Monitoring of distribution of monogenean ectoparasite Gyrodactylus salaris, dangerous for wild populations of the Atlantic salmon in northwest Europe, is carried out by Veterinary Services and the profile scientific organizations in different European countries. In Murmansk area, Gyrodactylus lavareti was first found in a trout farm in Tuloma River in 1996. From now on, representatives of genus Gyrodactylus are annually identified in farmed fish in Tuloma River, according to ichthyopatholocic observations of salmonid farms in Murmansk area. Species G. salaris was indicated in 2016 in farmed trout in Tuloma River and in wild salmon smolts in Pak River of the Nizhnetulomsky water basin. Throughout a number of years, the experts of Regional Veterinary Service and the scientific organizations of Murmansk area discuss necessity of working out of measures to prevent Gyrodactylus salaris introduction in the rivers of the Kola Peninsula with wild populations of the Atlantic salmon. Any transport of smolt and live fish from the freshwater objects of Baltic Sea basin to the water objects of the Barents Sea basin sea would become the most significant threat by parasite Gyrodactylus salaris distribution and might cause a damage of natural populations of the Atlantic salmon of Kola Peninsula

    Get PDF
The aim of the research study is the description of the information analytical system developed by the authors for the formation of an integral linguistic assessment of the quality of educational services from the perspective of three main groups of consumers: employers, students and young professionals. The computation of the integral linguistic quality assessment is based on specially structured information obtained in the course of a voluntary online survey of consumers on specialized quality criteria for groups. A site has been developed for the online survey. The algorithmic support of the information-analytical system is based on the methods SERVQUAL, SWOT-analysis and fuzzy linguistic information processing technologies. The tools of the information analytical system allow us to obtain: linguistic assessments of the quality of services from the perspective of each group of consumers, an integral quality assessment for all consumers and automatically build a SWOT analysis matrix to develop a strategy to improve the quality of the analysed services. In accordance with modern standards of quality management, the approach to quality assessment laid down in the methodology for generating results uses the assumption that the consumer assesses the quality of services based on a comparison of his/her expectations and perceptions of the service during its receipt.

Angiogenic properties of aged adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells after hypoxic conditioning

Background: Mesenchymal stem cells derived from adipose tissue (ADSC) are multipotent stem cells, originated from the vascular-stromal compartment of fat tissue. ADSC are used as an alternative cell source for many different cell therapies, however in ischemic cardiovascular diseases the therapeutic benefit was modest. One of the reasons could be the use of autologous aged ADSC, which recently were found to have impaired functions. We therefore analysed the effects of age on age markers and angiogenic properties of ADSC. Hypoxic conditioning was investigated as a form of angiogenic stimulation. Methods: ADSC were harvested from young (1-3 month), adult (12 month) and aged (18-24 month) mice and cultured under normoxic (20%) and hypoxic (1%) conditions for 48 h. Differences in proliferation, apoptosis and telomere length were assessed in addition to angiogenic properties of ADSC. Results: Proliferation potential and telomere length were decreased in aged ADSC compared to young ADSC. Frequency of apoptotic cells was higher in aged ADSC. Gene expression of pro-angiogenic factors including vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), placental growth factor (PlGF) and hepatic growth factor (HGF) were down-regulated with age, which could be restored by hypoxia. Transforming growth factor (TGF-b) increased in the old ADSC but was reduced by hypoxia. Expression of anti-angiogenic factors including thrombospondin-1 (TBS1) and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) did increase in old ADSC, but could be reduced by hypoxic stimulation. Endostatin (ENDS) was the highest in aged ADSC and was also down-regulated by hypoxia. We noted higher gene expression of proteases system factors like urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR), matrix metalloproteinases (MMP2 and MMP9) and PAI-1 in aged ADSC compared to young ADSC, but they decreased in old ADSC. Tube formation on matrigel was higher in the presence of conditioned medium from young ADSC in comparison to aged ADSC. Conclusions: ADSC isolated from older animals show changes, including impaired proliferation and angiogenic stimulation. Angiogenic gene expression can be partially be improved by hypoxic preconditioning, however the effect is age-dependent. This supports the hypothesis that autologous ADSC from aged subjects might have an impaired therapeutic potential

