    Peningkatan Kemampuan Pemahaman dan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis serta Kemandirian Belajar Siswa SMP melalui Pendekatan Kontekstual Teknik Tari Bambu

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjawab pertanyaan apakah pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual teknik tari bambu dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis, pemecahan masalah matematis dan kemandirian belajar siswa ditinjau dari: (1) level sekolah, (2) kemampuan awal matematis (KAM) dan (3) keseluruhan siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi-eksperimen. Desain pada penelitian ini adalah desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes atau Pretest-Posttest Control Grup Design. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual teknik tari bambu dan kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran langsung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN di Kota Pekanbaru yang terdiri dari SMPN 4 Pekanbaru sebagai sekolah level tinggi, SMPN 25 Pekanbaru sebagai sekolah level sedang dan SMPN 35 Pekanbaru sebagai sekolah level rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, angket kemandirian belajar, pedoman observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh pendekatan kontekstual teknik tari bambu lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung ditinjau dari level sekolah, kategori KAM, dan keseluruhan siswa; (2) pencapaian kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual teknik tari bambu pada level sekolah sedang lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung; (3) pencapaian kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual teknik tari bambu pada kategori KAM tinggi lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung; (4) pencapaian kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual teknik tari bambu secara keseluruhan sama dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung; (5) peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual teknik tari bambu pada level sekolah sedang lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung; (6) peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual teknik tari bambu pada kategori KAM (tinggi, sedang dan rendah) lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung; (7) peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual teknik tari bambu secara keseluruhan lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung; (8) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan level sekolah terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis, kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar siswa; (9) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kategori KAM terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis, kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar siswa. --- The aim of this research is to answer the question of whether the teaching and learning with contextual approach using bamboo dance technique can increase students’ mathematical problem-solving and understanding ability and self-regulated learning in terms of: (1) School level, (2) Mathematical prior knowledge (MPK),and (3) Students of all. It is quasi-experimental research employing the pretest-posttest control group design. The experimental group was treated with the teaching and learning using contextual approach with bamboo dance technique, and the control group with direct instruction. The population consisted of eight grade students of SMPN (State Junior High School) in Pekanbaru City, consisting of SMPN 4 Pekanbaru as the school of the highest level, SMPN 25 Pekanbaru of the medium level, and SMPN 35 Pekanbaru of the low level. The instruments used included a test on mathematical understanding ability, a test on mathematical problem solving, questionnaire on self-regulated learning, observation guidelines, and interview. The result of this study show that: (1) The students taught with contextual approach with bamboo dance technique had greater achievements and enhancement in mathematical problem solving and understanding ability than those taught with direct instruction in terms of school level, MPK category, and students of all; (2) The students of the medium school level taught with contextual approach with bamboo dance technique had greater achievements in their self-regulated learning than those taught with direct instruction; (3) The students with high MPK category taught with contextual approach using bamboo dance technique had greater achievements in self-regulated learning than those taught with direct instruction; (4) The students in general taught with contextual approach using bamboo dance technique had similar achievements in self-regulated learning to those taught with direct instruction; (5) The students from a medium school level taught with contextual approach using bamboo dance technique had a greater enhancement in self-regulated learning than those taught with direct instruction; (6) The students with high, medium, and low MPK categories taught with contextual approach using bamboo dance technique had a greater enhancement in self-regulated learning than those taught with direct instruction; (7) The students of all taught with contextual approach using bamboo dance technique had a greater enhancement in self-regulated learning than those taught with direct instruction; (8) There was no interaction between learning models and school levels and students’ enhancement mathematical understanding ability, mathematical problem solving, and self-regulated learning; (9) There was no interaction between learning models and MPK categories and students’ enhancement mathematical understanding ability, mathematical problem solving, and self-regulated learning

    In order to measure the achievement of students’ competencies, a teacher needs to have the skills to develop various forms of good instruments. One form of the instruments is a test with questions. To have a good instrument, it needs to be analyzed by testing the content validity, construct validity and the reliability of the questions.In compiling the test questions, the plan is also called a grid question that will provide directional guidance. In principle, the grid question that will be carried out is necessary for the expected outcome to be achieved. A careful and conceptual grid question is a guarantee for a teacher in measuring the students’ learning mastery with relevant and representative. If the students' abilities are measurable, information on academic ability and achievement of learning objectives can be obtained. The compiling of the grid question was the solution to the problem above. It was due to the grid question covered the scope and the content of the material to be tested. Therefore, it was necessary to implement an activity of making grid question for teachers of PGRI High School. The method of this activity was a workshop for high school teachers in compiling grid question. The results of this community service show that the motivation and the awareness of teachers about the importance of making good, valid, and reliable grid question were increased

