Performance analysis of 802.11ac with frame aggregation using NS3

    Get PDF
802.11ac is an interesting standard of IEEE bringing multiple advantages than its predecessor 802.11n. 802.11ac is faster and more scalable version of 802.11n offering the capabilities of wireless Gigabit Ethernet. 802.11ac will enable access points (AP) to support more STAs with a better experience for clients and more channel bonding increasing from a maximum of 40 MHz with 802.11n up to 80 or 160 MHz with 802.11ac standard. In this paper, we analyze and evaluate the 802.11ac performance using NS3 simulator (v3.26) relying on several features like channel bonding, modulation and coding schemes, guard interval and frame aggregation. Then, we present the effect of the variation of distance between STAs and AP on the network performance in term of throughput. Finally, we capture the most relevant simulations outcomes and we indicate some research challenges for the future work

Kata Kunci : Brand image, loyalitas pelanggan, Speedy Telkom This study aimed to evaluate the impact of Brand Image Speedy Telkom to loyality of customer in Kecamatan Banyumanik Semarang. Data for this research is collected by giving the questionnaire to 100 customer of Speedy Telkom in Kecamatan Banyumanik, Semarang. Data will be processed using SPSS software 17.0. Result of data processing show us that, simultaneously, there is a positive influence of brand image speedy Telkom which consisting of the advantages of brand association, strength of brand association, and uniqueness of brand association on customer loyalty of speedy Telkom in Kecamatan Banyumanik, Semarang. Partially, the strength of the brand asosociation have greater significant influence on customer loyalty of speedy Telkom in Kecamatan Banyumanik, Semarang, compared with the influence of advantage and uniqueness of brand association

Effects of Ursolic Acid and its Analogues on Soybean 15-Lipoxygenase Activity and the Proliferation Rate of A human Gastric Tumour Cell Line

The authors have previously isolated and purified ursolic acid from heather flowers (Calluna vulgarts). This terpene was found to inhibit HL-60 leukaemic cell proliferation and arachidonic acid oxidative metabolism in various cell species. The effects of ursolic acid and its analogues on soybean 15-lipoxygenase activity and on the proliferation of a human gastric tumour cell line (HGT), have been assessed. These triterpenes inhibited soybean 15-lipoxygenase at its optimal activity (pH 9). The proliferation ofHGT was decreased in a dose-dependent manner. At 20 ÎĽM the rank order is: ursolic acid > uvaol > oleanolic acid > methyl ursolate. The carboxylic group at the C28 position of ursolic acid appears to be implicated in the inhibition of both lipoxygenase activity and cell proliferation. Thus methylation of this group decreases these two inhibitory properties. Oleanolic acid, which differs by the position of one methyl group (C20 instead of C19) is less inhibitory than ursolic acid. The lipophilicity of the terpene is also implicated since uvaol appears to be more inhibitory than methyl ursolate

Constitutive expression of clathrin hub hinders elicitor-induced clathrin-mediated endocytosis and defense gene expression in plant cells

AbstractEndocytosis has been recently implicated in the signaling network associated with the recognition of microbes by plants. In a previous study, we showed that the elicitor cryptogein was able to induce clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME) in tobacco suspension cells. Herein, we investigate further the induced CME by means of a GFP-tagged clathrin light chain and a CME inhibitor, the hub domain of clathrin heavy chain. Hub constitutive expression does affect neither cell growth nor constitutive endocytosis but abolishes cryptogein-induced CME. Such an inhibition has no impact on early events in the cryptogein signaling pathway but reduces the expression of defense-associated genes

Pola Musiman Dan Antar Tahunan Salinitas Permukaan Laut Di Perairan Utara Jawa-Madura

Watermass of Java Sea is already known having a strongly connection with monsoon system in Indonesian region. Study of temperature valiability for and/or its relation to exploitation of marine and coastal resources have been done by scientists before hand. But the salinity condition is rare to studied, while the characteristic is important to the real life application. The sea surface salinity data archive, is primarily used in this study, is a monthly average within January 1994 – December 2010 by a spatial resolution of 1o x1o. Dataset of wind from ECMWF as a secondary parameter, have been monthly averages both for east-west (zonal) component and north-south (meridional) component, it is derived from 10 meters above sea level within period of January 1994 – December 2010, by a spatial resolution of 2.5o x 2.5o. Descriptive analysis have been done in order to get a complete picture of the SSS seasonal fluctuation. The results shows that SSS in Java Sea having a seasonal variability, which indicated by appearences of two SSS maximum and two SSS minimum annualy. Based on monthly average in the northern part of Java-Madura Seas, the SSS is haveing range of 32,0 PSU – 34,4 PSU. In the first transitional monsoon (Maret-April-Mei), SSS is relatively lower than others, i.e. NW monsoon, SE monsoon, and the second transitional monsoon, where it is found a core low SSS consentrated in the western part of Java Sea and also in south of Makassar strait

SUPPLY CHAIN ROUTING SCHEDULING SUB-MODEL DESIGN: CASE OF EXPORT BULK PORTS

    No full text
International audienceThe integration of planning and scheduling decisions of loading, stacking/scraping, routing and production making up an integrated optimization plan without contradictory goals is vital for an efficient use of the four aforementioned bulk port operations. Usually, the optimization of these decisions is approached in an integrated fashion in one mathematical model. In this paper, we discuss another integration approach using a real case as an illustration. The proposed approach can improve the design phase in optimization problems and avoid the cons of the classical methodology. It can also come up with a number of pros which can be summed up mainly in the ability to design the optimization problems, in such a way to reflect the real aspects of the industrial settings
