Performance of the Fully Digital FPGA-based Front-End Electronics for the GALILEO Array
In this work we present the architecture and results of a fully digital Front
End Electronics (FEE) read out system developed for the GALILEO array. The FEE
system, developed in collaboration with the Advanced Gamma Tracking Array
(AGATA) collaboration, is composed of three main blocks: preamplifiers,
digitizers and preprocessing electronics. The slow control system contains a
custom Linux driver, a dynamic library and a server implementing network
services. The digital processing of the data from the GALILEO germanium
detectors has demonstrated the capability to achieve an energy resolution of
1.53 per mil at an energy of 1.33 MeV.Comment: 5 pages, 6 figures, preprint version of IEEE Transactions on Nuclear

Determination of lifetimes of nuclear excited states using the Recoil Distance Doppler Shift Method in combination with magnetic spectrometers
The current work presents the determination of lifetimes of nuclear excited states using the Recoil Distance Doppler Shift Method, in combination with spectrometers for ion identification, normalizing the intensity of the peaks by the ions detected in the spectrometer as a valid technique that produces results comparable to the ones obtained by the conventional shifted-to-unsifted peak ratio method. The technique has been validated using data measured with the -ray array AGATA, the PRISMA spectrometer and the Cologne plunger setup. In this paper a test performed with the AGATA-PRISMA setup at LNL and the advantages of this new approach with respect to the conventional Recoil Distance Doppler Shift Method are discussed
Electromagnetic transitions and structure in the Z = N nucleus 46 V
The nucleus 46V has been studied in the reaction 24Mg(28Si,apn) 46V at 115 MeV beam energy, using both Au and Pb backed targets. Lifetimes were obtained for 14 levels with DSAM analysis. Experimental B (E2) reduced transition probabilities are well reproduced by the large scale shell model. The observed levels could be organizied in bands with a rather good

Exploring the performance of the spectrometer prisma in heavy zirconium and xenon mass regions
We present results from two recent runs which illustrate the performance of the PRISMA spectrometer in the proximity of the upper limit of its operational interval, namely 96Zr + 124Sn at Elab = 500 MeV and 136Xe + 208Pb at Elab = 930 MeV. In the latter run, the γ array CLARA also allowed us to identify previously unknown γ transitions in the nuclides 136Cs and 134I
β decay of semi-magic 130Cd: Revision and extension of the level scheme of 130 In
A. Jungclaus et al.; 8 págs.; 5 figs.; 3 tabs. The β decay of the semi-magic nucleus Cd130 has been studied at the RIBF facility at the RIKEN Nishina Center. The high statistics of the present experiment allowed for a revision of the established level scheme of In130 and the observation of additional β feeding to high-lying core-excited states in In130. The experimental results are compared to shell-model calculations employing a model space consisting of the full major N=50-82 neutron and Z=28-50 proton shells and the NA-14 interaction, and good agreement is found. ©2016 American Physical SocietyWe thank the staff of the RIKEN Nishina Center accelerator

Natural Diagonal Riemannian Almost Product and Para-Hermitian Cotangent Bundles
We obtain the natural diagonal almost product and locally product structures
on the total space of the cotangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold. We find
the Riemannian almost product (locally product) and the (almost) para-Hermitian
cotangent bundles of natural diagonal lift type. We prove the characterization
theorem for the natural diagonal (almost) para-K\"ahlerian structures on the
total spaces of the cotangent bundle.Comment: 10 pages, will appear in Czechoslovak Mathematical Journa
