THE MOTIF OF DUALITY IN ANNE SEXTON’S POETRY

The article focuses on the peculiarities of the duality motif development in the poetry of Anne Sexton – a well-known American female poet. The analysis is centered on ways of the duality motif realization in the images of the “double” and the Doppelgänger as well as the mirror and reflection images in Sexton’s poetry. What is more, the duality motif is viewed as one of the dominant in American women’s poetry and is compared in the poetry of Anne Sexton and her female contemporary Sylvia Plath. The research has shown that in Anne Sexton’s poetry the motif of duality involves a creation of the “Doppelgänger” image which is a ghostly double or counterpart of a living person – poet’s lyrical persona.The problem of “two worlds” in Sexton’s poetry is embodied in the mirror and reflection images, and leads to a wide exploration of the otherness theme. It has also been pointed out that the creation of the other supernatural counterpart, a Doppelgänger of her second self generates from the poet’s uneasiness with male myths of femininity and is developed into the wider motif complexes which include despair, madness, suicide, dying and resurrection.Статья посвящена изучению специфики художественного выражения мотивадвойничества в лирике Энн Секстон. В статье рассмотрены особенности воплощения этого мотива в образах Другого, Двойника, зеркала, а также связь с мотивами отражения и отчуждения. В работе проанализирована взаимосвязь мотивов дуальности и инаковости, которые представляют собой константные мотивы американской женской поэзии второй половины ХХ века.Стаття присвячена вивченню специфіки художньої реалізації мотиву двій-ництва в ліриці Енн Секстон. У статті розглянуто особливості втілення цього мотиву в образах Іншого, Двійника, дзеркала, зв’язок з мотивами віддзеркалення та відчуження. В роботі проаналізована пов’язаність мотивів двійництва та інакшості, які стають найбільш константними мотивами в американській жіночій поезії другої половини ХХ століття

Opportunity and accounts consolidation conditions

This paper presents some aspects regarding competition and harmonization in European Union fiscal policy, especially after the last enlargement on 2007. The problem of tax harmonization is connected with tax competition in the context of increasing capital mobility between different countries. Using a panel data for EU countries, analyzed on 1995- 2004, we find significant correlations between the implicit tax rate of business income and corporation profits and the budget deficit, public debt, GDP per capita and the degree of openness of countries, the last variable is used as a proxy for capital mobility.fiscal policy, tax competition, tax harmonization.

Лексика угорського походження в говірці села Cімер Перечинського району Закарпатської області (The vocabulary of Hungarian origin in the subdialect of the village of Simer in Perechyn district, Transcarpathian region)

У статті подані угорські запозичення в ужанській говірці села Сімер Перечинського району Закарпатської області, простежено наявність цих лексем в інших говірках України, слова поділені на тематичні групи. Об’єктом дослідження є гунгаризми в складі лексики, зібраної за допомогою польових записів протягом 2012-2015 років. У результаті проведеного дослідження автори статті доходять висновку про те, що говірка села багата на іншомовні запозичення, найбільшу частку яких становлять слова західнослов’янського та угорського походження. (Borrowings from the Hungarian language at the present time constitute one of the specific lexical features of the Transcarpathian dialects and are used mainly in dialectal speech. The article contains of the Hungarian borrowings in Uzhansky subdialect of the village of Simer in Perechyn district, Transcarpathian region, traced the presence of these lexemes in other dialects of Ukraine. The object of study is the Hungarian borrowings in the composition of vocabulary, collected through field notes from 2012 to 2015. The words are divided into the following thematic groups: names of clothes, names of kinds of shoes, the names of food, names of kitchen utensils, names of family affinity, names of household items, names on the designation of land plots, the names of human qualities, vehicles names, trade-related names, monetary relationships, names associated with professional activity, names associated with the housing and surrounding area, the administrative names. Borrowings from the Hungarian language in the speech of residents of the village of Simer relate mainly to household sphere. The authors of the article examine in detail some Hungarian borrowings from the thematic group of «Names of clothes», which is the most numerous among all existing groups in the dialect. As a result of our research efforts authors came to the conclusion that the dialect of the village is rich in borrowings, the greatest percentage of words West Slavic and Hungarian origin. A significant part of borrowed researched vocabulary recently becoming an archaism from dialects carrier they are replaced by new dialect formation or literary lexeme.

Forecasting Irish Inflation: A Composite Leading Indicator

This paper presents the results of research into the construction of a composite leading indicator of the Irish rate of inflation, as measured by the annual percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). It follows the work of Fagan and Fell (1994) who applied the business cycle leading indicator methodology, initially established by Mitchell and Burns (1938,1946), to construct a composite leading indicator of the Irish business cycle.
