    IMPLEMENTATION OF REACT LEARNING MODEL ON SECOND YEAR STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT LEARNING OF SMPN 3 SINGOSARI IN MATERIAL PRESSURE

    This study aims to see the high level of learning achievement of second year students of SMPN 3 Singosari using the REACT learning model compared to the discovery learning model on material pressure and its application in everyday life. The problem experienced by students in understanding material pressure material that is abstract is one of the factors that influence the low learning achievement. Students also have difficulty connecting their concepts with real-world phenomena. Therefore, we need a meaningful learning reform to improve learning achievement. One of the reforms is to choose a contextual learning model REACT to overcome these problems. The quasi-experimental method was used for this study, with the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design in the experimental class and the control class. The research population is second year students of SMPN 3 Singosari 2018/2019 academic year consisting of 9 classes. The technique for sampling in this study is purposive sampling. The sample chosen to be the subject of the study is SMPN 3 Singosari students in the 2018/2019 academic year class VIII I as an experimental class and class VIII H as a control class, with 31 students per class. Analysis of students' initial abilities through pretest results, while high or not student achievement is seen through posttest. The T test gives the results of > = 2.3057 > 1.6706, which indicates an inequality in learning achievement, between students learning through REACT and conventional learning models. After that, Tukey test was conducted to produce the value of > = 3.289 > 2.89, higher learning achievement using the REACT model compared to conventional models. The REACT model is effective as an effort to solve the problem of low learning achievement

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika pada materi suhu dan kalor dilihat dari kemampuan awal siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas X SMA Negeri 10 Malang semester genap tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Sampel terdiri atas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Kelas eksperimen belajar menggunakan Inkuiri terbimbing dan kelas kontrol belajar menggunakan Pembelajaran Konvensional. Pembelajaran dilakukan pada materi suhu dan kalor. Data yang didapatkan dianalisis menggunakan Analisis varian dua Jalur. Pengaruh pembelajaran diuji dengan uji Tukey. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada pengaruh kemampuan awal siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah serta kemampuan memecahkan masalah Fisika kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol.     : This study aimed to examine the effect of the ECIRR learning model on physics concept acquisition in terms of students' prior knowledge. This study was a quasy-experimental using 2 x 2 factorial design. The population was a student of XII graders in SMKN 1 Prajekan Bondowoso. The samples was determined by random sampling method, and obtained XII AP-2 and XII MM-1 classes as an experimental group, and XII AP-1 and MM-2 classes as a control group. The data were analyzed with two way anova statistical test. The results showed that there are differences on the physics concept acquisition between students who learn by ECIRR learning models and cognitive conflict models, ther are differences on the physics concept acquisition between students with high and low level of prior knowledge, and there are effect of interaction learning model (ECIRR and cognitive conflict learning models) and the prior knowledge on the physics concept acquisition

    The goal of Learning Basic Chemistry 1 is to help students comprehend the notion of chemistry and how it relates to circumstances, daily life, and technology. It adopts the vision and methodology of SETS. With this effort, students gain literacy in science, environment, technology, and society needed in the present and the future. In blended learning, time and location restrictions during field lectures are removed for both students and lecturers by using Skype. The development research is produced in the form of YouTube channels and vlogs, which are the current features of digital learning. Increasing students' comprehension of chemistry in SETS by exposing them to it as a science and allowing them to engage with it directly is another significant benefit of SETS learning

    ANALISIS PROGRAM IMPLEMENTASI GERAKAN LITERASI SEKOLAH (GLS) DENGAN PENDEKATAN GOAL-BASED EVALUATION

    Literacy skills are one of the basic skills of the 21st century. These skills become the basis of other skills, such as the ability to understand information analytically, critically, and reflectively. The School Literacy Movement (GLS) is one of the government's efforts to improve students' literacy skills. One of the programs is reading habituation 15 minutes before learning. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of GLS program in schools, obstacles, and feedback related to improvement of GLS program implementation. This research uses evaluation method of Goal-Based Evaluation in analyzing GLS program. Respondents from this study are all school communities consisting of principals, teachers, employees, and students all over Indonesia who are willing to fill in google-form which contains questionnaires related to the implementation of GLS. The results of the evaluation indicate that 81.6% said that the GLS program has been implemented in the respondent's school, the reading habituation of 15 minutes in the school is in accordance with the national objectives, and 100% of respondents suggested that this activity should be continued with various inputs

