Conformal mapping of unbounded multiply connected regions onto canonical slit regions
We present a boundary integral equation method for conformal mapping of unbounded multiply connected regions onto five types of canonical slit regions. For each canonical region, three linear boundary integral equations are constructed from a boundary relationship satisfied by an analytic function on an unboundedmultiply connected region. The integral equations are uniquely solvable. The kernels involved in these integral equations are the modified Neumann kernels and the adjoint generalized Neumann kernels
Controlling the quantum computational speed
The speed of quantum computation is investigated through the time evolution
of the speed of the orthogonality. The external field components for classical
treatment beside the detuning and the coupling parameters for quantum treatment
play important roles on the computational speed. It has been shown that the
number of photons has no significant effect on the speed of computation.
However, it is very sensitive to the variation in both detuning and the
interaction coupling parameters.Comment: 9 pages, 10 figure
Tuna livebaits
The fishery, biology and dynamics of livebaits used in the tuna
pole and line fishery are discussed based on earlier and current
work. Their catch in Minicoy showed interannual variation with an
average of 7569 kg and CPUE of 2.5 kg. Clupeids dominated forming
39.5% followed by caesionids[32. l%).apogonids(22.5%} and
pomacentrids(5.6%). At Agatti, the mean catch was 52 tonnes with
a CPUE of 14 kg comprised exclusively of Spratelloides delicatulus.
Biological characteristics such as size, food and feeding,
sex-ratio,size at first maturity, spawning and fecundity,
length-weight relationship etc of dominant species are given. Stock
assessment studies on S. delicatulus and Archamia fucata indicated
their over exploitation. Various measures for management and
conservation of the resources along with future research priorities
are indicated
Impact of identity politics on education in Pakistan: a comparison between Balochistan and Punjab
This research paper examines the impact of ethnic identity based politics on education in Pakistan through in-depth interviews with young professionals from Balochistan and Punjab. Findings suggest that there is the Punjabi-dominated power structure results in an unequal allocation of financial resources, whereby Balochistan lacks the financial resources to invest in education development. In addition, political instability caused by unprecedented ethnic strife contributes towards poor quality education, which, as a result, adversely impacts a Balochi's future course of life. On the other hand, Punjabis are at an advantage in the public arena because of their robust educational foundation
A Systematic Review of the Selected Evidences on the Effectiveness of Inter-professional Education (IPE) in Developing Interprofessional Learning Environment
Purpose: This systematic review aimed to provide available evidence in determining for the effectiveness of IPE as a modality in developing interprofessional learning environment for healthcare students. Methods: The computerized searches from 2009-2015 in ten electronic databases were performed. Two independent reviewers were consulted to assess the eligibility, level of evidences and methodological quality in each study. Result: nine out of ten studies were retrieved. These studies include (a) two RCT studies; scored eight and seven out of eight, (b) Three quasi-experimental pretestposttest design; scored seven, six, and six out of eight, (c) Three controlled before and after study; scored six, six, five and five out of eight, and (d) one controlled longitudinal; scored six out of eight respectively. Conclusion: Based on the systematic review, evidence showed that IPE was effective in building strong interprofessional learning environment. On the other hand, the authors recommend considering conduct of similar systematic review grounded on IPE with larger sample size within the health allied discipline
U-Pb geochronology of the El Jadida rhyolite and relation to possible Lower Cambrian recycling (Coastal block, Moroccan Meseta).
The El Jadida (Mazagan) dome, whose existence was reported as early as 1934 by
Yovanovitch and Freys, constitutes one of the first outcrops of the Moroccan Meseta where
the Precambrian (PIII?)-Paleozoic (Lower Cambrian?) boundary was established (Gigout,
1951; Cornée et al., 1984). Since then, it is listed as one of the few locations where the
basement of the Moroccan Variscan belt can be observed (Hoepffner et al.. 2005; Michard et
al., 2010).Despite, the absence of geochronological and biostratigraphic precise data to
constrain the time interval recorded here, there are stratigraphic similarities that allow a
correlation with the Ediacaran-Cambrian geological record of Anti-Atlas belt (Cornée et al.,
1984). In this study, we developed a petrographic, geochemical and U-Pb geochronological
study using zircon extracted from: (i) the El Jadida rhyolite with the aim of characterizing the magma source and estimate the age of crystallization; (ii) a microbreccia sampled at the base
of the El Jadida Dolomitic Formation for determining provenance
On the landing of bowmouth guitar fish Rhina ancylostoma at Visakhapatnam Harbour.
A small mechanized trawler which operated at a depth of 60 to 90 m landed a guitarfish identified as Rhina ancylostoma (Class : Elasmobranchii, Order : Rajiformes, Family : Rhinobatidae) at Vishakhapatnam Harbour On 15 July 2004,. The specimen had the characteristic spiky thorns over the eyes and on the back and shoulders with numerous white spots dorsally on fins, body and tail. The specimen landed is probably immature. The morphometric measurements of the specimen are described in this paper
Operating Cash Flow, Earning Response Coefficient, and Fixed Asset Revaluation: Study on Manufacturing Company
The purpose of this study to determine the effect of operating cash flow to the abnormal return and the effect of operating cash flow to the abnormal return of companies that conduct the revaluation is higher than that of non revaluation which adopted SFAS No. 16 (2012). The analysis used in this study are multiple regression, for the period 2012-2015. The results showed that operating cash flow has no effect on non-sampled companies revaluation, while the sample of firms that perform revaluation proves that operating cash flow has a positive and significant impact on the abnormal return. Moreover, the effect of revaluation policy can strengthen the influence between operating cash flow to the firm abnormal return than non revaluation.DOI: 10.15408/etk.v16i1.482
