In Malaysia, breast cancer is the primary cause of cancer-related death among women. It affected younger women correlates with poor survival and early detection can increase the quality of life. The study aims are to evaluate breast cancer awareness among the female community in UiTM Puncak Alam Campuses. A cross-sectional approach was used while conducting the study. It is found that the level of knowledge of breast cancer awareness relatively fair, and the level of practice is low. Hence, the proactive approach to instill the awareness on breast cancer must be strengthened by the expert in the field. Keywords: Breast Cancer; Knowledge; Practice. eISSN: 2398-4287ยฉ 2020. While there is abundance of studies regarding online distance learning (ODL) among university students, information regarding ODL among undergraduates in Malaysia is limited, more so during the Covid-19 pandemic. This was a cross-sectional online survey involving a total of 308 undergraduates from various universities in Malaysia aimed to evaluate undergraduatesโ€™ perception of readiness and satisfaction towards online distance learning, platform preferences, attitudes and motivations, barriers towards ODL and also factors contributing to these variables. Questionnaires that include Online Learning Readiness Scale (OLRS) and additional information regarding challenges faced by undergraduates and their satisfaction levels towards ODL were used in this survey. The results showed that the undergraduates preferred a combination of face-to-face and online learning (68.8%) rather than online learning alone (5.5%). Majority of the respondents preferred having synchronous classes as compared to asynchronous classes (37.7%) and they rated Google Meet as their most preferred platform for their classes. In addition, the undergraduates shown fairly goodperception and neutral satisfaction towards ODL. Factors such as ethnicity and the state where the undergraduates lived were found to more likely cause them to have poor satisfaction towards ODL. While, undergraduates who have handphones have a higher satisfaction level towards ODL. Several challenges were encountered throughout ODL with the most challenging was the unsupportive environment, which in turn causing the undergraduates to be distracted and losing focus during ODL. Our findings highlighted that majority undergraduates preferred a combination of face-to-face and online learning rather than online learning alone. These findings will be beneficial for educators in the planning for future teaching and learning methods. Future studies with a larger sample size are needed to evaluate the independent risk factors related to low motivations, perceptions and satisfaction among undergraduates using ODL

/ Hand washing practice is one of preventive measures for some common infectious diseases. Thus to promote hand washing among community, level of knowledge and awareness amoog the population should be assessed so that appropriate interventions can be carried out. The objective of this study was to study the knowledge, attitude and practice 00 hand washing among residents of Stapang I aged 18 and above from 11th of June to 17th of August 201iJ The results obtained were then using as the baseline data to conduct an intervention programme beneficial to the community to enhance their level of knowledge, attitude and practice towards hand washing. Data collection was done by face to face interview using interview-based questionnaire. Data analysis was done using SPSS software version 20.0. Results showed that 50% of the respondents had good knowledge and good attitude while 63.3% had good practice towards hand washing. Post-intervention study showed significant improvement in the total score for knowledge and attitude towards hand washing (pO.05). In conclusion, there is a great need for intensive intervention in order to enhance the practice of hand washing among the respondents

This study is about the relationship between innovation competency and innovation performance among TSME in Terengganu. In order to improve innovation performance, there is an emphasis on leadership competency, owner attributes competency, and networking competency. A quantitative study is used to accomplish this research. Simple random sampling is used and responses from 379 respondents are collected. To analyze all the data, descriptive analysis, reliability testing, and Pearson correlation are used. The results support all the variables. This research contributes to determinants of the relationship between innovation competency and innovation performance among TSME in Terengganu. This research and data can be used by industry stakeholders to provide a better experience by determining the association between innovation competency and innovation performance among TSME in Terengganu

DNA barcoding and genetic variation in caged pangasiids in Pahang River Basin

The domestication aquaculture selection in farm environment can cause changes in phenotype and genotype of farmed fishes, which may later influence the demographic structure of wild populations if they accidentally escaped from cages. This is an alarming situation for conservation of native species of Pangasius sp. in Pahang River. Hence, the present study was aimed to investigate genetic variation among the fishes collected from different cages from Pahang River. We adopted conventional taxonomical approach to identify species and cross-examined using universal barcode gene Cytochrome Oxydase Subunit 1 (COX1) gene. Samples were collected from 6 commercial cages from Pahang River. Haplotype and genetic diversity among the fishes from different cages were determined. Results from Neighbor Joining tree showed that most of the samples were identified to be Pangasianodon hypothalamus despite having different morphometric character. This study also revealed that most of the caged Pangasius cultured in Pahang River are exotic and non-native to Malaysia. Thus, a continuous monitoring through studies on genetic variation of Pangasius sp. is an essential need for the sustainable development of this endangered fishes in Pahang River

Potent halogenated xanthone derivatives: synthesis, molecular docking and study on antityrosinase activity

Tyrosinase inhibitors can reduce melanin production for skin whitening, but some existing products may harm the skin. This study discovered six compounds that inhibit tyrosinase in the mushroom Agaricus bisporus by over 50%. Compound 11 displayed strong inhibition (92.2% and 86.7%) for L-tyrosine and L-DOPA substrates, while compound 13 showed high inhibition (96.0% and 62.0%) for both substrates. Molecular docking simulations revealed compounds 11 and 13 bind at the allosteric site of the enzyme. Xanthone derivatives, based on these findings, hold potential as safe skin whitening agents and for pigmentation-related diseases in the cosmetic industry.</p
