Decision-support method for profitable residential energy retrofitting based on energy-related occupant behaviour
Low-carbon energy retrofitting in buildings plays an important role because 75% of European buildings
are considered inefficient and more than 40% are currently over 50 years old. The economic reinvestment
of energy retrofit actions through reduced energy bills, as energy directives promote, greatly depends
upon the energy consumption patterns. In support of the decision-making process towards a low-carbon
energy transition in multi-family buildings, this paper introduces a novel assessment method that
evaluates the profitability of energy efficiency measures, according to standard operating conditions
derived from energy performance certificate procedures and real occupant energy consumption scenarios, through a parametric analysis. The aim is to assess the real energy and economic savings of
retrofitting actions, depending on different energy-related occupant scenarios, and to enable comparisons with other buildings, providing a valuable model to identify the most feasible and low-carbon
energy strategies in residential energy retrofitting. A Spanish multi-family building from 1942 is taken
as the reference case study. The results show that energy savings for dwellings vary up to 80%, and the
net present value per dwelling differs by up to 20,000V between different energy consumption patterns.
The most appropriate energy efficiency measures according to low, medium or high consumption scenarios are highlighted
[EN] he present end-of-degree work focuses on the historical, technical and analytical study of a painting on canvas of devotional type, where the image of Our Lady of Carmen is represented, in order to determine whether or not it is related to painting Novohispanic of the eighteenth century.
The scene shows the Virgin dressed in the brown Carmelite habit and white mantle, holding the scapular with the Carmelite shield with her left hand, and another shield embroidered on her chest. It appears represented with the child in arms, being crowned by small angels that frame it next to a celestial group of cherubs of oval form.
The work executed in oil on canvas, is preserved without tension in a frame, rolled with paint inside a wooden bar, and housed in a cylindrical wooden box, which allows its transport and mobility, hence the definition of work 'pilgrim'. These issues directly linked to his devotional function, are precisely those that have led to the serious state of conservation that presents the piece today, with serious tears in its support and large amount of material loss of color.

epítopo HA fusionado a resinas comerciales.
[EN] The alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV) infects alfalfa and more than 600 plant species of agronomic interest
such as tomato, potato or pepper. The virus is transmitted through pollen, seeds and aphids. The
genome of the virus is formed by 3 molecules of ribonucleic acid (RNA 1, RNA 2 and RNA 3) of single
chain and of positive polarity. RNAs 1 and 2 encode the subunits of the viral replicase; RNA 3 encodes
the movement protein (MP) and serves as a template for the synthesis of a subgenomic RNA (sgRNA
4) that codes for the coat protein (CP). In this virus, the CP is a multifunctional protein that is involved
in various processes of the infectious cycle of the virus. Viruses as intracellular parasites need to alter
the function of different host components to multiply. In many cases, viruses use their own viral
proteins to interact with host factors and thus subvert their function in favor of the pathogen. In the
case of AMV, the involvement of the CP in different processes of the replication cycle makes it an
excellent candidate to identify host proteins that interact with this protein and participate in the viral
cycle.
In this work, first, the construction of a modified RNA 3 to express a second copy of the CP of the
AMV fused to the epitope of hemagglutinin (HA) (3xHACP) has been addressed. This modified protein
may be immunoprecipitated using an antibody against the HA epitope fused to commercial resins.
Subsequently, a series of 3xHACP immunoprecipitation protocols have been developed for both
nuclear and cytoplasmic fractions of infected cells.
The results obtained in this work show that the duplication of the CP with the 3xHACP copy in RNA 3
does not interfere in the replication process of this viral RNA. This modified RNA 3 constitutes a
molecular tool that could be used in co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) studies to identify host factors
that interact with CP.Faura Molina, Á. (2019).

Location of hillfort culture settlements by means of aerial archaeology in the municipality of Carral, Galicia
The use of aerial photography as an archaeological tool allows the identification of archaeological remains and human settlements, and may also provide knowledge about their evolution within their surroundings. However, this identification must be accompanied by the support of documentary or oral sources as, in some cases, aerial photography by itself does not allow their identification, due to the changes and the evolution of the countryside. Using the potential of aerial photography to identify the archaeological heritage, various Iron Age settlements were analysed in an area of the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, specifically in an area in the municipality of Carral. These settlements are termed “castros”, and are characteristic of the Hillfort or Castro (Castrexa Culture) in Galicia
From the concesion of the Nobel prize to Sperry, studies about the brain have acquired a predominant role in the present science. We explain three representative approaches the cerebral hemisphere (Sperry), the triple brain (MacLean) and the total brain (Herrmann). Our purpose is to analyze the repercussions of this research on the field of learning: styles of thinking and learning, to learn with all senses, the affectiveness a basic component, the positive atmosphere creation, ...through an experience. We show an experience about to "learn with pictures", sketches and simulations, to create teaching resources. One main conclusion is that who learns is the "whole person" and "to learn to think" means a possible change in learning and in methodological strategies.
