    Lessons from Building Acoustic Models with a Million Hours of Speech

    This is a report of our lessons learned building acoustic models from 1 Million hours of unlabeled speech, while labeled speech is restricted to 7,000 hours. We employ student/teacher training on unlabeled data, helping scale out target generation in comparison to confidence model based methods, which require a decoder and a confidence model. To optimize storage and to parallelize target generation, we store high valued logits from the teacher model. Introducing the notion of scheduled learning, we interleave learning on unlabeled and labeled data. To scale distributed training across a large number of GPUs, we use BMUF with 64 GPUs, while performing sequence training only on labeled data with gradient threshold compression SGD using 16 GPUs. Our experiments show that extremely large amounts of data are indeed useful; with little hyper-parameter tuning, we obtain relative WER improvements in the 10 to 20% range, with higher gains in noisier conditions.Comment: "Copyright 2019 IEEE.     Louhintatärinän eteneminen betonirakennuksessa

    Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tutkia louhintatärinän muuttumista ja etenemistä betonirakennuksessa. Tutkimus suoritettiin useiden tärinämittareiden avulla. Mittauksia suoritettiin kolmessa eri rakennuksessa. Tärinämittarit olivat rakennuksissa eri kerroksissa, eri pystylinjoina. Kaikissa oli meneillään tunnelin louhintatyö rakennuksen alapuolella. Alkuun olen kerännyt eri lähteistä taustatietoa louhintatärinästä ja sen ominaisuuksista. Tulosten tarkastelu rajattiin heilahdusnopeuden vertailuun, mukana on heilahdusnopeuden kolme eri komponenttia. Vertailu tapahtuu pystysuunnassa olevien mittapisteiden kesken. Tuloksista tein taulukot ja kaaviot, joiden kuvaajista on helpoin nähdä tärinän muutos. Tulokset osoittavat, että tärinän muuttuminen oli erilaista eri kohteissa. Pääsääntöisesti tärinä vaimenee kerrosluvun kasvaessa. Seinissä tärinä voi voimistua joka puolella rakennusta. Kantavissa pilareissa voimistumista tapahtui vain alimmissa kerroksissa ja lähellä räjäytyspaikkaa. Ulkoseinäelementeissä tärinä vaimentui lähes täysin.The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to study how blasting vibration travels and changes in concrete buildings. The study was conducted with a number of vibration monitors in three different buildings. The vibration monitors were placed on different floors on different vertical lines. All three buildings had a tunnel blasting site beneath them. The study starts with theoretical background information on blasting vibration and its features. The comparison between three components of particle velocity are studied in the results. The comparison is made between the vertical measuring points. I made diagrams and charts of the results which depict the changes in the vibrations. The results show that vibration behaves differently in different cases. In most cases, the vibration diminishes in the higher floors. In the walls the vibration can increase throughout the building. The vibration increased only in the low floors and near the blasting site in the supporting load-bearing columns. In the outer wall pre-fabricated units, the vibration was almost completely muted

    Perusahaan yang melakukan proses produksi harus menyusun perencanaan dan penjadwalan kegiatan dengan tepat, karena memenuhi pesananan merupakan kredibilitas yang harus dijaga perusahaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada PT. Iskandar Indah Printing Textile, yang merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang industri textile. Jenis produk yang dihasilkan PT. Iskandar Indah printing Textile di Departemen Weaving adalah kain grey. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui urutan proses produksi kain grey pada departemen weaving, mengetahui waktu masing-masing kegiatan dan metode yang sebaiknya digunakan perusahaan dalam proses produksi departemen weaving PT. Iskandar Indah Printing Textile. Dari data yang diperlukan, diperoleh waktu yang paling efisien dalam penyelesaian pekerjaan dan mencari jalur kritis. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis network dengan metode PERT (Program Evalution and Review technique) dan CPM (Critical Path Method). Dari hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, urutan kegiatan proses produksi kain grey departemen weaving yaitu : Warping (A), Sizing/kanji (B), Ricing/cucuk (C), Palet (D), Tenun (E), Inspecting (F), dan Folding (G). Waktu standar yang diperlukan oleh perusahaan dalam proses produksi kain grey adalah 196,5 jam. Perhitungan dengan menggunakan metode PERT yang menghasilkan Expected Time ( waktu yang diharapkan), waktu ini digunakan sebagai acuan untuk menghitung dengan metode CPM yang menghasilkan waktu 195,3jam dan diperoleh jalur kritisdari proses produksi yaitu A – B – C- E – F – G. Dengan hasilan alisis network diatas, dapat diketahui kemampuan perusahaan dalam menyelesaikan produksikain grey sudah baik. Tapi dengan membandingkan waktu standar perusahaan dengan perhitungan menggunakan metode PERT dan CPM dalam proses produksi, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa dengan analisis network menghasilkan waktu yang relative cepat yaitu 1 jam 12 menit. Saran yang dapat penulis berikan pada perusahaan yaitu agar perusahaan menerapkan network dengan metode PERT dan CPM dalam pelaksanaan proses produksi selanjutnya dan melakukan pengawasan dan chek terhadap mesin produksi sehingga semakin memperlancar dan meningkatkan produktivitas perusahaan.     The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of service quality and cusotmer value on loyalty and analyze the effect of the service quality on cusomer loyalty mediated by customer value. This study is a survey. Population are customer Popeye Chicken Express Nusukan 1 Surakarta. Sample as many as 100 people with purposive sampling and convenience sampling. The type of data used quantitative and qualitative data. Sources of data used primary data and secondary data. The technique of collecting data used questionnaires, observations and literature. Data were analyzed used path analysis. The survey results revealed that the service quality has a significant effect on customer loyalty. Service quality has not a significant effect on customer value. Customer value has a significant effect on customer loyalty. Customer value mediate the effect of service quality on customer loyalt

