    La recepción de Frankenstein en España de mano de sus ilustradores

    This article examines the main Spanish visual readings of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein from the first illustrated edition in Spain (1944) to the significant 200th anniversary of its publication. Thus, how Mary Shelley’s novel has morphed throughout time depending on the different illustrators who have approached the text can be assessed while identifying the key illustrated editions for this period. The analysis of the illustrated reception and history of Frankenstein offers a new perspective into how the novel has been both read and “seen” in Spain. The results of this study shed light on diverse aspects of the novel such as the perception of the monster and how oft-neglected characters and episodes have been slowly added to the visual rendition of the novel.Este artículo estudia las principales interpretaciones gráficas del Frankenstein de Mary Shelley que se han realizado en España, desde la publicación de la primera edición ilustrada en 1944 hasta la conmemoración del 200.o aniversario de publicación del original. A la vez que identifica las ediciones ilustradas clave dentro del período y evalúa hasta qué punto la novela de Mary Shelley se ha ido transformando de la mano de los diferentes ilustradores. Al analizar la recepción y la historia de Frankenstein, este artículo ofrece una nueva perspectiva sobre cómo se ha leído y “visto” el texto en España. El resultado de este estudio arroja luz sobre diversos aspectos de la novela tales como el modo en que se ha percibido la criatura y en que el resto de los personajes y episodios, con frecuencia relegados, han ido incorporándose paulatinamente a la interpretación de la novela desde una perspectiva visual

    Operators with dense images everywhere

    In this paper, the authors introduce the dense-image operators T as those with a wild behaviour near of the boundary of a domain G, via certain subsets. The relationship with other kinds of operators with wild behaviour is studied, proving that the new concept generalizes the earlier of omnipresent, but there is no good relationship with the strongly omnipresent operators. We obtain, among other results, that the following kinds of operators are dense-image: onto linear operators; operators with local dense range satisfying soft conditions; Volterra complex integral operators plus infinite order differential operators, multiplication operators.     A Seidel-Walsh theorem with linear differential operators

    Assume that {Sn}∞1 is a sequence of automorphisms of the open unit disk D and that {Tn}∞1 is a sequence of linear differential operators with constant coefficients, both of them satisfying suitable conditions. We prove that for certain spaces X of holomorphic functions in the open unit disk, the set of functions f ∈ X such that {(Tnf) ◦ Sn : n ∈ N} is dense in H(D) is residual in X.     Genome stability involves accurate replication and DNA repair. Broken replication forks, such as those encountering a nick, lead to double strand breaks (DSBs), which are preferentially repaired by sister-chromatid recombination (SCR). To decipher the role of chromatin in eukaryotic DSB repair, here we analyze a collection of yeast chromatin-modifying mutants using a previously developed system for the molecular analysis of repair of replication-born DSBs by SCR based on a mini-HO site. We confirm the candidates through FLP-based systems based on a mutated version of the FLP flipase that causes nicks on either the leading or lagging DNA strands. We demonstrate that Rpd3L and Hda1 histone deacetylase (HDAC) complexes contribute to the repair of replication-born DSBs by facilitating cohesin loading, with no effect on other types of homology-dependent repair, thus preventing genome instability. We conclude that histone deacetylation favors general sister chromatid cohesion as a necessary step in SCR

    ERPA International Congresses on Education 2018This paper refers to the European project Erasmus + ELEF (European Learning Environment Formats for Citizenship and Democracy, Reference number 580426). The aim of this project is to develop, implement, evaluate and replicate democratic and innovative learning environments (good practices) in both educational institutions and informal and community learning environments. In this context, over the course of a year, a number of experiences considered relevant have been selected, which constitute the sample of this research on good practices. This contribution presents the educational programme “Youth Parliament”. This is a project with a long history and whose main objective is to train responsible citizens, with the collaboration of various educational agents. The evaluation carried out by the Secondary Education teachers in training on the potentialities and limitations of the programme is shown, based on the experiences carried out in the participating educational centres during the academic year 2016-2017