An assessment was made of the possibility of obtaining dihaploids by the method of anther culture in vitro to accelerate breeding for resistance to prolonged flooding of rice with water. The object of the study is F2 rice hybrids of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution, Agrarian Research Center “Donskoy” (ARC “Donskoy”) rice breeding and seed laboratory, obtained by crossing the best varieties in terms of economically valuable traits with samples carrying genes for resistance to prolonged flooding with water. Basic nutrient media with the optimal composition of nutrients and growth hormones that stimulate callus and morphogenesis were used. Cultivation of anthers revealed large genotypic differences between the samples. In terms of responsiveness to neoplasms, 1/3 of the number of plants showed a positive result, the rest did not give calli. The most responsive to the formation of calli were hybrid combinations: 5009/2 – 84 pcs., 5010/2 – 94 pcs., 4565/3 –85 pcs., 4641/2 – 69 pcs. They also showed the ability to morphogenesis. Androgenic plants were obtained from 13 hybrid combinations, their share was 1.03% of the total number of inoculated anthers. 30 green regenerated lines were obtained from four rice hybrids, differing in visual morphological assessment: 5009/2 – 5 pcs., 5010/2 – 5 pcs., 4565/3 – 2 pcs., 4641/2 – 18 pcs. The isolated lines are characterized by good responsiveness in anther culture in vitro, carry genes for resistance to prolonged flooding, and can be used in rice breeding programs using DG technologies

Involvement in the project of foreign experts on the "One Belt, One Road" initiative of the Renmin University of China has provided an opportunity to comprehend how and for what purpose information is formed on the initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping, as well as the role of the mass media in the formation of a positive image of the proposed initiative. The study deals with the information component of the initiative of the People's Republic of China in the framework of the vector focused on the Russian Federation. More than five years have passed since Chinese President Xi Jinping announced in Astana, Kazakhstan a new Chinese initiative called "One Belt, One Road". From the reports of various Chinese agencies, it follows that the initiative of the People's Republic of China is quite successfully implemented in all areas. The forums held in Beijing in 2018 and 2019 showed that the main emphasis was made on the image component of the "One Belt, One Road" concept, which was a demonstration of the increased role of China as an independent center of power. According to some Chinese scientists, China no longer denies its desire to become a leader in the current world order. Moreover, while until recently China has been limited to economic domination, today its influence extends into the (geo) political sphere. Además, aunque hasta hace poco China se había limitado a la dominación económica, hoy su influencia se extiende a la esfera (geo) políticaРабота в проекте иностранных экспертов инициативы «Один пояс, один путь» Renmin University of Chinа предоставила возможность понять, как и с какой целью формируется информация по инициативе Председателя КНР Си Цзиньпина, роль СМИ в формировании позитивного имиджа инициативы.

Mast cell activation syndrome: a new world view.

    Get PDF
Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) is a severe relapsing disease requiring inpatient treatment, the clinical picture of which contains signs of anaphylaxis. The article presents diagnostic criteria to differentiate MCAS from other severe conditions with similar symptoms, as well as discusses local forms of mast cell activation. The consensus group established clear criteria for diagnosing MCAS. These agreed-upon criteria include episodic (recurrent) occurrence of typical systemic symptoms that are caused by mast cells mediators and involve at least 2 organ systems; an increase in serum tryptase level of at least 20% over individual baseline tryptase plus 2 ng/ml tryptase within 3-4 hours of the reaction; a positive response to drugs that either target mast cells mediators or their effects. The classification of MCAS is etiological in nature, and is subdivided into primary (clonal) MCAS, secondary MCAS, and idiopathic MCAS. Primary MCAS is determined by clonal expansion of mast cells and is systemic mastocytosis. In secondary MCAS, normal mast cells are activated by known triggers, such as via IgE. If neither clonal expansion nor a trigger for mast cells activation can be identified, the condition is defined as idiopathic MCAS.The new coronavirus infection Covid-19 has attracted particular interest in MCAS, it has been suggested that the severe course of Covid-19 is due to latent MCAS, but the criteria for MCAS in these patients were not reproduced. In the presence of local symptoms, such as urticaria, or in the presence of 1 organ involvement, such as isolated gastrointestinal symptoms, and suspicion of mast cells activation as the basis of pathogenesis, the term mast cells activation disorder was introduced. Also, the article discusses several different mediators that are proposed for use in the diagnosis of MCAS.However, overdiagnosis of MCAS entails the risk of missing the underlying pathology, which is not associated with MCAS, and requires differential diagnosis with a number of diseases. In the absence of severe attacks (with hypotension and shock), the likelihood of MCAS is generally very low. Certainly, patients with mastocytosis and/or confirmed IgE-dependent allergy are at higher risk of developing MCAS, but a key diagnostic marker is an event-related increase in mast cells tryptase from baseline, measured in the asymptomatic interval. When the tryptase level rises above a certain threshold (20% of baseline plus 2 ng/mL), a diagnosis of MCAS is highly likely
