    Imla' is a technique that is frequently used in mastering Arabic writing skills. The studens' ability of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Ulum Ujung Pangkah in reading Arabic and memorizing some of the vocabulary is not directly proportional to their knowledge of writing Arabic sentences properly and correctly. This research aims to determine the imla' learning process in fifth grade of MI Darul Ulum, in addition to uncovering the problems experienced during the imla' learning process in class and the solutions from the researcher's perspective. Based on the objectives above, this research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data sources come from students, teachers and worksheets obtained through observation, documentation, and interview techniques. In this case, the researcher acts as the main instrument in collecting data, and then the data is analyzed using interactive descriptive techniques through the stages of data collection, condensation, presentation, and verification. The results of this research indicate that the imla' learning process in fifth grade of MI Darul Ulum has not had a positive impact, this is proven by the minimum learning completeness criteria not being achieved. The existing problems of imla' learning are divided into two, namely linguistic and non-linguistic. Based on the results of classroom observations, this problem can be overcome by increasing the variety of writing letters that are considered difficult into different words, and intensively maintaining student concentration during the learning process

    The reality of learning Arabic listening skills at pesantren-based universities from the perspective of teaching materials

    Abstract This research is motivated by the tendency of pesantren-based universities in Arabic language learning which is still dominated by reading skills rather than listening skills. The aim of this research is to reveal the reality of learning Arabic listening skills in pesantren-based universities from the perspective of teaching materials including the distribution of courses, credit weights, lecturers, textbooks, objectives, methods, media, exercises, and obstacles to the use of teaching materials by students. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach which conducted at Kiai Abdullah Faqih University. Direct observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation were chosen by researchers in collecting data sourced from stakeholders, lecturers and students. The data obtained was then validated using source triangulation techniques and then analyzed using interactive descriptive techniques. The results of this research show that the reality of learning Arabic listening skills in the Arabic language education study program at Kiai Abdullah Faqih University is still not running optimally. This can be seen from the unavailability of special teaching materials for listening skills, which has given rise to several fundamental problems including continuity, interconnectedness, cultural dimensions, and lecturer turnover.     The natural situation and its effective role in designing Arabic listening skills teaching materials for non-native speakers

    There is a phenomenon of decreasing students' tendency and interest in learning listening skills. It is assumed that the underlying cause is the use of teaching materials and learning serial books, which contain several patterns and cultural dimensions that do not have direct contact with the conditions of students and their surroundings, even their academic and social experiences. This study aims to 1) Design teaching materials for the listening skills derived from the students' natural situations and 2) discover their validity and suitability for teaching listening skills in the Department of Arabic Language Education. This study uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) research and development model developed by Reiser and Mollenda. Data collection methods were obtained through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, while the analysis technique used descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of this study are: 1) Natural situation-based teaching materials are designed with a student contextual approach consisting of teacher books and student books, where each book contains thirteen learning themes, each theme includes two learning materials, and each learning material contains audiovisual texts and listening exercises. 2) The Listening Skills teaching materials designed using the natural situation approach were declared valid based on the assessment of two experts with a total score of 94.75%, and the predicate was very good. The teaching material is considered feasible and suitable for improving students' listening skills and arousing their interest based on the value of the questionnaire, which reaches a percentage above 90%. The theoretical conclusion of this study is that using listening skills and teaching materials based on a natural situation is more appropriate and able to attract students' attention and inclinations in the learning process

    Filsafat sering kali diartikulasikan sebuah pemikiran yang mendalam, dan tanpa disadari pemikiran tersebut tidak dapat tersampaikan dan dipahami oleh orang lain tanpa bahasa. Begitu juga tanpa adanya pemikiran, bahasa tidak akan mengalami perkembangan hingga saat ini. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap keterkaitan antara filsafat dan bahasa, serta mengekplorasi konsep bahasa dalam paradigma filsafat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis kajian kepustakaan. Sumber data didapat melalui berbagai literatur yang relevan dengan teknik dokumentasi dan arsip. Adapaun analisisnya menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil Penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bahasa sebagai sarana bagi filsafat untuk alat kominikasi verbal yang dipakai dalam seluruh proses berfikir ilmiah, dan bahasa sendiri dapat menjadi objek kajian filsafat sebagai sebuah pengetahuan (ilmu) yang kemudian melahirkan filsafat bahasa; 2) Terdapat empat konsep bahasa dalam tinjauan paradigma filsafat yang erat kaitanya dengan ilmu bahasa, diantaranya: paradigma linguistik tradisional, paradigma linguistik struktural, paradigma lingusitik fungsional dan paradigma linguistik transformatif generatif

