Effect of rotary swaging on the structure, mechanical characteristics and aging behavior of Cu-0.5%Cr-0.08%Zr alloy
A study of the effect of rotary swaging on the microstructure and properties of the pre-extruded and pre-quenched Cu-0.5%Cr-0.08%Zr alloy was performe
Modification of biocorrosion and cellular response of magnesium alloy WE43 by multiaxial deformation
The study shows that multiaxial deformation (MAD) treatment leads to grain refinement in magnesium alloy WE43. Compared to the initial state, the MAD-processed alloy exhibited smoother biocorrosion dynamics in a fetal bovine serum and in a complete cell growth medium. Examination by microCT demonstrated retardation of the decline in the alloy volume and the Hounsfield unit value
The influence of ultrafine-grained structure on the mechanical properties and biocompatibility of austenitic stainless steels
In this study, equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) of austenitic 316L and Cr-Ni-Ti stainless steels was carried out. Effect of ECAP at 400 °C on the evolution of the microstructure, mechanical properties, and biocompatibility of these steels was investigate
Microstructure and mechanical properties of AISi 304l austenitic stainless steel processed by various schedules of rolling
The paper studies various rolling schedules implemented at 500°С (incl. direct, reverse, and cross rolling) and their effect on the structure formation and mechanical properties in AISI 304L stainless steel samples. Both TEM and SEM research techniques were applied. An ultrafine grain-subgrain microstructure was found to be formed inside elongated original grains. Rolling-processed microstructural elements were close in their size with the minimum value observed after a reverse rolling (240 nm
Экспрессия интерлейкина-6 человека и его вирусного гомолога в ткани рака предстательной железы
Human interleukin-6 (IL-6) is of considerable importance in the pathogenesis of prostate cancer (PC). Prostatic cells are also known to be a reservoir for human herpesvirus 8 type (HHV-8). Due to the findings that HHV-8 had a homologue of human IL-6, viral IL-6, it seemed interesting to study the expression of these two cytokines in the tumor tissue of patients with PC. The expression of IL-6 mRNA was found in 70% of the patients. That of viral IL-6 was not detected in this disease. Nevertheless, a genetic HHV-8 material was ascertained in the tumor tissue of 2 patients with PC.

Texture development and grain refinement of interstitial-free (IF) steel as a function of ideal simple shear or torsion was undertaken for up to 8 pressings, Route BC. Dominant texture components evolved after a single pass and remained correspondent for all subsequent passes. End-cycle (4 and 8 pass) orientation distribution functions (ODFs) showed an increased spread of contour levels and the re-appearance of texture components similar to the 0-pass condition. Rotation of torsion components away from their ideal pole figure (PF) orientations increased at mid-cycle and decreased to almost equivalent levels after end-cycle passes. This is attributed to the principle slip directions of BCC structures aligning with the shear direction
