A study of hydrostatic co-extrusion of a hard-core/soft-clad bi-metallic compound has been conducted. The research employs the Sachs\u27 boring-out technique to determine the residual stress distribution in a hydrostatically co-extruded copper-clad Gildcop composite. A parallel simulation of the residual stress distribution in such composites extruded to extrusion ratios of 2.25, 4.0, and 7.5 was conducted using the ABAQUS finite element code. The version of the code employed uses an elastic-plastic constitutive law for material behavior and does not simulate deformation heating effects. Data for the mechanical properties were obtained experimentally by constant true strain-rate tests on material identical to that used in the extrusion experiments. The results indicate that the extrusion pressure varies linearly with the natural logarithm of the extrusion ratio. The simulation results obtained for this pressure, however, are generally higher than those found in experiments. Comparison of the experimental and numerical results of the residual stresses indicate that although the two results are qualitatively similar, they are quantitatively different. In all cases, the experimental results were much lower than those of numerical calculations, implying that some recovery has occurred during the extrusion process. The investigation shows, however, that finite element analysis in conjunction with experimental measurements can be applied successfully to predict and verify the qualitative residual stress patterns developed in hydrostatically extruded products

This paper presents a new variable step-size normalized subband adaptive filter (VSS-NSAF) algorithm. In the proposed VSS-NSAF, the step-size changes in order to have largest decrease in themean square deviation (MSD) for sequential iterations. To reduce the computational complexity of VSS-NSAF, the variable step-size selective partial update normalized subband adaptive filter (VSS-SPU-NSAF) is proposed. In this algorithm the filter coefficients are partially updated in each subband at every iteration. Simulation results show the good performance of the proposed algorithms in convergence speed and steady-state MSD.U ovom radu prikazan je novi algoritam za normirani adaptivni filtar s promjenjivim korakom.

Background: Ethics is of great significance in the medical community, i.e., because of the importance of this profession. How a physician manages a medical error, regardless of its cause, is among the major issues of medical ethics. Given the nature of the medical profession, medical malpractice may occur at any time during treatment. Medical malpractice is frequent in Iran and other countries. Methods: The present cross-sectional study was conducted using a researcher-made checklist. The study participants attended legal medicine training and refresher courses in Mashhad and Sabzevar Cities, Iran, from June 2012 to June 2017.Results: During five years, 1537 cases were enrolled in the study. Most of the study participants were female (n=832, 52.89%), with a Mean±SD age of 32.3±3.4 years. All study participants, except for 25 (1.58%) subjects answered “I do not disclose the malpractice” to the question “would you disclose your medical malpractice with treatable harm to the patient, while he/she gets hurt by not revealing the malpractice?”; the rest [1463 (92.94%) individuals] answered “I disclose the malpractice, but I do not mention that the harm is due to malpractice, and 85 (5.40%) participants answered, “I disclose the malpractice to the patient and mention that the harm is due to malpractice and it could be cured.” Conclusion: The study findings suggested that the majority of study participants did not tend to disclose their malpractice to patients and their families

Diagenetic factors controlling reservoir quality in the Faraghan Formation (Lower Permian), Darang Field, Southern Iran

The role of diagenesis in affecting (reduction or enhancement) reservoir quality in the Faraghan Formation in Darang #1 well was investigated. The Faraghan Formation is mainly composed of sandstone facies along with minor mudstone and siltstone and grades upward into mixed carbonate –siliciclastic facies and then to Dalan Formation carbonates. Depositional environment of this formation comprises various sub-environments of a delta setting in the lower part of the formation which grades upward into a shallow marine clastic environment in the upper part. The processes enhancing reservoir quality include dissolution of carbonate grains and cements and alteration of feldspar grains. Burial history diagram shows that after deposition during Lower Permain, the formation underwent a rapid burial up to 1000 meters below sea level in Upper Permian. Then a slight uplift (about 100 meters) and gradual burial followed up to Mid- Jurassic. Afterwards the formation experienced a series of rapid and moderate uplift from Mid-Jurassic to Tertiary when the formation uplifted to around 2500 meters above sea level. The suitable conditions resulting in dissolution took place in shallow buried sandstones. These conditions occurred two times during burial history: at the early stages of eodiagenesis and during telodiagenesis. The major processes deteriorating reservoir quality include compaction and cementation. Major cement types include carbonate cements (dolomite, siderite), clay cements (kaolinite, sericite, chlorite), silica cement and pyrite cement. The most abundant cement is the carbonate cement especially dolomite. The dolomite cement occurs as intergranular and poikilotopic forms. The most frequent clay cement is sericite which dominates in sitstones and lithicarenites. Silica cement, where present, fills all the pore spaces. The least frequent cement type is pyrite which is found in two forms of poikilotopic and framboidal. Where it is found in the form of poikilotopic cement, it massively fills the pore spaces and deteriorates the porosity and permeability of the sandstones

The role of disclosure quality in financial reporting

Great emphasis has been put on the quality and importance of financial information disclosure in the theoretical foundations of accounting. This research focuses on the role of disclosure quality in financial reporting. The main reason behind choosing this subject was the criticality of financial information disclosure in the current world of trading. The current research is descriptive-scientific in nature and uses library research methods. In this research, we reviewed the quality and definitions of disclosure, discussed mandatory and voluntary disclosure, disclosure levels, and disclosure audience, and at the end, reviewed and determined the relationship between the quality of disclosure and characteristics such as information asymmetry, profit management, capital expenditure, and corporate size

AbstractAdvances in informational and communication technology due to rapid technological changes made e-service innovations possible. The new technologies compete with other methods to meet the needs of consumers and provide innovation in new services and create new challenges for service providers who offer to their customer's high quality and customized services. In this regard, companies that offer distinguished and useful services to customers have more loyal customers rather than their competitor. Understanding the impact of consumer response to innovations on their loyalty is crucial for service providers in the field of digital products. Therefore, the aim of this study is the investigation of the impact of Innovation in Electronic Service on brand equity and customer loyalty in Samsung International Corporation. In this regard, data from 384 users of Samsung mobile phone who have used the services of this company was collected and tested through structural equation modeling. The findings of the study confirmed the impact of customized services and technology leadership on the brand equity, while direct impact of service innovation on brand equity was not found significant. Positive impact of technology leadership and brand equity on customer loyalty was also approved