    اتفق علماء التربية في القرن الآواخر على اعتبار قواعد اللغة أساسا في اكتساب المعارف والتعبير عن المعطيات الفكرية والتفاعل المستمر بين الناس وكل ما يحيطه من مجتمع وبيئة وغيرهما. ومن أهم هذه القواعد فهو علم يبحث عن ذات الكلمات العربية المفردة حيث لا يستغي عنه كل دارسي اللغة العربية من الإندونيسيين عصمةً من الخطأ في صوغ الكلام وتأليفه. ولأهمية هذا النوع يسعي هذا البحث المتواضع تسليط الضوء مبينا على تطورات علم الصرف والجوانب يستفاد منها لتعلم اللغة العربية للناطقين بغيرها، يوظف الباحث مدخل البحث الكيفي بنوعه المكتبي وذلك للتعمق على صورة التطورات ومجلات الاستفادة لعلم الصرف، ويتم جمع البيانات عن طريق الوثائق بالاطلاع على الكتب ذات الصلة بالموضوع إضافة إلى توظيف الأسلوب التثليثي لمعالجة النتائج وتحليلها. ويبرز أهم نتائج البحث ما يلي: (١) فقد نشأ علم الصرف متلازما بعلم النحو في بداية الأمر، ثم انفصل منه فصار علما مستقلا فتفصلت مباحثه وله أهمية علمية وعملية أي النظرية والتطبيقية. (٢) ساهم علم الصرف جزأ أكبر لدى دارسي العربية من الإندونيسيين خاصة في تكوين المهارة الإنتاجية ومنها ما يستفاد لمجال الترجمة ولإبداع الكلامي معا. ومن ثم يبرز هذا البحث نتيجة رسيمة حيث إن علم الصرف سيؤثر في تنمية المهارات الإنتاجية إذا استفاده الدارس بأحسن وجه ممكن من أجلها

