Al-Wa‘d as Muhallil of Multi Contract (Ambiguity of Applying Al-Wa'd in Modern Transaction)

Wa'd (the unilateral promise) is an alternative for separate multi contract in one transaction and ribâ that are prohibited with Islamic law. The application of this promise faces difficulty because of difference of principle between unilateral promise that is not binding and the business practice that based on rule of law. The fatwa of DSN, in one side, use both unilateral promise (wa'd) and bilateral promise (muwâ'adah), and other side, consider such as binding in case and not binding in other case. This indicates the difficulty for applying wa'd at the modern contract. Fatwa of DSN has tendency on binding the promise, especially uni-lateral promise. The consequence of this binding is the confusion between promise and contract and the perform of both at the transaction.Copyright (c) 2016 by KARSA. All right reserved DOI: 10.19105/karsa.v24i2.100

Testing of Stratified Cluster Sampling Technique to Produce Unbiased Estimator for Parameter of Population

This research is done based on the importance testing of sampling technique before the real survey is done. The aim of this research is to test stratified cluster sampling technique in producing unbiased estimator of population. Based on theory, stratified cluster sampling technique is able to produce unbiased estimator. The reserch method used survey technique where the subjects are the whole the twelveth grade ofSenior High School in lubuklinggau and Musi Rawas. The calculation sample shows that the real number of population is 54,45 % whereas the result of sample is 55,5 %with sampling error 0,0464,therefore the samples have estimated parameter of population accuratly

The extremely popular poetic form from Insular Southeast Asia, the pantun, travelled from its unknown source throughout the Malay Archipelago, first in Malay, then in the languages of Southeast Asia. In the ports and states where they were received, local colour, other idiosyncrasies, references, and linguistic characteristics have been added, and in fact, special forms with special names developed. This basic form is known, composed, and loved in at least 40 dialects of Malay, and 35 non-Malay languages, in the Peninsula and many of the islands of Malaysia and Indonesia. It spread through trade routes, ports, and also via diasporas and colonial economic projects which caused numerous peoples to move, who in turn brought the pantun along with them. It is now the most dynamic single literary form and has the longest history

Delay in financial reporting, a company complaint. Because the investor no longer believes. Therefore, audit delay needs to be addressed. This study aims to analyze and describe audit delay factors. The research method used is quantitative with secondary data. The populations in this study were all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample technique used is purposive with the criteria specified are companies those publish audited financial statements for four consecutive years and use the rupiah currency, so the total number of samples in this study is 100 data. Independent variables in this study are company size, solvability and audit committee, variables dependent in this study is audit delay. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regressions. The results of the analysis show that the solvability variable has a significant effect on audit delay. While the variable size of the company and the audit committee does not have a significant effect on audit dela

A Rare Case of Foreign Body Ingestion, Mimicking as Mesenteric Cyst. "Case Report"

Background: Foreign body ingestion by children is a commonly encountered problem and accounts for a significant emergency visits among pediatric population. Although these ingested foreign bodies pass spontaneously and uneventfully, a subset of such bodies may become trapped in the digestive tract, eventually leading to significant injury. Most of these bodies are radio-opaque and detectable radiologically, but some radio-lucent may become a diagnostic dilemma and subtle management issue. Case Report: We report a case of a one-year girl who presented after accidental ingestion of foreign body with signs and symptoms of acute intestinal obstruction. Initially we were unable to diagnose the cause, but later the radiological investigation suspected a mesenteric cyst. After failure to respond to conservative measures she underwent exploratory laparotomy, and a jelly ball was removed from the gut. The patient had uneventful post-operative recovery and was kept on follow-up for three months without any complication. Conclusion: These patients do not respond to conservative measures and need surgery on an emergency basis. It is likely that if left untreated may have caused Intestinal perforation and irreversible shock. Radiolucent foreign bodies are difficult to diagnose and need high level of suspicion. Need of the hour is to educate the parents to be extra vigilant as “prevention is better than cure”