    The Diagnosis of Senior High School Class X Mia B Students Misconceptions About Hydrostatic Pressure Concept Using Three-tier

    One of the main problems in physics is the emergence of students\u27 misconceptions which comes from the prejudices of false starts and a naive belief. Many studies have shown that students tend to have developed their own understanding before the formal teaching is done. The ideas which are developed by students which are different from the explanations by the experts are known as misconceptions. The initial idea that has been formed by the students is very difficult to change by the teachers although the materials are presented with scientific concepts. Misconceptions diagnosis research on the hydrostatic pressure concept was conducted on 23 students of class X MIA B SMAN 3 Malang using Three-tier test. The diagnosis results that the students get misconceptions on the indicators, it explain the hydrostatic pressure is influenced by the depth and at all points located in the horizontal area in the calm liquid has the same hydrostatic pressure, and the hydrostatic pressure is proportional to the density of the fluid, include 1) students believe that hydrostatic pressure is greater at a point closer to the closed cavity (43.5%), 2) the students believe that the hydrostatic pressure is proportional to the density of the submerged object (30.4%), 3) the students believe that the hydrostatic pressure is greater on the outside of the cave because it has a larger volume of fluid so that the pressure is higher (17.4%), 4) students had misconceptions in determining the depth in case of hydrostatic pressure (13%), 5) the students believe that the hydrostatic pressure is greater in the narrow place (13%)

    Teachers are still difficult to implement on the aspects of attitude, especially during the assessment and processing of assessment results. Development research aims to produce practical assessment tool, valid, and reliable. The study was based on ADDIE development model implemented five steps of analysis, design, development, application, and evaluation. The results of the evaluation expert validation obtained by percentage of 80%, which means it has a high validity, while the practicality of the product 92% included in the criteria very practical.     Modelling instruction effect with different reasoning ability on physics conceptual understanding by controlling the prior knowledge

    Modelling instruction is systematic instructional activity for constructing and applying scientific knowledge in Physics lesson. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of Modelling instruction with different reasoning abilities on understanding physical concepts by controlling students’ prior knowledge. This research used experimental method with 2x2 factorial design with two Modelling instruction classes and two conventional classes with a total of 176 students. The instrument used was reasoning ability test, prior knowledge test, and physics concept test. It used LCTSR (Lawson’s Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning) instrument. Prior knowledge test instruments consisted of 25 problems to identify how deep the students understand the topic before they undergo the learning process and physics concept test consisted of 25 problems. Based on the statistical test using two factor Ancova, it proved that there was a significant difference in students’ ability to master the physics concept between using Modelling instruction learning model and using conventional learning model. The result showed that the Modelling instruction increasing conceptual understanding better than conventional learning. There are two important parts in the Modelling instruction that are model development and model deployment. This study also confirms that there are significant differences in understanding the concepts between students of high reasoning ability and low reasoning ability. Students with high reasoning abilities have a better understanding of concepts than students with low reasoning abilities

Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling sehingga terpilih kelas XII AP-2 dan XII MM-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen, serta kelas XII AP-1 dan XII MM-2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan uji statistik anava dua jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep fisika antara kelompok siswa yang belajar melalui model pembelajaran ECIRR dan model konflik kognitif, perbedaan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa antara kelompok siswa memiliki tingkat pengetahuan awal tinggi dan rendah, dan pengaruh interaksi model pembelajaran (model pembelajaran ECIRR dan model konflik kognitif) dan pengetahuan awal terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika siswa.
