It has not been said to the Messengers before you that your Lord is a wielder of forgiveness and painful punishment .(43) It has been detailed that in order for such a law to have the characteristics of its sources, it must be characterized by the attributes of perfection and precision in its provisions, so that it is based on achieving and complementing the interests of the people, as well as warding off and minimizing evil for them. Al-Baqarah: ,185 and one of the manifestations of His mercy, Glory be to Him, is that He made the goal of justice among the purposes that are realized by the provisions that characterize this noble Sharia. ``Indeed, God commands justice and kindness and giving to kin and forbids immorality, evil, and transgression against you''. An-Nahl: ,90 until life is straight and sweet, and this justice is sought by the reader and researcher in the details of the Sharia provisions, whether in worship or in contracts and transactions, and as a succession of divine proofs that this Sharia is valid for all times and places, and capable of refuting fabrications of falsehoods and spoiler suspicions. To give solutions to the biggest dilemmas and challenges facing humanity in its journey on this earth, so we can find this justice clearly in the provisions related to marriage, whose legitimacy is intended, as it makes the obligated person in a state of tranquility while he responds to the call of instinct, and satisfies his instinct with an outlet that God and his law made for them, which is marriage. And He forbade them fornication and incest, "And those who are to guard their private parts" .(29) Except against their spouses or what any of their oaths contain, they cannot be blamed .(30) So, whoever seeks after that, then those are the transgressors .(31) Al-Maarij: and through the provisions of marriage, we can establish a family of peace, affection, and mercy, and all of this comes through activating the purpose of justice, whose provisions emphasize the need for the family entity to be established on it. Between the spouses, the provisions of legal guardianship and discipline and polygamy for wives through a jurisprudential study based on the sources and references of the four schools of jurisprudence and intentional books, emphasizing their role in achieving and nurturing the goal of justice in a manner distinguished by refuting the suspicions of those who follow their desires and want to destroy this divine structure, which is one of the great signs in which He was grateful to his creation. This thesis presents a methodology for crane selection, location, and utilization on construction sites. It first describes the current practices and discusses the factors that are considered in the selection process, then it introduces a crane selection methodology. This methodology was used in the development of a computer-integrated system, designed to support users in the selection and location of appropriate cranes for their construction projects. The system integrates a relational database, a selection module, an optimization routine, and 3D-graphics and animation module. The developed system provides its users with powerful graphics capabilities, featuring a multimedia environment and a practical user-friendly interface. The system offers the flexibility in using metric and empirical units and can be run in a network environment. Its database system can accommodate different types of commercially available cranes, and powerful storage, sorting, and query routines. The system was implemented using MS-Visual Basic, MS-Access DBMS, AutoCAD, and 3D-Stodio. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the use and capabilities of the developed system

Purpose:  The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of some micro factors (liquidity and profitability factors) of the Iraqi banking sector in determining the return of the stock market represented by the return of the Iraqi financial market index using time series analysis according to the ARDL methodology for the period 2005-2021.   Design/methodology/approach:  The study adopted an econometrics analysis of time series using the ARDL (auto-regressive distributed lag) methodology for the period 2005-2021 to investigate the impact of some micro factors (liquidity and profitability ratios) in Iraqi banking sector listed in Iraq stock exchange market on market return (Iraq Stock Exchange Index as a benchmark).   Findings:  The results of this study reveal significant effects of the financial factors for micro factor on the Iraqi Stock Exchange index. It is interesting that the variables of banking liquidity showed a stronger logical relationship with the dependent variable in line with financial theory than the variables of banking profitability. The relationship between the micro factors model and the financial market index required a long-term adjustment equivalent to (0.2124) of the time needed to adjust to the balanced state according to the error correction equation.   Research, Practical & Social implications: These results confirm the importance of taking into account micro-financial factors when making financing and investment decisions, as well as when evaluating the economic situation in the Iraqi banking sector. Understanding the impact of these factors and their relationships contributes to decision-making and enhances general forecasting of future economic volatility and risk management.   Originality/value:  This study provides valuable insights into the dynamics of the Iraqi financial market and highlights the importance of incorporating micro-financial factors into financial analyzes and investment strategies. The study recommends that future research should explore the complex links between macroeconomic factors and the financial market to gain a comprehensive understanding of the economic environment

