Ontology-Based Sentence Extraction for Answering Why-Question

    Get PDF
Most studies on why-question answering system usually   used   the   keyword-based   approaches.   They   rarely involved domain ontology in capturing the semantic of the document contents, especially in detecting the presence of the causal relations. Consequently, the word mismatch problem usually  occurs  and  the  system  often  retrieves  not  relevant answers. For solving this problem, we propose an answer extraction method by involving the semantic similarity measure, with selective causality detection. The selective causality detection is  applied  because  not  all  sentences  belonging  to  an  answer contain  causality.  Moreover,   the   motivation  of  the  use  of semantic similarity measure in scoring function is to get more moderate results about the presence of the semantic annotations in a sentence, instead of 0/1. The semantic similarity measure employed is based on the shortest path and the maximum depth of the ontology graph. The evaluation is conducted by comparing the proposed method against the comparable ontology-based methods, i.e., the sentence extraction with Monge-Elkan with 0/1 internal similarity function. The proposed method shows the improvements in  term of  MRR (16%, 0.79-0.68), P@1  (15%, 0.76-0.66), P@5 (14%, 0.8-0.7), and Recall (19%, 0.86-0.72)

Phase diagram of the mixed spin Ising model with four-spin interaction and nextnearest neighbor couplings

The phase diagrams of the ferromagnetic two-dimensional mixed spin-1 and spin-1/2 Ising model with four-spin interaction J4 and next-nearest couplings J’ are investigated by the use of the finite cluster approximation based on single-site cluster theory. The state equations are derived for the two-dimensional square lattice. The phase diagram is qualitatively and quantitatively different from that obtained when the interaction J’ is ignored. In fact, the system exhibits a variety of interesting features resulting from the introduction of the next-nearest neighbor interaction (NNN). It undergoes two kinds of behavior according to the negative and the positive value of J’. In particular, for J4/J2=-4, the system keeps the coexistence of the two ground state up to J’-dependent finite temperature

The population density in the city of Semarang cause a variety of problems, one of which is the bottleneck. BRT Trans Semarang is one government program to tackle the issue. This study aims to determine the effect of quality of service, tariffs and facilities for passenger satisfaction Trans Semarang BRT corridor II. Data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires, while the sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 100. The data was analyzed through the validity, reliability, product moment correlation, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and F. test quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS version 20. The results showed that the quality of service, rates and facilities significant effect on passenger satisfaction BRT corridor II Trans Semarang partially. And quality of service, rates and facilities significant effect on passenger satisfaction Trans Semarang BRT corridor II simultaneously. Trans Semarang service quality BRT Corridor II should be improved. Enhancement can be done by increasing the number of buses, improve the quality of shelter, improving the quality of human resources through training and extending the hours of service that passengers feel comfortable and satisfied when using BRT transportation services Trans Semarang

Forecasting is an attempt to predict what happens in the future, while forecasting demand is an effort that is expected to be realized for a certain period in the future. Distributors difficult forecasting product demand needs of the estimated number of the retailer, the Distributor does not have given an overview of the extent of the need for the required product request is recorded. Therefore, the need for forecasting system that is capable of working on the need for the number of requests the retailer so that for information between the two in order to give the necessary information. The way to resolve problems that occur in this research is to predict demand for the retailer's needs by using the method of Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) Holt by considering certain factors. The conclusion of this research that a demand forecasting using DES holt obtained from the accuracy in identifying data, where the data to be continuously experience the trend up or down. Results of the research by using DES Holt method on both retailers have a value different of α(alpha), γ (gamma) and the smallest value of MSE. At retailer 1 produces a value α (alpha) = 0.9, the γ(gamma) = 0.1, while the retailer 2 produces a value α (alpha) = 0.9, γ (gamma) = 0.2

This study aimed to examine and analyze the implementation of corporate social responsibility as a legal obligation for plantation companies in Seluma Regency carried out by PTPN VII of Padang Pelawi Business Unit. The type of this study was juridical empirical with descriptive research design. The results of this study indicated that the implementation of CSR by PTPN VII of Padang Pelawi Business Unit had been carried out with the Partnership and Community Development Program (known as PKBL in Indonesian abbreviation) based on the State-Owned Enterprise Ministerial Regulation Number: 09/MBU/07/2015 concerning the Partnership and Community Development Program for State-Owned Enterprises and its amended regulations. However, it had not been running optimally. Matters that need to be revised and improved besides continuing to implement the PKBL program that have been carried out were continue to enhance other CSR activities, especially those related to efforts to improve community welfare by increasing business capital assistance in the Partnership Program, and to provide access to information as well as to establish communication with the community so that CSR objectives can be more optimal

Tax has an important role in Indonesia, considering the governments national development requires relatively large funds. The taxation system in Indonesia are depending on how Tax payers are being active on fulfilling the obligation of taxation, the requiring a high compliance. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect taxing socialization, service of tax authorities, tax payers knowledge of tax laws, tax perception of corruption, and tax penalties against tax compliance. The population in this study is the individual taxpayers listed on KPP Pratama Pekanbaru Senapelan. The sampling technique using convenience sampling method and determination of sample size in this study was calculated by using the formula of slovin obtained by 100 respondents. The data of this research is using primary data directly through a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS 20. The data were analyzed to test the hypothesis using multiple linear regression analysis approach. The results of this study show that service of tax authorities, tax payers knowledge of tax laws, tax perception of corruption, tax penalties have effect on tax compliance with significant rate 5 % (b2=0,398, b3=0,346, b4=0,233, b5=0,389).. Viceversa taxing socialization has no effect regarding on tax compliance with significant rate 5 % (b1=0,085).Keywords: Socialization, service, knowledge, penalties, complianc
