A Low-Cost FPGA-Based Test and Diagnosis Architecture for SRAMs

    Get PDF
The continues improvement of manufacturing technologies allows the realization of integrated circuits containing an ever increasing number of transistors. A major part of these devices is devoted to realize SRAM blocks. Test and diagnosis of SRAM circuits are therefore an important challenge for improving quality of next generation integrated circuits. This paper proposes a flexible platform for testing and diagnosis of SRAM circuits. The architecture is based on the use of a low cost FPGA based board allowing high diagnosability while keeping costs at a very low leve

    Convergence in Spanish provinces

This paper analyses to what extent the Spanish provinces have shown a convergence process since 1980 to nowadays. The application of the Phillips-Sul methodology to the HDI recently developped by IVIE lead us to show that we cannot admit the exitence of a unique convergence process between them. Rather, we can observe the exis- tence of di€erentiated clubs up to 2007. Higher school education and creativity plays determinant roles in explaining the evolution of these clubs. Im- provements in these variables are vital for the provinces to move to the clubs with highest HDI values

Coupling Between Thermal Oscillations in the Surface of a Micro-Cylinder and Vortex Shedding

    Get PDF
his article studies the coupling between prescribed thermal oscillations in the surface of a micro-cylinder and vortex shedding. We deal with the unsteady, laminar, compressible flow regime where the aerodynamics forces have a periodic behavior. It is shown that appropriate spatial and time-dependent temperature oscillations on the surface of the micro-cylinder create a resonance that controls the amplitude and frequency of both lift and drag coefficients. In practice, what we study is a mechanism to modulate the amplitude and frequency of mechanical loads of aerodynamics origin in a micro-structure by using surface temperature fluctuations as the control parameter

Profitability of private equity: mean reversion and transitory shocks.

    Get PDF
This paper deals with the analysis of the statistical properties of the profitability yielded by Private Equity from a fractionally integrated viewpoint. Using quarterly data from 1981q2 to 2021q3, the results support the hypothesis of stationarity and mean reversion in all cases; however, we observe differences in the degree of persistence across regions, Europe being the closest to short memory while the US shows the highest degree of long range dependence and thus the longer lasting effects of shocks. Some policy recommendations of the results obtained are included at the end of the manuscript.post-print997 K

Stabilization/solidification of zinc containing sludge using Portland cement

    Get PDF
Stabilization/Solidification process using Portland cement was applied for the treatment of sludge from hot-dip galvanization process. It is a process aimed at protecting and improving the quality of steel parts against the corrosion and oxidation caused by the humidity. Ordinary Portland cement was chosen as a binder for its affordability as a one of the cheapest type of binder and well known for its usability for hazardous waste treatment. Effectiveness of the process was evaluated using leaching tests according to both the EN 12457-4 standard and the Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure. The effect of the mixture composition on the process was analysed in terms of the extract toxicity and ability to retain pollutants in the concrete matrix. Furthermore, the obtained data were evaluated using statistical analysis, namely, multi-level factorial design of experiment. This paper deals with the waste from the pretreatment of steel pieces by degreasing and chemical cleaning the surface before the hot-dip galvanization process. This waste does not meet the regulatory levels of the pollutant leaching and thus its treatment is required before land disposal. The aim of this study was to stabilize and solidify this toxic waste and thus fulfil the limit values required for land disposal
