However, since the amount of collected documents is enormous, often it cannot be properly made into specimen and organized. Curators and museum staff hope these materials, published openly for regular or arts and design related people, could promote understanding and interest in community, and drive creation of various reproductive works like paintings or sculptures. In addition, these science resources owned by regional museums are being used in outreach activities such as traveling Museum for children taking long term hospital treatments, or disaster struck areas. The goal of this study, is using selected skeletal specimens of the hand of animals to create a replica using digital technology such as 3D scanning, as well as exploring its practical uses

In 2014, we have changed show to participate in Milan from âSalone Satelliteâ to âVentura Lambrateâ, and in Tokyo, we participated in jointed booth with Ichiro in âBA to MAâ exhibition. As fruits of our continuous activities, one of work designed by our students finally commercialized, some product development projects with manufacturer started, and we received an offer of cooperation project from a foreign university. These fruits can expect to provide a depth to our educational program of Design Soil. And we held workshops and lectures what are open to other students, then we found that these programs attempt to generate awareness in participants and some students finally applied for selection of Design Soil member. But the number of participants in those programs has fallen below expectations. We need inventions on publication to let students know our high level activities in order to have a positive effect on students

The ETUQ: Everyday Technology Usage Questionnaire developed in Karolinska Institutet is used in both countries translated in Japanese for Japanese subjects. Most of subjects are facing difficulties in their daily living since quit using daily electric apparatuses and/or losing there memory. When appropriate assistive technologies andimplified electronics are produced, a lot of dementias or MCI;Mutual Cognitive Impairment may not give up livingalone at own house

èŠã§ãããIn Singapore, a lot of industries move out from Singapore, therefore it is decreasing that a chance to develop products at university with a company. Because of this, Design incubation center of National University of Singapore has developed original brand called âD.Labâ , then they design, develop, produce in the university, and put onto the market as a commercial products under the name of âD.Labâ.Good design have to fulfill all the conditions of good for form, usability, production, distribution, sales, and price etc., it have to be not only prototype but also commercial product. D.Lab exhibit their products at important exhibitions just like product manufacturers. It tend to be able to get a fair evaluation regardless of name recognition especially at exhibition out of Japan, therefore it is very effective to gain recognition for a minor brand. This progressive approach is fairly successful, it thanks in large part to a talented design director, Patrick Chia. In university, it need a branding center around taking part in important exhibitions with a talented design director

In addition, we also hold workshops and aim to discover effective ways of design education that can be returned to practical lessons. Through the exhibition in Milan in April, several works were selected as candidates for commercialization. In conjunction with holding an exhibition in Kobe in November, members of DESIGN SOIL and former members who graduated held a talk event talking about their own experiences. It was confirmed that the words by students who exhibited in the Milan is effective as the most realistic thing for the surrounding students. Through a workshop linking the museum tour with design practice, I was able to find a method applicable to design practice etc. From the hearing to the members, the activities of DESIGN SOIL and the participation of the exhibition abroad were able to give strong stimulus to participating students and surrounding students, and it was confirmed that good influence is circulating

From the viewpoint of design incubation,Japan is significantly behind the design advanced countriesof Europe. In this study, in order to set up the Design IncubationCenter, we will conduct a survey of universities thatpractice precedents. And we also consider possibilities as aneducational program through practicing and verifying theprocess of completing a work as a product. After having exhibited in Milan in April 2017 and holdingan exhibition in Kobe in June, We confirmed the result ofcontinuing activities including participation in theexhibition. In advanced countries in the design, universities andstudents are actively engaged in activities linked to themarket in a way that suits nationalities and cultures.Through the survey, we have confirmed cases that serve asreference for promoting unique design incubation in Japan

While last year, we investigated the eco-friendly ship in the near future in collaboration with the university of Berlin-Weissensee. This year, we actually built the Eco Ship.We modified yacht that moves by wind power, the clean energy. Normally the yacht uses gasoline engine to move when there is no wind. The idea is that we replace the gasoline engine to motor and the yacht will become more eco-friendly ship. In addition, the power to the motor uses the energy generated by solar panel and realized the complete clean ship. Power generation capacity of solar panels of the current is low still, the yacht we built can cruise only for 1.5 hours, but it is sufficient for the yacht for Setouchi area. There are a lot of Inlands in Setouchi area and the environment is quite mild, so the environment of Setouchi is easy to adapt for an eco-friendly ship was found. We considered the simple structure and use common materials as much as possible for the possibility of the future expansion to other users yacht

There are many ecological driving systems. Of these, particularly electronic driving system is getting better.Nowadays, many people are researching about ecological generation systems, but all the performance of supply energy capacity is quite little, so we donât have the perfect cycle energy system now. From this reason when we design new ecological transportation we must consider about the scale of the ecological electronic system.âSetouchiâ sea is one of the best area for the systems. The people who lives wants new transportation .There are a lot of natural beauty, Islands, but the people canât go across the Islands freely because of the abolition of the Ferry route. The students of our university and the university of Berlin-Weissensee designed the ecological ship for the peoples

Good criticism makes students grow bigger, 2. Hands-on learning experience as a member of a team makes students grow bigger. Regarding hypothesis 1, some students said âMy pride has dented by good criticism, and this is why I was really glad of positive reviews, and then I become convincing to myself. I had been able to grow by those both experiences.âThose cases prove the hypothesis 1. Regarding hypothesis 2, some students who exhibited their own work said âmember who has rejected gave a hand to help me or worked hard for the team in their own way, its made me energetic. And it made me have a strong will to complete my work for them.â And some students who did not exhibited said âIf I was individual, my challenge was ended when I was rejected. But if I was in a team, it iscontinue. I have deeply grown in faculty and as a person.â.Thus, it is confirmed that team activities influence a studentâs development

On the other hand, households which have elderly counted 42% in 2010 in Japan. The cabinet estimated 1.3 million men and 3.5 million women of over 65 live alone. One of the fears of aging people is to be a dementia. People must move to institute when the stage of dementia goes deep. The dementia like an Alzheimerâs disease become worth in several years, after intermediate stage so called MCI. In this intermediate stage, if some kind of problems happens, family member tend to take his/her independent activities. This makes dementia worth. The authors interviewed 91 elderly who live alone to find what kind of everyday technology are still used or quite using.
