Signless Laplacian Estrada index of a graph GG, defined as SLEE(G)=∑i=1neqiSLEE(G)=\sum^{n}_{i=1}e^{q_i}, where q1,q2,⋯ ,qnq_1, q_2, \cdots, q_n are the eigenvalues of the matrix Q(G)=D(G)+A(G)\mathbf{Q}(G)=\mathbf{D}(G)+\mathbf{A}(G). We determine the unique graphs with maximum signless Laplacian Estrada indices among the set of graphs with given number of cut edges, pendent vertices, (vertex) connectivity and edge connectivity.Comment: 14 pages, 3 figure

Aims: Today a large number of patients hospitalized in Intensive Care Unit need mechanical ventilation via an artificial air way. Since these patients have endotracheal tube, endotracheal suctioning is necessary for increasing oxygenation, cleaning the airway and keeping it open. But this method consists of various side effects such as increased blood pressure and heart rate and respiratory rate, cyanosis, dizziness and increased intracranial pressure and hypoxia. This study aimed at comparing the effect of using normal saline serum, N-acetyl cysteine and not using them in endotracheal suctioning on physiologic parameters and the amount of secretions in intubated patients under mechanical ventilation. Material & Methods: It was a controlled clinical trial study with random allocation that was performed on 54 intubated patients hospitalized in ICU of health educational centers of Babol Medical Sciences University in 2014. Endotracheal tube suctioning was performed for each patient once without saline, the second time with 3 ml of normal saline and the third time with 2 ml of N-acetyl cysteine. Blood pressure, Heart rate, Respiratory rate, Arterial oxygen saturation were measured and recorded before each stage of suctioning and two and five minutes after that. Amount of secretions was measured after each method of suctioning. Data were analyzed by SPSS16 statistical software, variance analysis with repeated measures, ANOVA and paired t statistical tests. Results: Blood pressure, Heart rate and Respiratory rate were increased after suction in all the three groups, but these changes were higher in the group that received normal saline. Mean decrease of Arterial oxygen saturation was more in the method of receiving normal saline (p<0.05). The amount of secretion was more in the method of receiving N-acetyl cysteine (p=0.004). Conclusions: Endotracheal tube suctioning by using normal saline had more adverse effects on post- suction physiological parameters in compare with the other two methods. Therefore, it is recommended to not use normal saline in endotracheal tube suctioning to the possible extent, and if removing secretions is required, endotracheal N_acetyl cysteine should be used according to the patient's condition

To assess the genetic relations inPisum genus and to examine putative duplicate accessions, 20 pea varieties (Pisum sativum L.) with 57 accessions from wild Pisum species fulvum, subspecies (subsp.) asiaticum, elatius, thebaicum, abyssinicum, transcaucasicum and arvense were analyzed using 10 out of 20 microsatellite primer pairs. We genotyped all accessions. In total, 59 alleles were identified in whole collection. The maximum number of alleles (8 alleles) was obtained from the PEACPLHPP, AF004843, and AA43090 loci. The maximum number of private alleles (4) in the wild collection was detected in AF004843 locus but in the cultivar collection, it was detected in AA430902 and PSBLOX13.2 loci. Cluster analysis and principal coordinate analysis located accessions in 3 groups and cultivated varieties were obviously separated from the wild accessions. Analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) revealed that the intergroups component of variance (29%) is lower than the intragroups component of variance (71%). The lowest value of genetic differentiation ( Pisum genus and to examine putative duplicate accessions, 20 pea varieties (Pisum sativum L.) with 57 accessions from wild Pisum species fulvum, subspecies (subsp.) asiaticum, elatius, thebaicum, abyssinicum, transcaucasicum and arvense were analyzed using 10 out of 20 microsatellite primer pairs. The lowest value of genetic differentiation (PT = 0.27) of pair wise collections between wild and variety collections, was detected in ssp. elatius. Assignment test on the basis of log-likelihood to estimate the likelihood that an individual belongs to a given group, showed that 96% of accessions being assigned correctly to their groups. This study showed that genetic probability profiles of accessions can corroborate clustering analyses while providing additional information as a powerful tool for assigning accessions into their related groups

The effect of reflexotherapy and massage therapy on vital signs and stress before coronary angiography: An open-label clinical trial

Abstract BACKGROUND: Complementary medicine interventions are now successfully used to reduce stress as well as to stabilize hemodynamic indices within different procedures. The present study aimed to examine the effect of massage therapy and reflexotherapy on reducing stress in patients before coronary angiography. METHODS: In this open-label clinical trial, 75 consecutive patients who were candidate for coronary angiography were randomly assigned to receive reflexotherapy (n = 25), or massage therapy (n = 25), or routine care (n = 25) before angiography. The Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory was used to determine the stress level of patients before and after interventions and vital signs were also measured. RESULTS: Improvement in diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate was shown in the reflexotherapy group, and similar effects were observed following other interventions including massage therapy and routine resting program. In subjects who received reflexotherapy the level of stress decreased slightly compared with the other two groups. However, following interventions the level of stress in reflexotherapy group was shown to be lower than other study groups. CONCLUSION: Reflexotherapy before coronary angiography can help to stabilize vital sign as well as reduce the level of stress. The effect of massage therapy was limited to reducing stress

Ultra-Porous Nanoparticle Networks: A Biomimetic Coating Morphology for Enhanced Cellular Response and Infiltration

Orthopedic treatments are amongst the most common cause of surgery and are responsible for a large share of global healthcare expenditures. Engineering materials that can hasten bone integration will improve the quality of life of millions of patients per year and reduce associated medical costs. Here, we present a novel hierarchical biomimetic coating that mimics the inorganic constituent of mammalian bones with the aim of improving osseointegration of metallic implants. We exploit the thermally-driven self-organization of metastable core-shell nanoparticles during their aerosol self-assembly to rapidly fabricate robust, ultra-porous nanoparticle networks (UNN) of crystalline hydroxyapatite (HAp). Comparative analysis of the response of osteoblast cells to the ultra-porous nanostructured HAp surfaces and to the spin coated HAp surfaces revealed superior osseointegrative properties of the UNN coatings with significant cell and filopodia infiltration. This flexible synthesis approach for the engineering of UNN HAp coatings on titanium implants provides a platform technology to study the bone-implant interface for improved osseointegration and osteoconduction

The present study aimed to evaluate the relationship between internet addiction disorder and mental health among University students of Medical Sciences in Khalkhal. Instrument & Methods: As a descriptive-analytical research, this study conducted on 428 university students in Khalkhal who were studying the Medical Sciences in 2015. The instrument used in this study was a three-part questionnaire; the first part included the demographic characteristics of the participants; the second part was Young Internet Addiction Test and the third part consisted of General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28). Sampling was done randomly. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software. Descriptive statistics, Pierson correlation, and multiple linear regression were used to analysis the data. Findings: 77.3 of the participants had no internet addiction, 21.7 were at the risk of internet addiction and 0.9 suffered from internet addiction. Moreover, there was a significant relationship between the mental health and internet addiction disorder (p<0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the internet addiction and mental health of students