© 2016, Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management. Institutions in higher education generate terabytes of data that has great value to shape future of nations. This Big Data is in heterogeneous formats, very current, and in large volumes. We propose a framework to collect, scope and verify this large amount of data. The analysis of the data is used to evaluate the institution against a standard set by an accreditation body, for the purpose of the academic accreditation of higher education programs. Therefore, the framework reduces human involvement in accreditation. The paper provides the detailed design of the process of aligning assessment with student learning outcomes

HYBRID LIFE CYCLE SUSTAINABILITY ASSESSMENT OF LIQUIFIED NATURAL GAS SUPPLY CHAIN

    Get PDF
Integrating sustainability into the distribution network process is a significant problem for any industry hoping to prosper or survive in today's fast-paced environment. Since gas is one of the world's most important fuel sources, sustainability is more important for the gas industry. While such environmental and economic effects have been extensively researched in the literature, there is little emphasis on the full social sustainability of natural gas production and supply chains in terms of the triple bottom line. The basic objective of this dissertation is to perform the first hybrid life cycle sustainability assessment (LCSA) of liquefied natural gas and evaluate its performance from natural gas extraction to LNG regasification after delivery through a maritime transport carrier. LCSA is used for estimating the social, economic, and environmental impacts of processes, and our life cycle model included the multi-region input-output analysis, Aspen HYSYS, and LNG maritime transport operations sustainability assessment tools. The results spot the light on the most contributors of CO2-eq emission. It is found that LNG loading (export terminal) is the source that generated the highest carbon footprint, followed by the MDEA sweetening unit with the contribution of 40% and 24%, respectively. Socially, around 73% of human health impact comes from SRU and TGTU units, which contribute most to particulate matter emissions. Based on the interpretation of life cycle results, the environmental indicators show better performance in the pre-separation unit and LNG receiving terminal representing a sustainability factor equal to 1. In terms of social and economic impacts, the natural gas extraction stage presents the best performance among all other stages, with a sustainability factor equal to 1. Based on this study's findings, an integrated framework model is proposed. Various suggestions for sustainability strategies and policies that consider business sustainability and geopolitics risk are presented

Performance improvement of simplified synchronous generators using an active power filter

    Get PDF
Active power filters (APF) are used to improve power quality and are commonly connected in parallel with the load at the point of common coupling (PCC). They are used to compensate for harmonics from nonlinear loads, for reactive power compensation and/or balancing mains currents. This paper will investigate the effect of using an APF to improve the output power quality of a simplified synchronous generator (SSG) with distorted back-EMF. The work will further investigate the use of an APF in parallel to improve the transient response of synchronous generator without damper bars, in order to control the dynamic response from a sudden change in the connected load. Using an APF, simulation results show significant improvements in both generator output current quality and transient response to load step changes without damper bars

    Get PDF
In this globalization era, sustainable constructions have taken on some new steps to stimulate green building practice.Green building criteria basis are energy efficiency, material and resource conservation and sustainable design of the building itself.Energy efficiency still has a long way to go, due to some barriers that prevail in the practice of energy efficiency.Similarly, materials and design that are originally used have created various issues related to the environment and human health. In Malaysia, people’s level of awareness about green building is still low and they have minimum understanding and lack of familiarity about green materials and sustainable design.According to Klufallah, Nuruddin, Khamidi and Jamaludin (2014), 24% of total of carbon dioxide (CO2) comes from the construction sector in the Malaysia. Therefore, this study aims to look into building energy efficiency and materials and design employed in green buildings to achieve constructive sustainability and to establish the benefits of utilizing energy efficiency, green materials and sustainable design. This study will be done using a case of the construction sector in Malaysia. The data will be collected through an interview with several Property Development Companies or projects that apply the green building criteria. The recommendation is that more property development companies should be interviewed so that more comprehensive results can be gathered