    مستخلص البحث هناك ظاهرة انحفاض ميول الطلبة واهتمامهم في تعلم مهارة الاستماع، ويتوقع أن يرجع أبزر أسبابه إلى توظيف الكتب والسلاسل التعليمية بما فيها من أبعاد ثقافية لا تخاطب مشاعر الطلبة ولا تحيط بيئتهم ولا تنقل خبراتهم الأكاديمية والاجتماعية. أهداف هذا البحث هي: (١) تصميم مواد تعليم مهارة الاستماع في ضوء التعليم والتعلم السياقي لدى طلبة قسم تعليم اللغة العربية؛ (٢) معرفة مدى صلاحية المواد المصممة في ضوء التعليم والتعلم السياقي لدى طلبة قسم تعليم اللغة العربية؛ (٣) قياس مدى فعالية المواد المصممة في ضوء التعليم والتعلم السياقي لدى طلبة قسم تعليم اللغة العربية. استخدم الباحث منهجية البحث والتطوير في ضوء نموذج بورغ وغال مع التصرف أي اكتفى الباحث بثماني خطوات فحسب. يتم جمع البيانات الكيفية والكمية عن طريق أسلوب الملاحظة والاستبانة والمقابلة والاختبار، بينما كان تحليل البيانات عن طريق التحليل التفاعلى عند ميلاس وهوبرمان والإحصائي (paired sample test) معا. ونتائج هذا البحث هي: (١) تتميز المواد المصممة لتعليم مهارة الاستماع بملامح التعليم والتعلم السياقي. وتتكون من كتاب المعلم وكتاب الطالب والفيديوهات تهم نصوص فهم المسموع، حيث يحتوي كل كتاب على ثلاث عشرة وحدة تعليمية، ولكل وحدة درسان أولهما للتعليم المباشر وثانيهما للتعليم الذاتي، ومع كل درس نصوص فهم المسموع وأنماط تدريباتها التي تختلف بين واحد وآخر؛ (٢) إن المواد المصصمة لتعليم مهارة الاستماع في ضوء التعليم والتعلم السياقي صالحة للتطبيق اعتمادا على نتائج تحكيم الخبراء الثلاثة التي وصلت إلى النسبة المئوية ٩٣،٤ بتقدير جيدة جدا؛ (٣) إن استخدام المواد المصممة فعال لتنمية مهارة الاستماع لدى الطلبة وفقا للحساب الإحصائي حيث إن نتيجة th أكبر من tt وهي 2،65>16.799<2،00. ولهذا يدل على وجود الفروق ذات الدلالة بين الاختبارين. ومن ثم أصبحت الفرضية الصفرية مردودة بينما كانت الفرضية البدلية مقبولة. وتؤكد على الفعالية السابقة نتيجة الاستبانة حيث وصلت إلى النسبة المئوية ٩٨،٨. والنتيجة الجوهرية لهذا البحث هي أن المواد التعليمية المستمدة من المواقف الطبيعية والموضوعات الأقرب بيئة لدى الطلبة تتمكن من تنمية مهارة الاستماع وتحسين التحصيل الدراسي. The aims of this study were: (1) Designing teaching materials for listening skills based on contextual teaching and learning for Arabic Language Education study program students; (2) Determining the validity level of teaching materials for listening skills based on contextual teaching and learning for Arabic Language Education study program students; (3) Measuring the effectiveness level of the use of listening skills teaching materials based on contextual teaching and learning for Arabic Language Education study program students. The researcher uses a research and development methodology based on the Borg and Gall model with a special behavior, namely the researcher uses only eight steps instead of what he should. Qualitative and quantitative data were obtained through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and tests. While the analysis technique uses interactive analysis and statistics (Paired Samples Test) simultaneously. The results of this study are: (1) Teaching materials for listening skills are developed with the characteristics of contextual teaching and learning, consisting of teacher and student books as well, where each book contains thirteen themes, and each theme contains two learning materials, both inside and outside the classroom independently. Each learning material contains audiovisual media as well as different enrichment exercises between several chapters; (2) The teaching material is feasible to be applied in learning, this is based on the assessment of three related experts who show a percentage of 94.4% with a very good predicate; (3) The use of designed teaching materials is considered effective for improving listening skills based on statistical calculations, with an estimate of T-count greater than T-table 2,002,65 which indicates a significant difference between Pretest and Posttest. Thus, the null hypothesis is rejected while the alternative hypothesis is accepted. This was also reinforced by the results of the student questionnaire which reached a percentage of 98.8%. The formal finding in this study is that teaching materials based on real situations and topics that are close to students' environment can improve their listening skills and learning outcomes. ABSTRAK Terdapat fenomena menurunnya kecenderungan dan minat mahasiswa dalam mempelajari keterampilan menyimak, dan diasumsikan bahwa sebab yang mendasarinya adalah penggunaan bahan ajar serta buku serial pembelajaran yang memuat beberapa pola serta dimensi budaya yang tidak bersentuhan langsung dengan kondisi mahasiswa dan lingkungan sekitarnya, bahkan pengalaman akademik dan sosialnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mendesain bahan ajar keterampilan menyimak berbasis pembelajaran kontekstual bagi mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab; (2) Mengetahui tingkat validitas bahan ajar keterampilan menyimak berbasis pembelajaran kontekstual bagi mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab; (3) Mengukur tingkat efektifitas penggunaan bahan ajar keterampilan menyimak berbasis pembelajaran kontekstual bagi mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab. Peneliti menngunakan metodologi penelitian dan pengembangan berdasarkan model Borg dan Gall dengan prilaku khusus, yaitu peneliti hanya menggunakan delapan langkah daripada yang seharusnya. Data kualitatif dan kuantitatif diperoleh melalui teknik observasi, angket, wawancara, dan tes. Sedangkan teknik analisisnya menggunakan analisis interaktif dan statistik (Paired Samples Test) secara bersamaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Bahan ajar keterampilan menyimak yang dikembangkan bercirikan pembelajaran kontekstual, terdiri dari buku guru dan siswa serta, dimana setiap buku memuat tiga belas tema, dan setiap tema terdapat dua materi pembelajaran, baik di dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas secara mandiri. Pada setiap materi pembelajaran berisi media audiovisual serta latihan pengayaan yang berbeda diantara beberapa bab; 2) Bahan ajar tersebut layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran, hal ini berdasarkan penilaian dari tiga orang ahli terkait yang menujukkan angka prosentase 94,4% dengan predikat sangat baik; (3) Penggunaan bahan ajar yang dirancang dinilai efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak berdasarkan perhitungan statistik, dengan estimasi T-hitung lebih besar dari T-tabel 2,002,65 yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara Pretest dan Postest. Dengan demikian maka hipotesis nol ditolak sedangkan hipotesis alternatif diterima. Hal ini juga diperkuat dengan hasil kuisioner mahasiswa yang mencapai presentase 98,8%. Temuan formal dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa bahan ajar berbasis situasi nyata serta topik yang dekat dengan lingkungan siswa mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak dan hasil belajarnya

    Articulation Methods to Increase Student Understanding in Balaghah Learning

    The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the articulation learning method, increase students' understanding of the articulation learning method, and find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of the articulation learning method in the Balaghah subject at Hasbullah Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School, Jombang. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the type of field research. Techniques in data collection are used in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses data analysis through condensation, presentation, and conclusion. The research results obtained by the researchers showed that (1) the implementation of the articulation learning method in increasing students' understanding at the Hasbullah Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang Islamic Boarding School went through three stages, namely the initial stage, the core stage, and the closing stage; (2) in increasing the understanding of the students experienced a significant increase, the data was taken from the learning evaluation; (3) factors supporting the implementation of the articulation learning method include supporting infrastructure, namely the completeness of Islamic boarding school facilities and infrastructure, complete learning books, while the inhibiting factors for the implementation of the articulation learning method differ in the characteristics and level of understanding of each student
