    CLIMATE OF ORGANIZATIONAL ETHICS TO BUSINESS SATISFACTION (STUDY OF SME IN SOUTH SULAWESI)

    Organizational ethics plays an important role in shaping a good climate for all members of the organization. The ethical issues concerning to social problem, protection of the rights of employees, public society (social responsibility) and also consumers. The application of ethics in organization raises the employee job satisfaction (seeorganizational justice theory and cognitive dissonance theory). This study was analyzed using multiple regression method by taking the object of research on 350 SME businesses in three regencies, East Luwu, Bone and Tana Toraja in South Sulawesi. This study was focused in three forms, namely egoistic ethical climate, benevolent, and principled ethical climate. The results of the study show that organizational climate is like egoistic ethics climate and benevolence ethical climate the organization does not show positive results on employee job satisfaction. However, the coefficient of egoistic climate has negative influence to job satisfaction. Whereas principled ethical climate shows a positive and significant influence on employee job satisfaction

    The Relationship between Socioeconomic Factors and Household Income Levels in Coastal and Island Communities in South Sulawesi

    Purpose:  This study aims to describe the characteristics of poor households, including age, education, and main occupation, and examine their relationship with the income level of poor households in coastal communities in South Sulawesi.   Theoretical framework: The reality today still shows that these various poverty alleviation programs have not fully addressed the root causes of poverty. In theoretical studies, poverty is rooted in three main factors: individual poverty, cultural and environmental poverty, and structural poverty.   Design/methodology/approach: The research sample consisted of poor individuals living in coastal and island areas in South Sulawesi, with the unit of analysis being poor households. The sample size was 273 people. Descriptive analysis was conducted to determine the general characteristics of poor households, and Chi-Square analysis was used to assess the relationship between social characteristics and income levels.   Findings: Through Chi-Square analysis, it was found that age, education, and main occupation had a significant relationship with family income. Hence,  In poor coastal communities, productive age, education, and occupation are crucial factors in achieving higher family income and maintaining socioeconomic welfare in the future.    Research, Practical & Social implications: The findings have practical implications for policymakers and practitioners working to reduce poverty in coastal communities. The identified factors such as age, education, and occupation can guide targeted interventions, including providing free education and promoting alternative livelihoods beyond traditional occupations.   Originality/value: This study offers valuable insights into the characteristics of poor households in coastal communities in South Sulawesi and their relationship with income levels

    Abstrak Agar dapat berproduksi sesuai dengan kapasitas dan dapat bertahan di era global dengan tingkat persaingan yang lebih kompetitif, perusahaan harus meningkatkan kinerja di lini produksi yang tidak terlepas dari kemampuan manajemen perusahaan dalam mengelola sumber daya perusahaan. Kinerja dan daya saing tergantung pada ketersediaan, keandalan, dan produktivitas fasilitas produksinya sendiri. Overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) adalah suatu metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat efektifitas pemakaian suatu peralatan atau sistem dengan mengikutsertakan beberapa sudut pandang dalam proses perhitungan tersebut. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) dan Lean Manufacturing (LM) meruapakan faktor yang dapat meningkatkan nilai OEE. TPM merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan kinerja kegiatan pemeliharaan atau perawatan peralatan agar tetap dalam kondisi prima dan meminialisir kerusakan. Tujuan penerapan LM adalah untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan menurunkan biaya dengan menghilangkan pemborosan atau aktivitas yang tidak bernilai tambah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh TPM dan LM terhadap OEE di PT. Semen Tonasa. Desain penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan metode regresi berganda untuk mengetahui hubungan variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Jumlah sampel 98 orang dengan menggunakan teknik Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan memberikan kuesioner secara langsung kepada responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TPM dan LM berpengaruh langsung, positif dan signifikan terhadap OEE. Kata Kunci: Total Productive Maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, Overall Equipment Effectiveness
