On the influence of motion of the medium on the photophoresis of a spheroidal solid aerosol particle
This paper considers the influence of motion of the medium (account of convective terms in the heat conduction equations) on the photophoresis of a large aerosol spheroidal particle at small relative temperature drops in its vicinity. It has been shown that at a fixed ratio of semiaxes with increasing intensity of the incident radiation the total contribution of the medium motion leads to a monotonic decrease in the rate of photophoresis, whose degree depends on the equatorial radius of the spheroidyesBelgorod State Universit
RNase T1 mimicking artificial ribonuclease
Recently, artificial ribonucleases (aRNases)—conjugates of oligodeoxyribonucleotides and peptide (LR)4-G-amide—were designed and assessed in terms of the activity and specificity of RNA cleavage. The conjugates were shown to cleave RNA at Pyr-A and G–X sequences. Variations of oligonucleotide length and sequence, peptide and linker structure led to the development of conjugates exhibiting G–X cleavage specificity only. The most efficient catalyst is built of nonadeoxyribonucleotide of unique sequence and peptide (LR)4-G-NH2 connected by the linker of three abasic deoxyribonucleotides (conjugate pep-9). Investigation of the cleavage specificity of conjugate pep-9 showed that the compound is the first single-stranded guanine-specific aRNase, which mimics RNase T1. Rate enhancement of RNA cleavage at G–X linkages catalysed by pep-9 is 108 compared to non-catalysed reaction, pep-9 cleaves these linkages only 105-fold less efficiently than RNase T1 (kcat_RNase T1/kcat_pep-9 = 105)
The minimal compound-complex sentence hierarchy
This article deals with the problem of the study of the subsystem of such type of the Multiple Compound-Complex Sentence as a minimal compound-complex sentence. The authors analyze the formal structure of the multiple compoundcomplex sentences and try to build up the structural models hierarchy of Minimal Compound-Complex SentenceyesBelgorod State Universit
Plasma hardening of medium carbon steels
The structure, size and hardness of the zone of hardening of pre-annealed steels (30XHMA, 34XH1M, 35XH2Φ, 38XΓH, 40XHMA, 40XH2MA, 45) was studied after treatment with a plasma arc of direct polarity. It was shown that plasma hardening forms a thin layer of martensitic-austenitic structure with variable composition and hardness on the treated steel surface. The zone subjected to hardening was represented by marten site of different dispersion and ferrite veins. Between the quenching zone and the base metal there was a transition zone with a gradient structure of plate perlite and elements of perlite-ferrite base, the share of which was gradually increasing. The structural-phase structure of this zone provided a smooth transition of mechanical properties from the hardened layer to the base metal. Dependences for management of a structural condition, hardness and depth of a zone of hardening were determined. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd
Optical absorption and luminescence studies of fast neutron-irradiated complex oxides for jewellery applications
We studied the optical absorption and luminescence of agate (SiO₂), topaz (Al₂[SiO₄](FOH)₂), beryl (Be₃ Al₂Si₆O₁₈), and prehnite (Ca₂Al(AlSi₃O₁₀)(OH)₂) doped with different concentrations of transition metal ions and exposed to fast neutron irradiation. The exchange interaction between the impurity ions and the defects arising under neutron irradiation causes additional absorption as well as bands' broadening in the crystals. These experimental results allow us to suggest the method for obtaining new radiation-defect induced jewellery colors of minerals due to neutron irradiation
Inclusive education at school: Contradictions and problems of organizing an accessible environment (for example, schools in the Russian Federation)
The system of Russian school education is moving from a medical understanding of disability to a social one - a model of social inclusion. The purpose of the article: to investigate the contradictions in development and the current state of the accessible educational environment in inclusive and mass schools, as well as in specialized schools with adaptive programs. To collect and analyze the databases, a qualitative strategy was used a series of semi-formalized interviews, the objects of which were both teachers of inclusive, correctional and mass schools, and parents raising children with disabilities (for example, Yekaterinburg). There are fixed contradictions and problems in the implementation of inclusive education: the incompetence of teachers (discriminatory attitudes, psychological unreadiness), methodological insecurity, the content of continuing education programs and professional retraining of teachers without taking into account the needs of the educational institution; lack of continuity of preschool and school education (system of preparing children with disabilities for school). The importance of the conceptual restructuring of the inclusion system in the Russian school was established taking into account the value component (tolerant attitudes of both children, parents and the entire teaching staff; psychological readiness for communication and interaction), rather than infrastructural. © 2019 LLC Ecological Help.
