Their ratings were used to seek an agreement between the two or more raters in Cohen’s Kappa Index (CKI) and also to calculate the Content Validity Index (CVI) values of each final item. The percentage inter-rater agreement yielded at 70% of agreement in CKI. Items with CVI greater than 0.78 were included in the final instrument. The final instrument contained 67 items of 5-point Likert scale multiple choice options, categorised under six thematic domains namely (1) intellectual excitement; (2) quality learning spaces; (3) constructive alignment; (4) international and cultural diversity; (5) climate of inquiry and critical reflection; and finally (6) nurture good values, attitude and behaviour. The finding supports the face and content validity of this 67-item questionnaire, hence could be further researched on construct validity

The Role of Design Factors in Influencing Training Transfer among Small Businesswomen

The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of design factors which consist of training content, training delivery, trainer competency and opportunity to use on small businesswomen’s goal setting activities. The instrument for this research is adapted and modified from the Training Transfer Model and Model for Excellence (American Society of Training and Development Competency Research). Four independent variables: training content, training delivery and trainer’s competency and opportunity to use; and goal setting as dependent variable formed the framework for this research. Multiple regressions were used to investigate the relationship between design factors and goal setting. Findings from a survey of 246 small businesswomen attending training programs organized by government agencies showed that opportunity to use made the strongest contribution towards goal setting followed by training content, trainer’s competency and training delivery. Awareness on the constraints or barriers in the design factors can assist the primary stakeholders (organizer and trainers) and human resource personnel in developing effective training programs. Thus, this alertness can help to create a fair situation for them to accomplish their training objectives. Finally it is also beneficial to the trainees to transfer the knowledge and skills to their own businesses
