OPTIMAL REGULATION AND GROWTH IN A NATURAL-RESOURCE-BASED ECONOMY

This paper develops a two-sector model for a renewable natural resource based economy. Pareto efficient results show the optimal harvesting rate that allows for sustained long-run optimal growth, which is upper-bounded by the biological rate of reproduction. Regulation prevents from resource over-exploitation and exhaustion which arise under open access. The Ramsey policy allowing the competitive economy to reach the first-best solution, leads the government to tax harvesting activity from firms and distribute the receipts among households. In the short-run the tax is variable. In the long-run, the lower the intrinsic rate of reproduction the higher the constant unit tax on the resource use.Natural Resources, Efficiency, Open Access, Ramsey Regulation, Growth.

Independent AND-parallel implementation of narrowing

We present a parallel graph narrowing machine, which is used to implement a functional logic language on a shared memory multiprocessor. It is an extensión of an abstract machine for a purely functional language. The result is a programmed graph reduction machine which integrates the mechanisms of unification, backtracking, and independent and-parallelism. In the machine, the subexpressions of an expression can run in parallel. In the case of backtracking, the structure of an expression is used to avoid the reevaluation of subexpressions as far as possible. Deterministic computations are detected. Their results are maintained and need not be reevaluated after backtracking

Pese a deficiencias en el funcionamiento y a su falta de ambición económica, la creación del programa Ibermedia ha sido un punto de inflexión para crear un espacio audiovisual común para la región iberoamericana. A través de un fondo financiero multilateral, el programa ha intentado estimular la coproducción de productos para el cine y la televisión, el montaje inicial de proyectos cinematográficos, la distribución de películas dentro del mercado regional y la formación de recursos humanos para la industria audiovisual. Realizar una primera evaluación de sus primeros años de funcionamiento (1998-2007), analizar las opiniones que se han vertido sobre el mismo, así como realizar una primera valoración de su impacto en la región es el objetivo central de este trabajo

Se presentan tres piezas inéditas del escultor sevillano Cristóbal Ramos (1725-1799) conservadas en Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz). The PP4-Montelirio sector of the prehistoric settlement of Valencina de la Concepción (Sevilla): spatial analysis

El presente trabajo aporta una valoración preliminar de las pautas de organización espacial del Sector PP4-Montelirio del asentamiento prehistórico de Valencina de la Concepción (Sevilla). En él hemos podido analizar cuantitativa y cualitativamente el registro de excavación del Sector PP4-M en términos espaciales. Para tal fin hemos construido un Sistema de Información Geográfico con el que poder llevar a cabo el análisis espacial y aportar nuevos datos al estudio sobre Valencina. Como valoración final, comprobamos que existe organización espacial en este sector, que la práctica funeraria no es exclusiva y que el registro empírico, junto con la variedad formal y disposición de las estructuras, sugieren la existencia de complejidad social.This paper provides a preliminary assessment about the spatial patterns of the PP4- Monteliro Sector of the prehistoric settlement of Valencina de la Concepción (Seville). We have been able to analyse the archaeological record of this zone quantitative and qualitatively in spatial terms. For this purpose, we have made a Geographical Information System to perform the spatial analysis and give new information about Valencina in its spatial organisation, production, trade and social complexity. As a final evaluation, we check that there is a spatial organisation, that funerary practice is not exclusive and that the empirical record, as well as the architecture and the localisation of the structures, suggest the existence of social complexity

Además de un breve repaso por la construcción de este coro, se aportan referencias sobre otras obras del mismo artista.The article presents a new work of Francisco Camacho de Mendoza (1680-1757), sculptor of Jerez de la Frontera: their involvement in the choir of the church of St. Mary in Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz).