    Kualitas pembakaran dapat ditingkatkan dengan penambahan gas hidrogen dan oksigen yang diperoleh dari elektrolisi air, bahkan dapat megurangi pemakaian bahan bakar utama. Pada penelitian ini sepeda motor dipakai sebagai alat uji. Hasil elektrolisis disalurkan kedalam intake manifold agar langsung masuk kedalam ruang bakar. Percobaan dilakukan di Lab. Teknik Pembakaran dan Bahan Bakar ITS.Tahapan pertama yaitu mencari hasil terbaik gas hidrogen dengan membuat generator HHO tipe dry menggunakan plate SS316L. Ukuran plate 70 mm x 70 mm, bagian tengah plate di lubangi Ø 12 mm, bagian atas dan bagian bawah plat dilubangi Ø 10 mm dengan variasi 1-6 cell. Masing-masing cell menggunakan 4 plate netral dengan penambahan 5, 7, 9 gram KOH. Setelah generator gas HHO dipilih yang terbaik, tahap kedua pengujian unjuk kerja dan emisi gas buang. Penelitian dipakai cara perbandingan antara bahan bakar pertamax (RON 91)dengan bahan bakar campuran pertamax + gas HHO. Dari hasil penelitian dengan penambahan bahan bakar gas HHO terjadi peningkatan daya sebesar 50 % pada 3000 rpm, peningkatan torsi sebesar 29,41 % pada 3000 rpm, penurunan Sfc tertinggi sebesar 50,63 % pada 3000 rpm , peningkatan BMEP tertinggi sebesar 41,46 % pada 3000 rpm, peningkatan efisiensi thermal tertinggi sebesar 49,75 % pada 3000 rpm. Menurunkan kadar emisi CO 39,52 % pada 3000 rpm, CO2 menurun 18,2 % pada 3000 rpm dan peningkatan O2 11,01 % pada 3000 rp

    Development of Animated Video-Based Mathematics Learning Media using Powtoons on Quadrilateral and Triangular Materials

    This study aims to determine the validity and practicality of video-based learning media development using Powtoon on square and triangular materials in the 7th grade of SM. The type of development research uses the R&D model (Research and Development) which has been modified into 7 stages, namely Potential and Problem, Data Collection, Product Design, Design Validation, Design Revision, Trial Product Testing and End Product. Research objects are video animation-based learning media using Powtoon on square and triangular materials in the 7th Grade. The test subjects are 20 students in the 8th Graduate Grade State 1 Kerinci Right. A learning media product developed using Powtoon is validated by four validators. Data validation results and practicality in the analysis by determining the average of each assessment. Results from the analysis of validation data show an average of 85.92% with criteria very valid. The elevation evaluation of the teacher's response to the use of learning media obtained an average of 85.33% with very practical criteria and the average elevation assessment of the student response of 86.48% with the criteria highly practical. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning media based on animated video using Powtoon on square and triangular material of grade VII SM tested its validity and practicality. This research needs to be continued to test its effectiveness on the cognitive abilities of students in the topics of quadrilaterals and triangles

    Development of Mathematics Learning Tools Based on Ethnomathematics on Rectangular and Triangles in Junior High School

    Ethnomathematics is mathematics that appears in a particular culture and is considered a learning approach that aims to enable students to solve mathematical problems related to their daily activities which include grouping, counting, measuring, designing buildings or tools, playing, and determining location. This study aims to produce ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning tools on quadrilaterals and triangles that have been tested for feasibility. Learning tools are in the form of learning implementation plans (LIP) and student worksheets (SAS). This study uses the R&D method with the following steps: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validity, design revision, and final product. In the R&D method, researchers did not use the pilot stage because school learning was carried out online. The data collection technique used is validation data and validator response data from two Mathematics Education Lecturers and one Mathematics Teacher. The data analysis technique used is validation data analysis and validator response data analysis to mathematics learning tools. From the research results obtained LIP validation results 89.72% with very valid criteria and 92.25% SAS validation results with very valid criteria. While the results of the validator's response to LIP were 80% with good criteria and the results of the validator's response to SAS were 79.86% with good criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning tools on quadrilateral and triangle material is feasible to be used and tested in junior high schools

Batam has 81,486 MSMEs located in Batam, the number of 81,486 is for all types of MSMEs, ranging from micro, small to medium. The purpose of this study is to find out how the strategies and inhibiting factors of the Office of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises in the development of micro and small businesses based on creative economy based in Batam City. This study uses descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques according to data obtained by researchers in the field. Data obtained in the form of words, pictures, notes, documents and interviews. The analytical method used in this research is SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) by monitoring internal and external factors. The results of the study using SWOT analysis and strategies that can be used by the Batam City Micro Business Cooperatives Office are as follows: A) Strategic Strength Opportunity (SO), namely increasing integrated business service centers in micro business development (S1, O2.03), socializing integrated services electronically (OSS) in developing micro enterprises (S1, S2, O1, O2). B) Strenght Threat Strategy (ST), namely improving the implementation of supervision (SI, T1, T2, T3), socializing electronically integrated services (OSS) in the development of microbusinesses. C) Weakness-Opportunity (WO) strategy, namely increasing the budget and human resources increase and increasing cooperation with the private sector (W1, O3), increasing social media marketing socialization in order to minimize operational costs (W1, O1, O2).