    Current Diagnosis and Management of Helicobacter Pylori

    Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a microbe which cause chronic infection in human. Currently, the prevalence in developed countries continue to decrease, but the same does not happen in developing countries. Orofecal transmission and its connection with environmental condition is assumed to be its cause.Impact of H. pylori infection in gastric mucosa is influenced by the bacteria pathogenesis which is able to survive in acid condition and causes inflammatory reaction. The diagnosis is differentiated through endoscopy or non-endoscopy depends on the alarm symptoms, local prevalence, pre-test probability, availability, cost and aim of examination.Management of H. pylori depends on the high rate of clarithromycin resistence. In area with resistency prevalence below 20% triple therapy can still be used, while in increasing resistency area, use of four times daily therapy or other antibiotics such as levofloxacin and furazolidone can be considered

    Max-Pooling Loss Training of Long Short-Term Memory Networks for Small-Footprint Keyword Spotting

    We propose a max-pooling based loss function for training Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks for small-footprint keyword spotting (KWS), with low CPU, memory, and latency requirements. The max-pooling loss training can be further guided by initializing with a cross-entropy loss trained network. A posterior smoothing based evaluation approach is employed to measure keyword spotting performance. Our experimental results show that LSTM models trained using cross-entropy loss or max-pooling loss outperform a cross-entropy loss trained baseline feed-forward Deep Neural Network (DNN). In addition, max-pooling loss trained LSTM with randomly initialized network performs better compared to cross-entropy loss trained LSTM. Finally, the max-pooling loss trained LSTM initialized with a cross-entropy pre-trained network shows the best performance, which yields 67.6%67.6\% relative reduction compared to baseline feed-forward DNN in Area Under the Curve (AUC) measure

    Unsur kimia yang terdiri dari banyak unsur sering membuat siswa malas dengan mata pelajaran kimia khususnya dalam hal menghafal sistem periodik unsur kimia. Salah satu cara untuk membantu para siswa ini dapat dilakukan dengan memanfaaatkan perkembangan teknologi yaitu augmented reality berbasis mobile. Sehingga siswa dapat menggunakan gadget sebagai sarana inovasi positif dalam hal edukasi untuk menunjang sistem belajar yang interaktif. Peneliti merancang dan membuat sebuah aplikasi augmented reality dengan tampilan, operasional, dan materi yang baik sehingga dapat diterima sebagai media pembelajaran untuk mempelajari materi sistem periodik unsur kimia bagi siswa sekolah menengah atas berbasis android mobile. Peneliti menggunakan metode SDLC model waterfall dengan cara melakukan pendekatan secara sistematis dan berurutan dalam melakukan penelitian ini. Perancangan dan pembangunan sistem dilakukan dengan proses pemodelan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML) model use case, activity diagram, sequence diagram dan diimplementasikan menggunakan software Unity 3D dan Vuforia. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penilaian melalui kuesioner yang telah diujikan di SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo, Mendungan, Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah diperoleh kesimpulan yaitu telah dibuat aplikasi augmented reality sistem periodik unsur kimia dengan baik dan lebih dari 80% siswa dan guru menyatakan tampilan, operasional, dan materi sudah baik, sehingga aplikasi ini dapat diterima sebagai media pembelajaran
